My main reason is to try to get hold until a nice profit is made, some coins like storjx (old storj) rlc, firstblood, profit was/is low, but others like particle (old name shadowcash) , taas, waves.
They have been giving me nice returns Smiley

And no, i realy dont try to understand mutch about the reasons of the ico itself, but i do read the whitepapers and if found interesting will invest

Why do you, if you do, invest in ICOs?

I believe that ICOs are changing the way companies get funded forever. It's a way for early-stage companies to raise capital without the gatekeepers, constraints, and manipulations of traditional markets. ICO's are going to be a huge part of the democratization of traditionally elite industries like Venture Capital.

Early stage companies are about as high risk/high reward as you can get. ICO's offer this opportunity directly to the general public instead of just a few wealthy investors that supply VC's with capital.

With that said, only a small % of ICO's will be massive industry leaders, and many are little more than scams. That's why due diligence is extremely important in this space.

Because you can do X for a small period of time, but now it harder to do.
Now you will surprise nobody 30 % increase deposit, people need 3000% ASAP.
But you can lose everything.
High risk - high reward.

It seems right, even though investing in some ICO's are risky but it's totally a big profit if that certain project will succeed. In fact, investors have it's right to choose which one would be promising and legit ICO, and make decision to invest.

I used to invest in ICO's but soon I realized that there are too many ICO's, money will be spread on all sorts of nonsense ICOs and the good ones will be pumped and dumped, if cryptocurrency is accepted widely in the world with a good project other ICO's are welcome to solve problems if you ask me.

Because ICO's have a very low price and you get extra tokens if you invest in the ICO time

People invest in ICO for more profit. But it is so difficult to select a potential ICO. Because there is a lot to scam ICO. If you can choose a potential ICO and you can invest their so you will make a huge profit which you can't imagine now.

Everyone wants to get the maximum benefit and snatch a piece .. Everybody wants to get on that very good project and try to find it.
yes we trying to find a good project which is an opportunity that would bring a great profit in the future or bring a profit in the short term which is scarcely happen. we trade our coin into another coin with a risk to loose and gain. that why i think why we invest in ico. for sure its all about gain a profit.

I personally invest in interesting projects that i think will change the current landscape rather than just for profit.

Of course making a tidy turnover is also on my mind. ICO's are high risk but can be very high rewards. I think most people are just looking for the next bitcoin so they can get really rich.

Hi,
this thread I want to ask you: Why do you, if you do, invest in ICOs?
I see horrible huge amounts of money going to those. What do investors think to get in return?
Mostly it's the same case: ICO starts, much money comes in, you get the coins.
But what if those coins do not get back the initial worth?
Or do you invest because of other reasons?

For example (disclaimer: this is NOT hate!):
Why did trueflip.io get over $4,7 Million?

Thank you for answers!
We invest in those projects that we see some potential in the future to earn more and more money through ICO's. We only need smaller capital but in my case I did not invested my money on ICO's just my time to earn tokens. I invested my time through signature bounties in exchange of tokens so if the project is a scam I lost only my time not my money. My only reason to invest is to have all the value per tokens multiplied by 10 or up but sometimes we fail in this expectations so beware.I know that all of us want to have a bigger return than our investments so we have to learn to let go in every failures and find new hope.

I invest to some ICO that I think promising and have an opportunity to pump , I read and analyze the concept of ICO where I want to invest. If I feel that ICO is worth the risk , then I dont doubt myself I just invest it and wait for it to pump to double or to gain more profit.

Betking.io - Best Bitcoin Casino

I personally invest in ICOs because they give the best chances of doubling my money.

Its riskier, but should payout better, if you find the right ICO, and that is the big IF.

Also, I have a similar operating system. He informed me of this as my friend. This is a risky but very effective way of gathering.
