It feels like OP is new to sports betting. This is common sense IMO. I think the better question is why are women's sports not as popular as men's? Because why would people bet on a sport that they are not following? I bet regularly on e-sports, basketball, boxing, and MMA. But I haven't made a single bet throughout my life on women's basketball because I am not familiar with its players. And I am not familiar with women's basketball because I am not interested.

There are sports where I am more excited watching women though, like tennis and volleyball. Women's boxing and MMA are as exciting as men's depending on their individual fighting styles. So it really depends on someone's interest. Generally, men's sports are more popular than women's sports. But I believe women's sports are growing since more countries and people are more aware of gender equality.

If we talk about how the audiences of fans of women’s sports, men’s sports and betting intersect, then we must mention that the majority of bettors are men. This is an additional factor to betting mainly on men's sports. By the way, I would be interested to know the statistics regarding female bettors - what competitions they prefer, both by type of sport and by gender.

My bad, I noticed this late. You have a point, men mostly watch men's sports which matters when they bet.

You also made me curious about the statistics so I did a little search. Here's some interesting stats I found;
- 64% of gamblers are men while only 36% (7.5% increase since 2015) are women.
- 46% of men into gambling love the more strategic sports betting while almost 50% of the women prefer the more entertaining casino games.
- 46% of men and 42% of women were influenced by gambling ads.
- Gambling posts on social media influenced 56% of women.

I do not know if this has been discussed before, but I want to know why most discussions on sports asides tennis is about the men's side of it and the women side is about only barely mentioned. Take football for example. Why is there low engagement in women sports from the side of viewers and even gamblers who are sports bettors? Is it not easier to win on gambling on women sports than men's sport? or is there no gambling site offering odds for betting on women sports?
There are past threads about the involvement of men and women in gambling but I think this one here is a little different. Now on the question, I think it has to do with the number of games that are available. There are lots of games which are being played by men than women.

Another thing is that women aren't like men when it comes to sports or gambling interests. Lastly, as a men, I think it's kind a gay if I will prefer the women's sports. In terms of chances of winning, I think it was still the same. The game is still being played usually by the two opposing teams or players. Each of them has a hunger to win but doing some analysis might help.

Well you will realize soon that there are much less, maybe zero, women sports in betting sites. In my own country there are literally 0 women based sports matches on released calendars every week. Sad but its pretty much norm for gamblers and sports lovers to watch men sports. For example when we talk about football and world cup we directly mention men. Lately there was women's world cup, which was actually enjoyable in competition. Could really be viable in betting websites.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
Uhmmm... sports generally is all about men and, if you can analyse properly, you'll realize we've got almost 96% of men, giving in atleast 89% strength and patronage to the gambling industries.
How many sports do we have women participating actively?? Apart from tennis and soccer??... I just feel they're weak and can't produce the same energy as the men do. Secondly, there are women major leagues that supersedes the men leauge....how does that sound??

Why is there low engagement in women sports from the side of viewers and even gamblers who are sports bettors?
We love more males sports. It has been right from time immemorial before women's sports. It is highly talked about, highly viewed, highly bet on.

Is it not easier to win on gambling on women sports than men's sport? or is there no gambling site offering odds for betting on women sports?
There are more men's game than female's. Check any casino website even when Chelsea female team and Manchester United female are playing, you'll never find them on the sports betting site.

Take football for example. Why is there low engagement in women sports from the side of viewers and even gamblers who are sports bettors?

The answer is very simple. I bet on sports that I watch, enjoy and understand, therefore I don't bet on American football (yes that's what this is called here because football is football, only Americans call it soccer. There's no such word in my language, there's only football, rugby and American football). I also don't bet on female football teams because I feel like their play is a lot more boring and inaccurate, less competitive, so I don't watch it and I don't bet on it.

Sorry to correct you OP from your title when you indicated that tennis is not included, i would like to ask that how many people do you think also gamble tennis among other world most recognized sport games being played, the fact remains that women sports can be easily predicted and the fun and suspense in men's games cannot be compared with that of women sport games, the entertaining aspect is also what many gamblers considers, women are trying but the difference is clear that their games cannot be compared to men's.

The match is less exciting to watch, less challenging to place a bet there and there is no greater sensation when betting there.

The physical differences between women and men are too great, this is what makes sports played by women not very popular among sports fans and sports betting players. Because no matter how good women are at playing football, none of them can match the greatness and popularity of Cristiano Ronaldo and will not be able to compete with the skills possessed by Lionel Messi. And until recently I had never thought about betting on women's sports.
And we can see for ourselves that if there is a World Cup soccer match, people can't wait for it and people's enthusiasm for watching the match is so great that they even have to scramble for tickets and order far in advance to be able to watch the match live. which is very different when there is a world cup event, namely women's football, I see that people are less enthusiastic about watching the event and TV channels very rarely broadcast the event.

Depending on each individual's tastes, there is a big difference between men's sports and women's sports, especially football, as you mentioned in Op. Men's football is more exciting and has many fans than women's football. In addition, women's football is not as popular as men's football and most of those placing bets are men. Please see how enthusiastic fans are between women's sports and men's sports. The significant difference makes fans prefer to place bets on men's sports.

i never bet on women's sports, i don't know them at all, i think that women have an age limit in sports, usually they will immediately focus on family when they get married and have children, in contrast to men, who can continue to be athletes even though they i'm married and have children, basically i don't have any idols in sports played by women, so i won't take the risk of betting on women's sports.

It is true that currently women's involvement in the world of sports is very large, but because of the relatively large physical differences, men's sports are more exciting and of higher quality compared to women's. So men's sports are very interesting to watch because after all sports really rely on physicality as a determinant. Apart from that, if seen from the fans' point of view, of course men's sports are more popular and followed by many people compared to women's sports and this is the reason why most people bet on men's sports.

I do agree that women are getting into sports but still, their ratio is less as compared to men's sports.

Sometimes I feel that if you watch women's sports, you will find that it is fairly easy to bet on women's sports and make some easy money. The reason I say this is because in some sports the difference of performance between the teams is very high. For example, if you take Women's cricket, the England and Australian women's cricket teams are very strong as compared to the Asian countries' women's team.

So if you find a match between England / Australian women's cricket vs. any Asian cricket women's team, you can easily bet on the England or Australian women's cricket team and win some easy money.

You are right that betting on sports played by women is easier than betting on sports played by men. If what we are looking for in gambling is money, maybe betting on women's sports can answer that, but if what we are looking for in gambling is sensation and challenge, it means we have to bet on men's sports.

And until now, when I bet on sports with friends, I never bet on women's sports because it's not interesting to watch and what's more, there are no athletes I idolize in women's sports.

Very few watch women's games whereas the majority gets used with the men's. For some people it used to be surprising to know are women team in every game. Another thing even the well known tesm picks on gambling disappoints. Completely not known and going on a random choice is kind of testing our luck. This is the reason with majority of the people not spending on women's games.

I don't know how tennis got to be exceptional, because majority of the gamblers were well aware of the women tennis players and their performance. Similar scenario needs to happen with rest of the games. By then we can see more betting taking place on women games.

First of all I think popular mens sports have more popularity than women sports. And for this most gambling websites give more priority to men's sports in their options. However things have decreased now as now many good gambling websites support women's sports.
Now I don't know who you blame for men's sports being popular, maybe our social system. From the past it has been happening that women are less interested in sports although it is changing now but I think psychologically women are less interested in such sports and their participation in them as well as all other related activities have fallen behind. But I've noticed a lot of discussion on women's sports betting on this forum. Also I think everyone may have their own preferences that they prefer to bet on these sports because they know more about them. If I talk about myself then I prefer men's cricket in terms of sports because I know more about this game than others like which team is stronger which players can perform better. Smiley

The question should be who are those that are discussing the sports here in bitcointalk forum, it is the male gender and which sports is more interesting between the male and female genders, it is the male. Which among them is the most popular, it is also the male gender sports that is so popular.
Who are the gamblers, it is also the male gender. I think these said it all why the male sports is more popular and discussed. I sincerely do not know the names of many female footballers because I do not follow up their sports.

As others have said, men's sports are watched the most at the moment and when there is wider coverage there is less likely to be cheating involve (the most extreme example, but a consideration that most betting sites will be making). I see no difference on betting on either type, but you go with what is currently on offer at the bookmaker, which currently is almost exclusively men. Unless you get into things like tennis, or special events like the women's golf tour. There should be zero difference in the profitability between mens and womens, bookmakers calculate odds on the outcomes - while there may be a little less data potentially available, the odds would still be priced as reasonably as possible.

The comparison ratio between the two event varies very greatly as men sports is more watched and has a higher number of participation and fans, but the women sports is something that is gradually growing and even has limited involvement in some sport books but I know it's all a thing of due process and time as it's gradually gaining population and crowd.

As a true bettor there will be no excuse for the site they use not providing women's sports and as a bettor they should look for another site that provides women's sports betting.
But back to each gambler because usually every gambler has different hobbies, for example, I have a hobby of watching men's football and cannot be forced to bet on women's sports, even though some people say it is very easy to make a profit, but I always refuse it except only when want to occasionally try betting on women's sports I will do it once to try my luck.
Every gambler will look for a gambling site that has sports betting according to their hobby, if they like some sports that involve women such as tennis and football then they will bet on a gambling site that has these sports, the level of women's sports betting is very low compared to men. However, we cannot force other people to bet on sports they don't like.

Everyone gambles on sports betting because they just love a particular sport, they don't just rely on luck but they analyze each side of the game and predict the potential winning rate of each game. So they definitely won't bet on random sports bets because they won't be interested in analyzing the winning potential of a sport they don't like.

Women's sports are not only less popular all over the world but also only few television channels stream women's sporting events due to their lower interest and you can notice that we don’t hear that much about their finals or even female world cup. Even though in the last couple years, we have seen a slight difference in media and events especially in football. I believe the most popular sports for women are athletics and volleyball. As for gambling, it's a different story, sportsbooks now offer bets on various sports categories and genders, as well as other events.
Personally, I don’t bet on women sports because I can’t follow it and to bet without any knowledge and based on luck only that’s a waste of money.

I can only speak for my personal experience and what I heard from my friends, we don't watch woman sports. My most watch sport types are football, basketball and CSGO. In all of these games there is a huge difference between male and female performance. Sometimes I check scores for big tournaments, but I would never watch a full female match in that category. All my friends have the same opinion, even during the football world cup for woman I didn't know anybody who was watching the full games. And the next step is that I would never be betting on games that I don't actively follow. There are enough games I watch where I can bet money on that I don't need to switch to female sports. If I don't watch the games myself than I don't have an advantage and there is no point on betting money.

Men sport is mostly watched. Gambling sites deals most with men sport. Some gamblers can not gamble in what they do not watch or know much about.
Exactly, some site also have no option for women’s sports or team, that’s why gambler are being forced to deal on what is available on that site. Though honestly, mens and women's team are just playing the same sports I just don’t know why they are still under the spotlight, the only sports for women that is more popular is Volleyball and the rest is just like a normal sports to many. Hopefully, they can get the good spot light as well as they are working hard for the love of sports too.
