Women's team are seems to be underrated and not being appreciated by many, and I also don't know why.
The only sports that I know women dominates it is the Volleyball especially in my country, the women's team are the most popular compare to the men's team.
I don't discriminate the women's team and I see a big opportunity with them then I'll place a bet, it's just that the betting for the men's team are more active compare to the women and its hard to change that fact especially in an online world where many are still in favor to the men's team.

Well, it's not that I hate it but I feel like I can't tell the stats of these women. Furthermore, I think people who do sports bet on AMA or boxing it's often discussed here but not on other sports or it's too rate to have it in here. Sports minded people who loves to gamble will totally pick the same gender compare to the other one.
I do not think it is more about picking the same gender, I think it is more about the ones that gambling sites are providing for gamblers. I think gambling site are providing the ones that most people are watching and although some underdog leagues are included but which are mostly men. Isn't it? What concern betting sites is to provide the ones that most people are watching because the matches that most people are watching are likely the ones that people will use to gamble most, which is what bookmakers will like, encouraging more people to gamble.

I do not know if this has been discussed before, but I want to know why most discussions on sports asides tennis is about the men's side of it and the women side is about only barely mentioned. Take football for example. Why is there low engagement in women sports from the side of viewers and even gamblers who are sports bettors? Is it not easier to win on gambling on women sports than men's sport? or is there no gambling site offering odds for betting on women sports?
I think an explanation for this is that most people bet on the sports they know and they watch on TV, however with the exception of a few selected sports very few TV channels actually air women sports, and if this is the case then how we can expect people to bet on those sports if they do not have the chance to actually watch them? After all even those people which are not professional sport bettors take pride on knowing their favorite sport inside out, but this is not possible if the only thing they can get access to are the statistics of the matches and not the matches themselves.

I don't bet on women's sports but I watch them compete.
But I also only watch women's sports a little because I don't really know who the players are.
I often see badminton matches where many young players are talented and can play well.
But I also don't bet on them because I still bet on football matches more often.
I don't know if every casino has a lot of betting on women's sports because if I'm watching in a casino and don't know who's playing, I'll miss it and I'll look for a team or player that I already know so it's not too difficult for me to analyze.

I think a lot of sportsbooks don't offer women's versions of the games due to less engagement from fans and people because games played by women aren't spectated or watched as much as men's versions of the game no matter what sport it is. Sportsbooks and casinos will always offer games that they know will have a lot of engagement and there is a very large audience that loves and watches that game around the globe which increases their profitability.

If we keep that thing aside and talk about personal opinion since some sportsbooks might be offering betting opportunities for women's sports as well, I personally feel that a women's team isn't as reliable as a men's team in any sport, the consistency and performances of men are on the better side compared to women, so even though I respect them and their abilities, I think I wouldn't take the risk.

To be honest in all my years of watching matches I believe I have only sat down to watch female matches just two to four times and I have no idea about their games so if a thread is eventually opened for them you’ll still get low response on the thread which will eventually make it be buried deep inside threads that will be created.

And if you check mega threads of football you’ll still see that no one talks about the game because they don’t know and most probably don’t like the game… unlike when men are playing you see tensions everywhere but for women not like. And remember that the more the number of people that are interested in a topic the better the discussion will be but if you have few numbers of people interested in it then you might as well not bother to create a thread for it.

The main reason is I don't watch that much women sports. I know women can excel in a lot of sports and are sometimes better than men when it comes to certain categories, but it just isn't my cup of tea. If it's something like motorsports then sure, I'll watch them race in blazing speeds across different tracks, but for your regular sports like football, basketball, and the likes? You'll be sure that I'm not one bit interested in something like that - even in Men's sports, too.

I think the reason why people don't really place bet on female sport is because people don't really watch female sport so they are not so sure which team is the strongest to win a game. Gambling is about predictions based on how much a teams ability is to win. Since people are not too sure about the female sport it won't good for people to place a about a game that is not sure if it will end win, so their is no need in spending money which can easily become lose at the end of the game. Male sport dominates and attract more attention,  it is easy for gamblers to bet.

Why things are getting gender-biased here?
I don't think we need to openly say this, but I gamble on women sports like their soccer games, cricket, hockey, and a few more. There is just one drawback, you don't know who will play how, so you need to watch a few games to understand that team's game before putting your money on the match because no bettor bets to lose their money, do they?

About discussion, I think most of us are men here and the percentage of women compared to men is less and they also don't seem to be participating in gambling discussions, so that could be the reason why we don't see any women sports related discussions here. Someone needs to spark it up to make it a fire, no?
We do live in a world on which there's always that fine line in speaking about things which a certain gender could do and whats not. We do see that female sports arent really that much interesting as a male person on which you would be always preferring on seeing to those men who do play which is more robust and not really that feminine on which you could really be able to say that interest is really that high comparing into those women athletes or matches. I dont know if there are men who do really love on betting on women sports or matches but im pretty sure that there are ones who do really
engaging with female tennis sports on which this is something that im aware of and the rest is just meh.

Well this do actually falls down on someones interest because not all would really be that just limiting themselves on similar gender kind of sport but rather they are really that
recognizing female sports too.

It doesnt have to determined by gender exactly more likely the population and size of the games.  A larger more mainstream game is far less volatile a result then the smaller type games, regardless of which league it might be.  Some people might go for the more changable outlier type games but the majority of bettors will stick to the mainstream big games.

Women's events weren't watched much. Even with the men's matches we weren't able to predict the outcome perfectly. The outcomes used to go away from what we had predicted. With women's match this will be even worse as we need to select odds on random manner or go with the suggestions or the lower odds. Already gambling is risky, and making bets on matches we don't have any more understanding is much riskier. This seems to be the reason why we weren't able to see much users spending on women's matches.

I do think that the sports industry is generally dominated by male players which makes it more desirable to bet against.

Not to be sexist or anything whatsoever, but there are only a few sports where women are involved. In sports betting, most of these gambling platforms focus on games that are already well-known to the public for everyone to participate and bet against. If they show a match between two (2) female players which are relatively new to the sports industry, this can be quite challenging for them to forecast their prediction.

Though this may be the case, I still hope that most gambling platforms allow sports-betting in the women sports section as this can stir everything up.

Hardly anyone watches the women's League or even women sports. I think that there is absolutely nothing wrong with betting on them but they are very hard to predict. You have to be very consistent with them to get your analysis right.

The best I do with women's sports is to have a good laugh because that to me is what you get most of the time during the game.

not to discriminate with women's sports, but most people are watching men's events. hence, they are more popular even here in the forum. i guess, it depends on the audience as well. and we can observe that most forum users are dominantly male users, that's just my opinion though.
and it seems that very few are interested with women athletes. or only few are outstanding with their respective sports.

It's quite obvious that people love to gamble on what they understand how it'll end. The analysis of women football can be poor and risky for any gambler to stake games. Just like the recent slapping competition. I have no other reason for not betting on women sports. Although I watch them play. But it seems like a joke to me, seeing 12: 0 in a football match. That alone has belittled the value I had for women football, if I had any. Women play well in games like basketball, but most gamblers don't wager money on their sports. As it's not certain what can be the outcome. Unlike in men's game, the player can be certain or sure of what could it be, even though they're not sure.  Most spectators don't view women sports, and only hear it on news. I'm not used to watching women play games. That's why it always escape or never crosses my mind to gamble on women sport. But, I see the interest of men growing about women sports. Yet it can't be compared to the gambling activities happening during the men's games. This could be the reason why it seems like no gambler plays or stake games on women games. Some players do put funds on women games, not me. I've not done that. If I follow the games of women and understand few strong teams; technique, moves, and idea. I can gamble on women football. With my spare cash. And also, forget about the funds, it'll just be for trying sake. The predictions from people who may not be aware of the team playing, can be a wrong choice of prediction. I rarely know the team in the game, and how they've been helping to entertain viewers.  I think the lesser attraction or popularity of women's games compared to man, is the main reason why people don't think of joining women games in their bank roll.

Perhaps in the short past, say... 20 years, that appreciation would be 99% true, but today I have seen bets even on dart throws.

Yes, there are world championships for anything "sports" and yes, women are there for you to place your bets.

Maybe it's your cultural environment and you don't see them, or! The trend is that I observed only male bets.

But! there are bets on women in sports. Now, for example, if you are in India, the predominant women's bets will be very different from those in my region, because, for example, in these parts they bet on women's soccer.

Now the percentages are very different between women's and men's sports, mainly because entertainment bettors, who are the most popular traffic in sports betting, bet on sports that they think they know, it is normal, and! Since football is the king sport in a large part of the world and the derivative of all its very well-publicized leagues, they take the large percentage cake of betting.

Examples; there is a thread dedicated to baseball, MLB on this board Gambling, I have published on it for three years and we did not reach page 5, and it may be that the bets of this ecosystem called bitcointalk are +1% (I include myself), but in the United States, betting on baseball is a trend and is in the top 5 in that country.

It is a popular men's sport for more than 300 million people, but in many places in the world they do not even know that it exists, so it is relative, but baseball is a great betting cake for many casinos, but as you can see starting with the forum is almost zero.

So, the region, the information about those sports, even the cultural and social aspect influence those perceptions and betting traffic. Finally, the variance in women's bets is greater than men's, in some sports, unlike in men's sports where that variance is less.

Is it not easier to win on gambling on women sports than men's sport? or is there no gambling site offering odds for betting on women sports?

Answers to all these questions you asked are not the reasons because they are subject to the real reason. There is a causative factor that made it less focused on. There are gambling sites and gamblers who gamble on it, there are media houses that cover their activities yet it will not be as population as the male counterparts.

Take football for example. Why is there low engagement in women sports from the side of viewers and even gamblers who are sports bettors?

Here, the real reason that male football is more watched, followed, engaged or advertised on is male football is the standard that has been placed in football. That is everything thing about the football comes from male football and the female football is a follow up. This means the male football is the standard to be looked upon. It is just like saying, the original version of female football is male football and when spectators look at female football, they don't see what they see in male football which is the standard looked upon. Therefore, it creates a lot of traffic interms of adverts because advertizers know they would regain their from sales. Sponsors know they will generate money from tickets.

It is a circle that creates money from different angles both for gamblers. Not many gamble on female football whilst not or advertizers decide to run adverts on female football or hugely on it because they know the spectators are usually not much compared to the male.

However, this is likely the situation of any male dominated sports and also for female dominated sports because there is the standard set for the games by the sex (man or female) who started it and created the precepts.

Just like I pointed out in my earlier reply,  betting on women games is one of the most bet that I choose most especially when I know that the time is late and most of the teams are tired since I know how active women are in scoring goals which make their matches hard to predict and one of the reasons why gamblers avoid those women leagues games,  but then truly women games are also popular in other sports games that the reasons why it not most discussed here and since we don't have a dedicated thread for that discussions,  ain't of us will simply not be active enough to mentioned women in our discussions here in the board.

But the also we have other platforms that we have topics that are dedicated to female leagues and most especially at the national level in my country.

Do you compare women & men sport?

How much revenue they bring? It's also one of the reason why people betting so much on men sport or men sport more excited game rather than a women sport. The game is just to boring and the skill kinda average.
I think you are missing the message the OP is conveying. The emphasis is on why gamblers don't play much of women sports in their selection... it is not of we do watch women sports or not. Besides, we don't watch most of the sports we gamble on.

Personally, I feel some women sports such as football is easier to predict especially on goals.
