I do not know if this has been discussed before, but I want to know why most discussions on sports asides tennis is about the men's side of it and the women side is about only barely mentioned. Take football for example. Why is there low engagement in women sports from the side of viewers and even gamblers who are sports bettors? Is it not easier to win on gambling on women sports than men's sport? or is there no gambling site offering odds for betting on women sports?

based on my experience, there is very little information that can be obtained on sports played by women, like a few months ago, when the women's football world cup took place I didn't make a bet, that's all because I got very little information from the teams playing, I prefer to bet on sports played by men, the information I get is a lot. just by typing what information I want to look for in a search engine about men's sports, there will be many references that appear, which are much different from information on women's sports.

In my personal opinion, women's sports betting on soccer and all other types of sports is not that challenging to watch and for me it is more exciting to watch men's soccer matches with kicks and ball control which are sometimes very rare to see unlike women soccer, which is sometimes boring and regarding whether it's easy or difficult to win, it doesn't mean that women's sports are easier to predict because surprises in sports can always happen, even in men's football.
I sometimes bet on women sports, but I rarely watch matches because I prefer to watch men football matches and the gambling sites that I know currently provide women's sports betting and popular sites here do.
One of the reasons why most people seem not to be interested in gambling on women's sports is the fact that women's sports are so unpredictable. Women's sports competition doesn't attract many gamblers to gamble on them because of how fragile their competitions are. It's more like getting involved in gambling activities that you have little knowledge off how it's gonna end instead of sticking with the ones you already know about

I think it is because men sport are more mainstream, more advertised around here and I general people in my country get more excited about them, which encourages me to watch the matches and even consider to bet on them.

During last World Cup in Qatar one could feel the excitement in the air and one could see people gathering in the squares and around TVs in public. It is not the same with the Women Word Cup, unfortunately.
I am not sure whether it is a cultural thing or the societies in charge of those sports do not have enough funding to further advertise their events as much as the male sports are.

Sports initially started  with male performance and more popular than female because of the fun and entertainment that comes with it. Of a  truth the male sports are more advertised than the female because of the attention it commands when games are ongoing. If you meet a  group of youth and ask them the preferred sexes in sports they would tell you male because of the  enthusiasm attached to male sports and the players too are well known to also command follower-ship to always watch their performance.

World cup always comes with excitement and joy because it is more of a sport festival and serves as a means to unify ethnics, tribes, religions, countries and continents together. This being so makes the male sport more entertaining, economical and rejuvenating.

It may also something to do with most women not being into sports, as fanatics. On one hand, there are women who complain on the lack of attention their female leagues get from the public, but at the same time women seem not to be interested in those leagues and sports.

Perhaps, in future generations of girls started to be educated and engaged in sports and understand the importance of it, then probably when they become women they would be excited to watch the Female football Cup.  It is something which feminist orgs could work on, instead of doing stuff which can be politically problematic in the eyes many, like protesting naked in the middle of a street.

I have come to realise that female do not really put interest in their fellow female activities much in n the sense that things of this nature does not excites them rather they prefer to go watch the male sports with their man and secondly, the female does not really give in to sports activities as they are not really given the attention when it comes to sports development back in the days. It is of recent the world started picking interest in n female sports to making sure they gain the recognition they deserve but still then people do not see it enticing going for female games as they are not interested in it.

Actually I don't gamble on woman games because I have little to no idea of what really happen in the women league, I haven't dedicated enough time to studying their league enough to possibly give predictions that will be good enough for me to profit from placing bets on them so I rather no bet on them because I don't have much idea on what it really looks like.

But then I'm sure if I pay attention to them I could probably get to understand them enough to be able to place a bet on them but then they are yet to get my interest enough as more attention is mostly Channeled to the male sport more often, even on gambling site you most often find the male sports than you would for the females and even with analysis they speak more about the male than they do with the female so we really find it difficult to get accurate predictions with the female league than we do when we bet on the male league.

The first is there are lack of engagements in women sports most especially In football. The women games in football that are mostly watched is the international games which are not frequent like the club games. In the club games you get to watch more. Also some of these clubs were created just three to four season ago like Manchester United and Real Madrid female team.

Your guess is since you’re certain that a particular club  will win, then there is no fun in that kind of betting. Also since there is a clear favorite the odds will very small and wouldn’t worth the risk. More os you as a man can only gamble on what you have vast knowledge about.

I watch our local women's volleyball here in our country and most of the sports in the casino are dominated by men because there are more male bettors than female so these casinos mostly cater to men.
There are many sports events, especially big events like the Olympics where women are participants and are well supported by all sectors.
The casinos do not discriminate against the other genders, but they take into consideration who is the majority on their platform, it's all about profit not about gender.

There are a few, but the main reason why not a lot of people gamble in women's sports is because we don't watch it enough to gain confidence in betting for one team over the other. Let's take the NBA for example. In the male's division we pretty much know who's the strongest player and who's lagging behind, we know each team's play style, their advantages against other teams, as well as their differences. We don't really know what's up with the WNBA on the other hand cause we don't watch it often. Not a lot of cable TV offers watching WNBA, stadiums are empty when they play, and a lot of these players are just downright unrecognizable that it doesn't bring money to the NBA federation and they are basically doing this WNBA thing so they don't get cancelled.

I see that everyone is writing that the reason is the greater popularity of men’s sports, and this is partly true, and maybe this is the main reason, but there is also such a reason as the greater randomness in women’s sports. This is even good for betters, but bookmakers take this into account and if I’m not mistaken, the bookmaker’s margin in women’s sports is slightly higher than in men’s sports, which means the better will be at a greater disadvantage if he bets on women’s sports. I have no evidence, but it feels like it (I compared bets in men's and women's tennis).

Women's team are seems to be underrated and not being appreciated by many, and I also don't know why.
The only sports that I know women dominates it is the Volleyball especially in my country, the women's team are the most popular compare to the men's team.
I don't discriminate the women's team and I see a big opportunity with them then I'll place a bet, it's just that the betting for the men's team are more active compare to the women and its hard to change that fact especially in an online world where many are still in favor to the men's team.
Really, I don't think so because the women's team in my country are the most rated even higher above their make counterparts and also those that shine more in this respect are the female super falconet who have won a lot of trophies.

So the underrating of women's game may be limited to a geographical location that place prohibition on women in some games and activities,  this is what the difference,  but then also in the international sporting ground,  women holds a lot of good position and their language also is as popular as the male games how women leagues both local and international leagues.

As others mentioned, mens sports are just way more popular. Way more hype behind them, easier to find teh matches, more info on them and so on. Games also feel way more exciting.
From sports bets tennis is what i almost exclusively bet on and i do it in both mens and womans side. Often i even prefer the female matches as they feel easier (cant think of a right word) to bet on.
Sports bettors stake their money on a game where they are confident with their predictions which is the reason why we see more games from men so clearly men dominate the industry but who knows over time if female sports become popular then they will also get the same attention as men sports. Probably this question arose due to the latest propaganda from feminists all over the internet saying we need equal pay, we need equal rights, and so on.
I dont really expect that much if we do speak about equality or having on the same level when it comes to relevance of men compared to women specially on sports on which it would really be truly that dominated but in these sense that we do have that women category then it doesnt mean that it was really that restricted. It do really just turn out that there are certain sports on which only men could really be able to do or something that would really be interesting to watch and this is why its not really that surprising that bettors would really be making out bets into those games which men are really those participants. Somehow there are really some bettors who do really consider on checking out with those sports which been played with some women yet they've been able to see that it is really that worth to place up some bets.

For myself then i wont really be that much considering those sports played by women. I dont know but i do find out that too boring on watching specially on sports of basketball on which it doesnt really fit out
or something that you do really want to see basing up on the movements that they are making.

First of all, what kind of question is this? I'm a little confused. One can come out and say, "why do you bet on male sports or why don't you". For me, I see no logic in this question.

But if you are really interested, I can point out some reasons. Firstly, female sports aren't as popular as male sports. Who watches them? Well, I don't. There is no fun. Secondly, I think women aren't that reliable for making a bet. I won't take that risk. But if it's mens sport, I'll have a clear conception about a player, how he may perform or how strong his opponent is. That's what I trust.

I'll pass on women's sports to be honest, even if it's not politically correct to say so. The only thing I've watched from time to time has been a bit of beach volleyball to see them in bikinis moving around and things like that. Women's sports don't attract the attention of viewers in anywhere near the same way that men's sports do, and if many are seen more nowadays it's because they follow political guidelines and are subsidised. For example, women's football is loss-making, and what clubs do with what they earn from men's football is to compensate for the losses in women's football.

With that background, there's no way I'm going to bet on women's sports because I'm not interested.

I really don't think that we should look at the women's sports in this prospective that the women's are playing to show off and not playing for the countries or people are only interested in watching the clothes of women playing the sports.

Women play football , women play cricket , womens are in the Olympics, I think in every game these days, we see woman team, the women matches, the women series so we don't and we can't deny the importance of the women's sports.

Yes I do agree that betting on women teams is difficult and the reason for this is that we do not know about the teams and women players and therefore it becomes hard to decide to which team or which player to bet on.

The skill level is not as high in women's sports as in men's. Aside from a few high level tournaments like the World Cup, most women's soccer matches will be very lopsided so the betting odds will not be to attractive. Women are biologically weaker than men so watching them in combat sports is boring because you rarely see dramatic knockouts. Tennis is one of the few women's sports that is compelling enough to consider wagering on because there is a deep enough talent pool to make it competitive.
