I think Dogecoin has done a lot of good as far as a community goes and introducing people to cryptocurrencys like it did to me.
But I dont think it will ever be a successful coin as far as its design or professionalism goes etc, it will always be around, but probably just as a tipping currency, charity etc. I dont see it getting any higher than 1 cent, but i think its safe to say that its here to stay!
Ive sold all the doge i had and will invest it in other currencies such as NXT, blackcoin, darkcoin, megacoin etc, these coins do have the prospect of reaching $1 or more, and darkcoin already has done so.

So i wouldnt go as far to say that dogecoin is bad, but it serves its purpose for what it was designed, and thats good for cryptocurrency as a whole, but dont expect to get rich from it, obviously you want to look at something that has alot of work gone into it.
Lots of coins do have a professional approach, but most are rebranded litecoin/bitcoin clones with no real design.

Im looking at coins where the developers have thought outside the square and redesigned things from the ground up, thats why NXT is so appealing to me even if people are complaining about the distribution.

I also think it's the community interest and coin popularity that's keeping it going.

I got involved in crypto due to dogecoin just 4 months ago after I read an article about it. I think is a good first coin, it is very cheap, quite fast and the community is helpful and friendly, was my first wallet.

Even if it is not meant to be a serious currency it serves quite well the purpose of spreading the word about crypto to outsiders, at least that is my experience.

I am a professional and I make more than 100k/year maybe there is an inverse correlation between intelligence and money, but I prefer to be dumb with a good quality of life than a broke smart ass  Roll Eyes.

its a clone coin with a dog meme attached to it, advertised by bag holders all over..  fact.
if that doesn't tell ya all you need to know something is wrong with you guys..

You can pretty much say that about any alt coin bitcoin, what's your point?

FTFY

Cheers!.

Not a very good fix, since Bitcoin was the first, therefore not a clone.

so what.. my points are bullet proof !

attracting irritating little brats to come into crypto and get involved with Doge so they can then run around the globe
on Non crypto sites acting like scammy idiots does not help Crypto sorry.. no matter how badly you guys want to twist reality.. is what it is is period.

want me to pick a half dozen non crypto sites and then go copy and past some vulgar and ridiculous examples ? there is many..
morons acting like idiots pushing a clone coin when there was already hundreds made and many often better
and their reactions of pure disgust in Bitcoin itself never mind the reaction to Doge itself..

People have ALWAYS stated publicly they thought Bitcoin was a Ponzi scheme.. Doge does not help this myth in any way !
Doge is a cancer on crypto and it's a useless CLONE coin that provides nothing tangible but a so called community that is more destructive than anything.
Doge does not help fight of this misconception about Bitcoin.. it makes it look worse and makes us ALL look like scammy assholes !

Doge is a pile of shit joke and i can't see how any normal rational logical thinking person could deny my assertions i have repeated endlessly.
bottom line is we have here shape shifting / name changing bag holders desperate to pump up popularity for any coin they hold.. spouting bag holders verbal diarrhea !

i critique coins fairly EVEN if i own them and i lose money ragging on them.. i have shot myself in the foot lots doing it ..but i sleep well at night
knowing i am not a manipulative delusional morally bankrupt sleazy bag holder desperate to sucker in fresh blood to a pyramid scheme,
and THAT is all these endless scrypt clones are.. they are the same damb thing copied and pasted with yet another gimmick attached..
and spare me the dunmb excuses for them.. there is not legit reason to keep making them and don't tell me your scrypt clone is better than another scrypt clone lol
Doge is no better than the half dozen color coin clones and actually all of those are more innovative and useful that Doge is.. or ever will be !

Doge coin.. a scrypt algo clone coin pyramid scheme wrapped in a doge meme Period.

and we don't need it.. check when it was posted.. we already had plenty of scrypt clones that came out before hand
and many had serious dev teams who worked hard and Doge under cuts all their hard work and all the support coders and supporters gave
so a scam coin could be pumped for greedy reasons.. there was no reason to make Doge coin, it served no useful purpose at all !
And when you screw over and then ignore the legit devs doing honest hard work coding to pump up a masked anon copy and paste cloner then your not helping Crypto.
All the fucking Nascar ad's won't change that.. reality is what it is .

--> ?
Why didn't you guys use Prime coin or Grid coin to get new users etc ? hmmmmm ?
oh wait i know...... you didn't show up at the right time to FLASH MINE those   ....ahhh i see now Wink
--> $

All you Doge fanboys show your true colors regularly.. you care about one thing and that is MONEY.

If i was an investor in the stock market i would choose a stock that i believe in and that had something to offer.
I would NOT buy Microsoft's stock because of their "community" only lol
So saying the Doge coin community is THE big main attraction is a joke ! ..it's pure speculator and bag holder propaganda pushing a USELESS coin bs.
It was started as a joke so how can i take it seriously ? and why should i ?
When all you guys care about nothing but how much money you make on it then it tells me all i need to know really.

Most of you admit regularly (the so called community) that you say it's a shitty scam coin but you got involved for the money..
and those people, your big "community", don't give shit about the coin at all and will dump on people and walk any time.
because they invested to pump and dump and make money period.

I am sick and tired of you guys bullshitting people to sucker them in to clone coin pyramid schemes.
It is is what it is.. come to terms with it Wink

and no, i have NO respect for people who hear about Doge then came here and did their research then decided YES i want too get involved with it.
the writing was on the wall and the facts were laid out for all to see, so if you got involved you knew better and should be ashamed of yourselves.
And i said that when Doge was released on the ANN topic too !

You people are hypocrits when you whine about scrypt clones.. but, but, but.. Doge coin is different.. uhhh .....no it's not, don't be dumb  Roll Eyes

I can respect guys who got involved to make money on it and that did not run around the net on non crypto sites saying it's the "Bitcoin killer".
The other guys i think are misleading or out right lying and spamming the general public for their own financial gain.

Quote
The coin is based on a meme, it can't attract intelligent professionals to it.

Don't take this to be anything personal.. But this coming from someone who runs a casino? What "intelligent professional" plays games with his money- Games that are rigged for him to lose a majority of the time? You profit off the unintelligent every day. You see- People don't need to be geniuses to make, and have money. Maybe we have a different understanding of "intelligent" and what role that plays in an economy. (Again, nothing personal, just making an observation, and perhaps a bit of commentary on the ridiculousness of the above quote).

If it attracts the 18-35 crowd- The "intelligent professionals" will quickly take notice. Hell, if it attracts people at first, and converts them all to BTC, and Doge dies.. just as well, right? Unless they are stupid (as in, pay literally zero attention to the risks, and bet more than they can), they've lost very little, and have a better understanding of what they are doing before making large BTC transactions

I just don't get why there's an argument happening at all. Doge has brought thousands of people to crypto, and will continue to. BTC owners should absolutely be thrilled about Dogecoin. Obviously, Doge could never be considered a "threat" to Bitcoin. They aren't after the same market. If you "invest" in Dogecoin- You're probably pretty stupid. It's not designed to inflate. It's designed to be spent- investing a significant amount of money hoping for inflation is silly. Doge will be lucky to ever hit a penny. Bitcoiners should praise Doge as an awesome, inexpensive way to get your feet wet in the digital currency world, and hope that those Dogecoiners eventually "graduate", if you will, and buy some Bitcoin.

If you are too "professional", or too "mature" to have a little fun on the internet (or in life, for that matter), while still pursuing your end goal.. Well, I feel bad for you.

edit: Things like Dark Wallet may bring those "intelligent professionals" to Bitcoin, et al. Darkmarkets,  Drugs, weapons, murder for hire- Now that's an image booster! The exact things that have sown such public mistrust, and skepticism to Bitcoin are now being promoted, and touted as victories. We're begging governments to view Bitcoin, and all digital currency as nothing more than drugs and money laundering.
