There is a particular point where popularity is related to where it all begun, specially if it become successful at the first place.to be honest bitcoin is not the real pioneer or the original digital curency because before bitcoin there were already an internet currency or payment medium that is built only for digital purposes. The one that im talking about is paypal , (if im not mistaken ) paypal is the oldest and first payment method that existed before credit cards ,debit cards , payoneer ,payza, cryptocurency , etc. However since the era of cryptocurency has begun , they are eventually replacing paypal and other types of payment method because cryptos is indeed more advanced when compared to them.
