Well compared to bitcoin, ethereum helps build decentralized application. This is the reason why a lot of altcoins uses this platform. It allows for them to personalize and is easy to use. Most of the ico projects are using this.
yeah much ico project release using eth for payment , and i dont know why they only want payment using eth. eth look like more popular than litecoin , even the prize higher eth than dash now
Yes, i've also heard about that nowadays much ico projects and startups use eth. But i still don't understand why. Maybe it is more safely, i mean cryptocurrency wallets.

However, there are other platforms such as Waves that can do the same things Ethereum does ( even easily as Waves does not require any programming skills). Etherium is the dad of smart contracts, as well as bitcoin is the father of all crypto-currencies. The etherium has in fact proven to be the best platform for ICO, despite their shortcomings. my reasoning for ethereums power is the similar as it is hosting majority of the icos at the moment. that indicates that technology behind eth is very strong to hold that. only thing I do not like is that gas prices are going higher and higher as eth keep on dominating icos.
Because ethereum has a good future. It is profitable and worth investing.
Why is etherum special? Etherum is the only altcoin that many know as the second best crypto currency out there. Etherum is showing its potential as how much it can grow in the coming future. It is said that Etherum will become very valuable in thw future like bitcoin is today. People have started to invest big amounts in etherum too. And also etherum is built on a diff technology from what i have heard so maybe that also helps etherum to be called as special.
In terms funding, ETH very rich. So it supports devs to innovate in it. And ETH is one altcoin supported by big country, of course this condition further strengthens its position as a promising and attractive altcoin.
Ethereum is one of the few that really matters. Bitcoin for example is nothing more than a database that needs too much computer and electric energy to create a new 1mb block!

Ethereum so special Because it is providing best opportunity for new ICOs by smart contract and best blockchain technology and good team working with very good and latest technology that is specialty of this coin.

My understanding is its because of smart contract application in block chain technology. There are opportunities to mine ETH with decent profit by using GPU mining rigs.However, there are other platforms such as Waves that can do the same things Ethereum does ( even easily as Waves does not require any programming skills). It may overtake bitcoin as i heard some opinions but its very hard to expect.
I see there are many courses to learn to become smart contract developers.

Ethereum is very special indeed . It’s not a regular alt coin because it’s have hundreds of uses. We see lots of platforms that’s based on ethereum. For that reason it will always be special and it will only get better.
