Whenever a government announces to regulate bitcoin or cryptocurrency or whenever BTC price is in downfall, most of the media start to warn everyone not purchase or invest in Bitcoins.

the media earn money with news that provoke panic or very enthusiastic, in short... the media make money publishing news that has a big impact.

Did you see when the bitcoin price was $18,000 what happened? all news channels were talking well of bitcoin, if today the news channels are talking bad bitcoin is because they need news that have some impact.

In my country when bitcoin was 18-20k all news channels were full of "bubble" talking, warning people it will burst and the price will go to 0. Actually there is one prominent financial "expert" claiming each and every time he can speak publicly on bitcoin, that bitcoin's real value (and I cite) "may be equal to 0".

Now, they are claiming they were right and that bitcoin will go down even more.

I think media just tries to put as much as possible hype into their headings/articles which isn't proper journalism but sells clicks and that is enough these days. I predict that we will soon see a turn to praising bitcoin again. After good news from USA (senate hearing) media already started putting some other positive stories as well.

I think the media just write what will be big news and will be the people's talk because by writing controversial news will make their news much read by people and that's where they get the money.

It remains a mystery tome why the media is hating on BTC. This is pure hate if you ask me. I just dont know what they stand to gain. Do they think the BTC is just going to go into thin air? Other stocks and investments drop and we do not hear anything about it but at the slightest drop in BTC price, there is news and stories everywhere in the media. And the funny thing, their stories are mostly false. From reading them, you just wonder why they hate the BTC so much. I still need to know what their plot is.

I think mostly because it is a new form of technology that most people do not understand. Also, the anonymity of cryptocurrency is conducive for illegal activities.

Whenever a government announces to regulate bitcoin or cryptocurrency or whenever BTC price is in downfall, most of the media start to warn everyone not purchase or invest in Bitcoins.

What is the reason for doing this? Do they intentionally do this so that even they can invest in Bitcoin and make some profit?

lately a lot of media expose negative things about bitcoin whether the news is real or just a trick of potential investors who want to buy at the lowest price then they do buy large amounts, but that would be negative or positive news it will have an impact on price movements , it's back to us to make the most of the opportunities and risks.

I think its not that they are saying that people should not invest on bitcoin it is more of a saying that bitcoin has its flaws and amidst its rising popularity there are stark negatives that people should be cautiousabout. I think they just want the people to be aware of this and not necessarily give all in to the cryptocurrency market because of a lot of the bolatility that even governments are shying away from

You must understand that the majority of the media is controlled by the same powers that control the western central banking system. Bitcoin being a finite, decentralized, transparent system is inherently against the current centralized private banking regime. As such, there are countless articles that cast negativity on Bitcoin, but fail to make any strong arguments. These articles are propaganda at best. It is crucial to read critically during these times.

This sounds like something i want to believe.
Do you have any facts for what you are saying?

I dont like the media in general, to me everything including crypto is sensationalised,
Pumped up for all to take as 100% fact. Maybe in the case if crypto the reporter or writer if various articles is not fully in tune with crypto or maybe the reports in general are intentionally misleading, i dont know.

I talked about this in a dow news thread on the press child board and the responses were not of the same thinking as mine.

I do not know what they are doing, on the other hand they hate bitcoin and feel threatened by bitcoin, they are afraid the national currency will be chewed by bitcoin, but on the other side they also invest in crypto world.

See how the Indonesian government, they forbid not to invest in crypto and not make it as a tool of transactions, but also keep shares in Ripple.

maybe they want to get us out of crypto, by spreading the negative news about bitcoin and crypto through the media, so they can dominate the market.

Just like any other 'trend', Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies aren't far from them. You must know from the beginning that half of the media is washed up. They are being paid to tell lies on both national TV and their own news websites. This isn't new. Listen, the people that's behind every media oultlets are the worse kind. They believe in only what they want to believe. Let them bash for now. But don't worry because in the near future, we are the ones who's going to laugh at them.

There had been a number of online scam which run away with investors money. Seeing the huge returns involved with Bitcoins, it also looks suspicious to many. As a result, media tries to make people aware about Bitcoins as well. Only thing is that they need to do more research before coming up with the news as it affects the prices.

Actually, Media only uses Headlines that can easily be sold. Wouldn't it be more sellable if you use a headline "Bitcoin a Scam" than to "The LN and whats the use of it." They tend to use negative news of bitcoin/Crypto because it generates more clicks for the readers.

Bitcoin is a limited, decentralized, transparent system inherently against the current centralized private banking regime. Thus, there are many articles that make negative on Bitcoin, Actually not a negative media about Bitcoin, it is the people behind the media, the people who pay the media spread negative news about it. There are people who want to control the price of Bitcoin by spreading FUD and fake news.

I think now the currency has not been recognized global government, it is scattered, so someone will think through the media to spread some bad news about the COINS to control the price of the currency, and to gain profit
The media is only controlled by some people, and the abominable thing is to hide behind the people who have been kicked behind the kick.

Media is the tool of big whales to control the market.
When they want to make people FUD and panic sell, they will use media to warn people.
Now is the time for whales to make people sell of so that you can see lots of bad news in media. Then big whales after cash-out can now ready to buy back.

I truly think this is all about manipulation of the prices and the global financial companies wanting to get their fingers in the pie. Let's not also forget the recent decision to allow futures trading on Bitcoin. The likes of CNBC are just mouthpieces for the likes of Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan etc and the information they give is designed to transfer money from the hopefull to the informed.

It is because media are influenced by government and politics. Some medias are controlled and payed by government to spread news about bitcoin - risks and negative impact that might  happen if bitcoin falls. Because media has wide range to influence people, government use media to spread negative news to brainwash people who wanted to invest in bitcoin and to people who already invested to bitcoin to have doubt about the capabilities of bitcoin to change someone's life.

Because it is made by people who dislike to bitcoin. So, the people always make trouble of it so as that users of bitcoin become afraid and worried, then through negative media, the value of bitcoin become lower than before. However, bitcoin is still uptrend in virtual currency.
