Games aren't as fun if there isn't money on the line.  The adrenaline rush you get is much stronger when some level of risk is involved.  Look at the big name athletes like Michael Jordan, John Daly, and Pete Rose.  They should of been content winning at their respective sports but they needed to fuel their gambling habits by betting millions of dollars.

Well you can involve money on those so you can say that it still depends on what should be done with those things. When you make a guess on games and you put your money or other things on the line so you can have a reward when you win, that is gambling. Doesn't mean it don't include or involve money, that is not gambling, there are still a lot of things that is valuable to be used in gambling.

Why not,because both can be same when it comes to gaming experience but the real difference is the money getting involved in gambling and you will lose money when you lose bets but in online games you will get so many lifes and you can restart the games.

I see that some people can control themselves in gambling especially if they cannot win the games and they can think to quit the gambling and leave the places. It is hard especially if you are getting lost much money which is not recommended to spend big money. We need to care about our money, and it is better to save that money for another thing. That is right, I don't even know why is these two being compared in this topic since online game will not be an alternative to gambling.

Gamblers will not just be changed that quickly to a gamer since being a gamer is not being done in a night, lot of years are needed in able to call yourself a gamer. And a gamer's life literally depends on games that he plays, without him playing games, I don't think he will be able to satisfy his needs with other things, that is my opinion though.

Yeah, it also really depends on a person who is playing it, being addicted to gambling is not good, but the gambling itself will not bad as long as the gamblers know how to control themselves from getting addicted. There is a big difference with playing online games and gambling, in online games, as a gamer by myself, we only play to earn something in that specific game, probably RANKS or IN-GAME CURRENCY, and when in gambling, we play to win money, to earn and gain profit out of that specific casino game, its a big difference.

Well, games, dices etc which does not involving money or betting is definitely not gamble and to be honest gambling online or physical even ones already losing money is not bad but the act of gambling out of budget is bad because the person already posed the sign of gambling addiction.

Different people have different opinion about it. To me I play gambling online and I do not consider it as waste of time. To me I consider it as entertainment. I think that It if you have a limit for your gambling then you can really enjoy playing gambling.

For me, it is not that exciting if the game does not have a bet, other people really like to takes risk after all even if they are already losing money. LOL. I don't get what you are saying. What are the money games? Games that adults can only afford? Games that is being paid? Games that is based on how much money the players has? That is confusing.

And why and how can you say that most children gamble free games? How did you say that? They are using free games to gamble? It is really confusing. If that is the real types of games, then the money based will be games that is usually being used of money like well, the obvious example of EA games, if you know what I mean. There are also games that is being paid at Steam so I guess that would count. Free games are always available in the internet and even players with a lot of money play them because it is not based on it is being paid or free, it depends on how you enjoy playing  that game but gamblers will never pick playing online games since their interest is not in the game but in the gambling or risking his money.

There are two types of games money based and free games, it depends upon the people who choose them games according to their interest.
