It's very simple to know why people are always interested trading in alts coins because people’s now can,t want to loss thire huge money trade with crypto but when trade in alts than little trade & little profit by chance some time if trade not shout and loss project than loss very low amount in alts trading section and also 80% people’s trade alts with USDT,BUSD like this types of stable coin first choice to trade.
Investing in crypto generally is risky and it's even risker when you put your money into altcoins, bitcoin is a lot safer because it's a community driven coin supported by many industry leaders and hence no CEO or what so ever, unlike other altcoins, So it's up to you to make the best decision, but if you are going to put your money in altcoins go for good and solid coins not shitcoins meant for pump and dump to avoid losing your money.

I don't own bitcoin because it's too expensive for me. For investment I bought some Altcoins with the capital I have. I bought a little eth. The reason is because eth is a stable coin so I don't really worry about getting losses. Moreover, if the price of bitcoin rises, eth will always follow it behind. but if we look at the market there are lots of people buying altcoins, and to be honest I also like to buy altcoins but there aren't many of them, and it's still my biggest investment in bitcoin. and to be honest even though investing in altcoins is risky but I always want to buy and the reason is because of the high pumping..

There are millions of altcoin in the market and most of them are dead or inactive. There are only a handful that are great for investing and as such you have to be very careful in making your decision. It's advisable to do your own research as nobody is in the best place to give a credible advise as it relates to cryptocurrency investment.
