In my opinion, they still buying bitcoin if we have extra money because we have positive thinking that one day bitcoin will give us good profit to make our lives better. Don’t you get it but the reason we are going to invest more is for our future. And I believe in that.
People buy bitcoin for two reasons - see this as an opportunity to earn and the opportunity to save capital in such an unstable and controlled financial system.
because they need it. we will not buy anything if we don't need it. so they buy bitcoin for an important reason. they might buy bitcoin to invest, or it could be to develop a project. that's why people always buy bitcoin.
I disagree if bitcoin is said to be useless. If you want to be patient and do not rush to act I'm sure bitcoin will find its true identity again and you will regret it.

Actually, the reasons why they keep on buying bitcoin is its a good investment which allow the investors to gain and make huge amount of income. In addition, once you invest and prefer to use in long term investment you can earn a very huge amount of income but once the price of bitcoin goes down you can probably earn low income or you will just hold it. maybe the strongest reason why they are still buying bitcoin is that they still believe that bitcoin is one way to invest that can provide huge profits so even though many negative news about bitcoin still does not affect them to invest in bitcoin
I think the purpose of people buying bitcoin is almost the same, namely to invest and make a profit, indeed bitcoin has a risk, but the big benefits make people tempted so they invest in bitcoin. So for the possibility there are other reasons why people buy bitcoin thin.

I understood why they wanted to invest in btc before, after the Chyprus crisis, and all the articles in the media. But now?
I don't get it.
Bitcoin is useless, and will most likely never be used as a currency. I spent hours trying to get my first bitcoins (satoshi actually), and after working for ages, I only got 0.002 btc, which does not even allow me to proceed to a transaction (the fees are higherthan that amount
). When you compare it with CC or paypal, it seems that they are free to use in comparison! Not to mention the time required to actually proceed to a transaction which can be anything between 1 minute and ... 1 year (or more?).
The only possible reason I see people are buying btc is that they (truly) believe that the price will increase, and want to make more profit. I think that 99.99 % of the bitcoins exchanged are never withdrawn from the exchangers, and the people are only waiting to make some profits. What makes them believe that the price will rise? Because the amount of bitcoins is limited? Because lost coins can never be recovered? I have no clue.
An other problem is the "mining" part. Soon, the difficulty will increase, CPU and GPU mining will be useless. People will stop mining bitcoins and try LTC or something easy to get... The interest in btc will decrease.
Other issues:
- security. Not a single company was able to provide a "professional" service. Bitcoin-24 has a serious problem ( https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-24com-matching-engine-seems-broken-site-down-174600 ). Even mtgox was critized for the lags, problems with missing coins, money, delay, and so on ... The hacks are countless (you can see new topics about that every day ...).
I can't see anything positive about btc, and still can't get why people are buying it. Can any captain obvious explains? Thanks.
You cannot really blame them for believing still on bitcoin knowing that it has a history of a large comeback after a deep downfall. There are still a lot of people buying bitcoin because they consider it as an opportunity to make a lot of money if ever the value of it rises again. They still believe that there's a possibility amidst the continuous crisis going on. To me, it seems pretty strange that people actually continues buying btc now...

people are still buying BTC because they believe in bright future of it,it will have benefits in our daily life . they believe bitcoin can increase and they can become rich with bitcoin in future
No doubt that the future of crypto will be bright, many countries have legalized and made regulations about bitcoin like Japan, Germany and so on, this proves that the future of bitcoin will continue to improve and soon legalized by many countries.
Yes it will really happen in the future and that is the reason why banks are really scared of cryptocurrency now a days because it was keep on growing in different countries.
