I think why people attract bitcoin than other crypto currencies is simply because bitcoin is the pioneer of all crypto currencies. It is more popular and price is really expensive compared to other crypto currencies. And bitcoin is the only crypto currency that we may able to convert into fiat currency. That's my thought.

Simply because Bitcoin's value is much bigger than others, people always aiming for a much bigger profit so they can earn big and enough.
That is one of the reason, bitcoin has the biggest marketcap and dominance so it's most likely what will be notice. Altcoins are not that popular because they are created after bitcoin, that is why it was name as alternative coin since bitcoin was first in the crypto world.

besides that, if people trying to buy bitcoin and hold it for a while, they can sell at the high price and this is the reason for them which is they can make a lot of profit. imagine if we can buy bitcoin at $7k and we have patient to wait the price increase and finally the price increase at $10k in just 2 months, we can reach $3k for the profit and this is a big money for them. people still trying to buy bitcoin at the lower price and they can wait until the price is up higher than the price they bought.

Remember every product in market have its own stranded like you can see stranded of apple in market which is more favorite to people as compare to andriod as there are also high demand of android but all those who have able to get apple they are getting apple in place of android. Just like that bitcoin have also his own stranded in market as their price is high and volatility quality is also high due to like these reasons people are taking interest in bitcoin more as compare to other crypto currency.

Well mainly because bitcoin is more popular than otger cryptocurrencies I think. and the current price boom last 2017 might be a reason for people to be attracted to invest on bitcoins because they would think that bitcoin is very profitable unlike ither cryptocurrencies. other than that I think because before you invest on other cryptocurrencies you first have to buy bitcoins.
