Hi there amaljinadasa! The basic answer for most is the that they want to be part of the technology, they want to be in trend. To others, they found bitcoin and other crypto could give them extra bucks of income. Other found it a huge deal and could generate income enough to sustain their daily living and needs. Just like me, I use the income in my investment to pay for bills like the internet fee. Wink

People really tend to use bitcoin than other currencies. I guess this is all because it is the pioneering crypto currency. People prefer this as the most trusted virtual coins. That could be the reason or one of the factor it say so. Aside from that some could be used to it or almost know how to manipulate it than other currencies, which made them stay on bitcoin.

Sometimes people will just invest because of the hype in the market even if they did not know anything about the current coin they are interested so they might end up on losing profit. I think that the latest upward trend of bitcoin is more to do with greed than anything else people have seen the rise in value and hope that they can see the same increase in years to come. Bitcoin is what they hear first and if they are going to invest in any other crypto currencies they normally need to have btc to buy alts from exchanges.
Unfortunately currency wise people are not really spending crypto currencies or when they are it is more so selling on exchanges for fiat.
