We are led to believe that almost all governments are corrupt and that most officials and even leaders of the world are bought.

We saw this for instance with the US elections where rumours are doing the rounds that massive amounts of money were channelled from foreign countries to influence the outcome of the election. This money had to be laundered through shell companies via Banks and complex money laundering systems.

All of this leaves paper trails and this can later be followed and investigated to find the true origin of this money.

Now think about this, why would "corrupt" governments want to appose Bitcoin and Crypto currencies, if they can use it to hide their "corrupt" practices? Would it not make sense just to allow it and then use it to further their political aspirations?

The push back from these corrupt governments does not make any sense. Could it be that they know that Bitcoin and Crypto currencies are not "anonymous" at all and that these transactions can be traced and for this reason they are apposed to it?

Curious to know what you are thinking.  Wink

In my opinion, little is known about the government's ability to control it, so it's only a matter of knowing or analyzing it to warn its people. As for corruption, I think only a small amount of meaning, I agree with you that it is much safer than other things.

Governments around the world are either actively working on some form of digital currency or exploring the topic.Governments have very different priorities, and decentralization a main feature of most cryptocurrenices including bitcoin doesn't tend to be one of them. In fact, government digital currencies could herald a new era of centralization, posing serious questions about privacy and the viability of true cryptocurrencies like bitcoin.

Well, nothing can be considered as fixed and not to be so pessimistic. Govt. can accept the crypto as a step of acquiring the global coin, not only to carry on their illegal activities. Also, it might affect the national market, but it will push the individuals to progress such will eventually be beneficial for the country.
because for me this is good for the government because this is a solution if virtual money is not available or crypto is gone this is the solution that I think so come on we as bitcoin users support this kind of hope hopefully it will be implemented in your country

Governments are not easy to accept. However, it is not difficult to apply them to their own legal regulations. They can take advantage of the crypto world if they can adapt to their legal regulations.

I think that Bitcoin is currently a hindrance for the government. I see no reason why the government needs a cryptocurrency? It's transparent, all transactions are recorded and it can force out fiat money.

I believe that the government will not accept cryptocurrency for a long time. But if we consider the fact that a cryptocurrency can save us from the percentage deducted to third parties, then it is beneficial for all. Both for legal entities and individuals. But it is not beneficial to banks. Therefore, the question of benefits for the government.

Also, the government is dissatisfied with the fact that it does not receive taxes from transactions that are perfect with the help of cryptocurrencies. However, cryptocurrencies make it possible to keep information about their income, in secret from persons who do not have the right to receive this information.

If the government accepts cryptocurrencies, then people will no longer be held hostage. People will start to earn only themselves. I think the government will not do this. Then the state income from commercial enterprises will disappear. Or, if the government accepts cryptocurrencies, it will make the same systems as now (banks, interest, taxes, and so on).

if it is indeed possible to cooperate it is for mutually beneficial cooperation if indeed the positive side of cryptocurrency can be used in the positive side of the financial system in the government and can cover the shortcomings of the economic system within the government

I don't think that's the reason. First of all, not many governments explicitly oppose cryptocurrencies. The world is becoming more and more crypto friendly with time, as we hear about plans of states to create their own cryptos. Second of all, official opposition to cryptocurrencies can be used to lead people to believing that the govs want everything to be traceable and transparent, but nobody can forbid officials to use cryptos at the same time. Kind of like Kim Jong Un loving Disneyland as a kid, but yet forbidding everyone else to be there.

I think you look at it the other way round, they can't corrupt when blockchain is involve. The blockchain will record everything from where the money is and where it goes, that's when they can't corrupt. but that is not exactly why the government oppose cryptocurrencies. The government isn't run by the people but run by few individuals like the Rothschild who runs banking system and money system in the world. With blockchain, these guys can't control anything, they'd be less powerful.

Bitcoin transactions are much more transparent and considering the fact. Government is not against crypto if they can regulate it. The government should accept crypto for the security of transactions and other stuffs.

Governments have signaled their forthcoming plans and plan to legislate and regulate crypto money around the world, and it seems that the largest financial and banking institutions are waiting for the decisions. Clearer before they continue to plan to enter the market. Việc hợp pháp crypto, overcome the corruption that banks suffer, help invest users peace of mind with the money invested.

Thats an intersting theory you have there. Afterall Cryptocurrency is not fully annonymous. The transaction records are stored via blockchain technology and can be traced back to its source even if its the Govrnment.

Cryptocurrency is gaining recognition as a form of currency worldwide and if the government gets on board it will be beneficial to both the people and the country. But, as there are benefits to it there are a lot of things to consider so we can only tell what'll happen with time.

The transactions of cryptocurrencies are way more transparent and every transaction is being recorded on the blockchain and it is open for everyone to see. So, transaction of fiat money thorugh the conventional way is far more safe to a corrupt government. Besides, the government does not want to accept cryptocurrency because of its decentralized system and unstability of price.

Governments do not have to approve bitcoin or the blockchain technology in their states if they intend to use it for illegal activities.
They can easily run foreign accounts

The push back from majority of developing countries could be down to the leaders not being pro active. And refusing to change with the times.
