As all others investments ICO is risky. Most people invest in ICO because they believe in project and it´s product. Most coins dropping just in last week, take a look before, it was huge grow. If you take a look of statistics - almost all coins are more expensive than they were sold during ICO. If you don´t ready to risk - than bank deposit is safe decision.
98% of icos do not beat btc returns. so you have to be really selective and pick the right ones. Core of every crypto portfolio should be the major coins, especially btc

Because there is money in altcoins r ico , just simple as that. And many of the community here became rich in the ico by simply investing unto it or participating to their bounty campaign where you will be given a reward once you comply their task weekly requirements. Yes I have seen many people earning from bounty campaigns. On an average how much one can earn from a bounty campaign?

Some wants to make quick return some for investing for long term. They can foresee the price and expectations without fluctuations on the market.

How you think that ICOs are not a risky option. I think you does not understand completely about the ICO projects and token sale. When there is any project implemented first here in the forum they create their announcement thread and make it familiar to all the people.
When they create their thread, it contains the white paper and website link in the same thread. That white paper will have complete details like what is the purpose of this project, how you can use it and development team and CEO information.
crypto money is always a risk. ico this is the least risk. so choosing ico is the most logical method. ico just wants time and patience. people can win in this way.
To me personally, i think trading altcoins is riskier than investing in ICOs. Now the ICO has to be a genuine project/ICO with a concept that can solve human problems and also with a great team.

Yes,it will as long as the crypto currency are in the practice.Any one can create new tokens if they want and it also a profitable business nowadays so no one is going to stop creating their tokens unless no more crypto currency used by people.
