I do buy different coins either for trading or because I have a real need of. It can be to make a quick and cheap transaction because I need to deal fast can use Ripple, LTC, or if I need to make a transaction with full privacy so I am going to use Horizen or use a mixer.
In the end, I use cryptocurrencies for the same reason I use EUR currency daily.
