Because I hope that the price will continue to rise, it's been more than 6 months I never sell bitcoin, this is because I'm optimistic that bitcoin prices will continue to rise and proven, now I can get big profits for patience keep and more later.
one of the most common reasons why many people do not immediately sell their bitcoin is because they wait for a higher price than today and it is the most appropriate choice these days. because the price will definitely go up and you'll be disappointed if you sell your bitcoin right now
Thats true until it isnt. If everyone holds and does nothing then bitcoin stops being useful, its just built on a collective 'I hope it will'. Theres no money in hope alone, it needs effort, work, ideas and initiative of real business.
That is the main draw back to bitcoin, the wallet doesn't do anything except hold a receipt. The proof of stake coins put the wallet into work by confirming transactions and it seems to do this at far less cost and with greater efficiency I imagine they might more likely succeed. Greater participation by a population in a business even if its as basic as transaction confirmation is a positive I think.
Thing is holding doesnt do anything, its an economy or it isnt. I would estimate no worth if it becomes about holding more then using. I put the bits into bits of gold largely under the reasoning if one rises in price, or bubbles then the other will too at some point in future as they are both finance related I think. So I sold out and I didnt, as I dont really believe in Dollars, Euro, Yen or Sterling especially.
I figure the way to go to avoid this apprehension of holding or fear of losing future gains, make it about a trade. So all I could think of mostly is the gold but it could be anything useful or with future use, anyone in a business can justify it or selling btc to pay off mortgage and avoid future interest is justifiable whatever the price.
One guy famously sold his dads house after he inherited it, spare I guess and the price at the time was like $800 I think so he is doing well. I dont agree he should never sell, it varies by the person what is most useful to them, only spare capital should be held in bitcoin partially.
