I saw a video on my social media there's a restaurant that using AI and almost 100% automated, I thought it's a new video, but actually it has been around for six months.

If this trend keep continue, what the world would be? many people will become unemployed and not all people can become engineers. Middle class people will become poor as they don't get decent jobs, will we see a big revolution that the poor to clash against the rich?

I'm not sure if this happen in your country or not, but in my country most companies don't want to make their employees become permanent workers anymore, they only want contract workers because the companies don't have to give compensation to fired contract workers.

I understand that permanent workers are just a "myth", but if the companies suffer bad financial and want to reduce the employees, they would fire the contract workers first, so permanent workers are safer.

There's no doubt that AI is making progress, but it seems that the media hypes it up and thinks that it will achieve a lot in a short span of time. It is happening incrementally and it may get faster to develop tech in future, but it still feels like we are decades out from losing a lot of the more manual jobs that currently exist. Even then, you may find that there are still plenty of service type jobs out there because people want to interact and not rely on robotics for everything. In fact we might see more people falling into service type jobs in future as more office type rolls are automated. All this is happening rather slowly, because while the tech companies might be making massive breakthroughs, the implementation is much slower to happen in the real world.
It would really be happening on gradual basis but its true that this kind of change or integration is something that will really be that inevitable on which technology is really that getting advanced as the years passing by
and there would really be those changes that will really be making things more convenient and comfortable to make use of on which the example is on this AI development on which it would really be having that
huge benefits or something that will really be making life even more faster and efficient but we know that in everything which considers to be good, then there would really be always that disadvantageous side on which it would really be that understandable. There would really be those jobs that would really be getting replaced by robots or in fully automation specially on some industries on which it would really be that a bad news for those people who do work into those industries.

This is why if you've seen yourself that you are on an industry on which you have seen that it could be potentially be replaced anytime soon because of this advancement, then it would really be just that wise
that you should really be finding some alternatives or back up plans just in case if things gotten worst. It would really be just that depending or basing up on how you would really be acting
according into such situation.

AI may undoubtedly replace our jobs in the future but there are still some certain jobs that are irreplaceable by AI particularly those social work jobs, performing arts and even those musicians and real life judges as they can never be taken advantage by AI. However, if in the future AI will be able to perform our own jobs, thus losing our own jobs but rest assured there will also be some opening jobs for other sectors which still create new opportunities for us jobless.

It can never be deny that nowadays, AI is starting to replace some human jobs, and whether we like it or not, AI will continue to develop and become more advanced, thus losing more jobs for humans but giving more job opportunities for AI.

While this can be a threat in the near future, but it can somehow serves as a challenge to all workers to become more focused and resilient in doing their jobs. That way, employers will find no courage to replace these people with AI, even though we all know not all human jobs are replaceable by AI.

Should not people just need to adopt to the situation when AI replace them in a comfort office or remote jobs? As far as I see it, AI replace mostly IT sector. But there are always jobs that require hand work. Just a quick example from my experience. Every time had to sign for car maintenance, there is a 1-2 weeks queue. For me it looks like this sector lacks of professionals or workers. This is just a quick example, and I am sure anyone could name a bunch of other examples, when they have to wait for service for some time. So why not those who get replaced by AI, move to those jobs?

Excessive fear can prevent someone from developing and it is influenced by uncertainty or someone's inability to keep up with the times. This world is increasingly developing with the sophistication created by humans and if we cannot adapt well, it will be difficult to keep up with the development process of the times. Unemployment is something that is feared for people who are not in developing countries, but for those who live in developed countries, work can be done using only a cellphone and just sitting at home.

Poverty is a mindset and it will not end if they do not try to improve their skills. Remember one thing that in seeking financial freedom the concept is perseverance, independence and daring to take risks. If these three are consistently carried out, I am sure people can definitely get out of poverty even if they do not become richer.
It is absolutely true that everything comes back to oneself to be able to adjust and also adapt to current developments so that many things must be learned as is needed in an advanced era like today, and it is true that there is no need to be afraid of this because if we If we want to try then we can get whatever we want.

Poverty is quite difficult to explain, sometimes there are people who find it difficult to get out of this situation, even though we can eliminate a large percentage of poverty if we really try hard.

Being afraid of something like this doesn't make sense to me, it just doesn't feel like we are fearing something realistic. I understand that we are looking at something that will take some time, but we are also talking about something that is not really that fearful yet neither.

We are basically fearing what it can do in the future, we are not fearing what it does right now, and that is the traditional definition of anxiety. I do not feel like anxiety makes sense, because we are talking about something that will be very hard to do, it is going to do something harder to achieve. So all in all we could just see what we can do, and for that reason I believe that we shouldn't be worried for something that hasn't happened yet.
well by the time it happened people probably already losing jobs so i think its not anxiety but people starting to wake up.
with AI development that's so rapid it literally can replace massive amount of people in their job, it needs a system that could contain its growth, a system that will act as an intermediary to bridge the use of AI and also retaining human capability to make money through jobs.

I think if people started to know that AI could be threatening to their livelihood, it's a good start, nothing wrong about trying to prevent disaster.

As AI becomes smarter and more intelligent and knowledgeable, it doesn't matter whether you reskill or upskill, as long as any AI can do that same job much faster and cheaper, these employers will definitely opt for it. Except there's a major law put in place to limit how much work AI should be permissioned to do, that's the only way we can still get to have jobs. At a time, even Elon musk signed a petition for AI capabilities to be throttled and limited. If left unchecked, I can assure you that any and all  computer-based jobs will be taken off the table by AI.

AI will go as far as the government allows it. With restrictions in place, it won't be able to take over the world. But if the plan is to empower corporations, then I can say we're nothing but doomed. AI will replace nearly every job performed by humans today. Individuals will be affected by this, except for businesses and/or corporations.

If AI continues to advance, it could become a threat to humanity like Terminator's Skynet. How long will it take for AI to mature, is an excellent question. I certainly wouldn't want to live in a world dominated by AI. Would you? Sad

AI is already taking millions of jobs, and even if the technology did not advanced any further, businesses will find a way to tweak it so it becomes even more powerful and it can take even more jobs, so I do not think we are exaggerating at all when we say that AI is a threat that can take hundreds of millions of jobs away, and even if all those people could find new jobs, something I doubt, it is obvious the majority will have to settle for way less money than what they are making right now.

Could you name some examples of jobs that were taken by AI? I have heard many times that AI are taking jobs, but nobody that I know and none of their friends were fired due to replaced by AI. If millions have lost their jobs, that would be a worldwide, but I personally dont notice much of unemployed. Such professions supposed to be from IT sector probably, but I havent heard that any complaints from IT. Anyway, it is obvious that progress is decreasing number of man labor, and replace everything with modern technology. I am not surprised that AI is replacing humans, but I am sure that humans will find work anyway. Anyway, people should not plan to work on one job for their entire life.

Everyone is disposable, no matter how important anyone thinks they or anyone else is to a company; that, coupled with (mainly public) companies' laser focus on the bottom line leaves me with no doubt that if an employee that needs vacation days, sick time, bonuses, or even a friggin' lunch break and can be replaced by AI, they will be.

I don't know if AI is going to make corporations run better, but if it eventually displaces enough workers, those people are still going to have to eat.  That could lead to anything from an increase in crime to a massive increase in taxes (hopefully imposed on the corporations themselves) to subsidize assistance programs.  At this point, it's all just guesswork.  Fifty of us can predict 51 different outcomes, and it'll be the 52nd that actually happens.

Nevertheless, fuck AI.

I saw the video and those are crazy but if you know this trend gonna be continue like that and if you ask Will AI taking people jobs and make the world worse? the answer based on my opinion is yes maybe some people would say AI can create new job but I don't really get it.

If the trend continue we are gonna be doomed, If you look at any manufacturer they already use robot hand if you know some supermarket and restaurant start adopt AI like in your video to do simple job and cashier I don't know what next but AI is crazy good and scary at the same time
We do know that changes or innovation is something that cant really be stopped if we do speak or talk about progression. There's no such thing about having no change or simply its an inevitable thing on which we do know
that changes would be made. AI integration isnt something that could put up on that state. Yes, it could affect some workers but doesnt mean that it wont really be that beneficial. There are really just those things
on which this is something that cant really be stopped considering that employers or companies would really be definitely be switching up on something on which they do saw that it could really be that beneficial and something that would really be that efficient into their business. This is why as a worker  then you shouldnt really be seeing this as a bad thing but if you do saw that you could potentially be replaced up on your work
then it would be that better that you should really be that readying up yourself at least if it would happen, but for now on which its still not happening then better not mind that much or you shouldnt really be that
stressing yourself because it would really be just that giving off that negative vibe. The key on here is that you should really be that gotten prepared for whatever things do comes.

Before we consider the downsides of automated systems using AI, I believe the benefits can be passed on to the consumers such as consistency in products which is something difficult to get with human's  Roll Eyes, labour costs will be cut meaning products and services get to become cheaper for the end user, less to zero Chitchatting, you don't get to see the employee that gets on your nerves, no strikes etcetera and looking at the benefits AI brings to the to table, clearly the benefits outweigh the cons and I don't see why we should fight this technology as it has been something we have expected to happen for several decades now and we are the ones that need to adapt with change!!!

AI is hype, no doubt about that, they were cooked for everyone and crypto hype give them the audience they needed. If not that we are just trying to push a niche by all means, we have some robotic engineering that has been available for a while and because of the fear of them been going wild, they are been restricted, there are limitations t how you can explore them, this is why you see robots been commercially allow to use in the public places.

In 2015 or thereabout, I watch some videos saying by 2024, we will start seeing cars that will start flying and things like that but today, it seems that we are all taken away by the new invention of social media like TikTok where people will rather do challenges to music and movies. We are going to see a growth in AI but definitely not the way people are discussing it, the majority of it are even in beta mode, not fully functional and accurate.

Will AI taking people jobs and make the world worse?
Common and interesting questions, the answers are below.
Quote
The short answer to this fear is: No, AI will not take over the world, at least not as depicted in the movies.

If you see a film, of course you are worried about Al's arrival, but that's not the case if you see in real life, Al can't make food, can't make coffee, can't cook and so on.
AI cannot replace all human work, AI is dependent on technology that has been designed, for this reason the risk of using AI in all fields is clearly not possible, only high-tech companies, for the rest humans are the main thing.

So don't worry, technology can't do anything without humans, just 10 days the electricity and internet will go down, humans can't still do it manually, imagine if 1 day the electricity and internet went out, Al wouldn't function at all.

I can see AI fixing cars where the future cars are more about electric motors and far more simple in their basic makeup.   Many mourn the loss of the combustion engine but in terms of durability and ease of diagnosis it probably will favor computers in this respect.

The thing that frightens people is not what AI can do but its growth, for decades now AI has been able to beat the greatest human at chess its not new.   AI has great accomplishments but its failed to progress from set programs, the difference now will be its natural expansion to less theoretically rigid staid usage.

If AI can help people decipher a manual or error code it might finally be useful in everyday practise and that is quite revolutionary I suppose.  I do think its mostly about removing the mundane and routine tasks, this all helps people and society overall.

I don’t think that AI will start taking away jobs from specialists and workers in different spheres of life. For now, AI is a crude product and the only thing it’s good at is drawing anime pictures. Pictures where AI is trying to draw reality look dubious, to put it mildly.

Also, the AI cannot come up with even a simple logo.  Proof of this is that logo competitions are held on the forum, it turns out that even such a simple matter no one trusts AI.

Definitely not. While I was a CS student, AI was one of the courses I took and can confirm that it is currently on track to replace humans in the near future. Since that ChatGPT announcement by openAI in November 2022, I know we were in for some trouble. Your point about AI only going as far as it is allowed by government os correct but only if it is done before AI reaches the singularity stage. Fingers crossed that it doesn't get too late before it is put to a halt. I'm a fan of AI and love how it simplifies our tasks and make productivity a whole lot easier but I'm not a fan5of the fact that many hardworking citizens won't have any more work  to do except hard core manual jobs.

Practicality and time efficiency are what everyone wants. And AI is here to answer these problems, and this applies to every aspect of life. The presence of AI can increase accuracy in analyzing data, the presence of AI can provide personalized recommendations, and the presence of AI can help in completing routine tasks. With all the benefits presented by AI, of course this can help reduce the time to complete certain tasks and increase productivity. This is something that most humans have been waiting for for a long time.

However, behind it all, AI has a negative side that many people do not expect, where the presence of AI can shift people from certain jobs. But despite this, humans will never lose their jobs. As long as he continues to think and try to survive and make money, continues to hone and improve his abilities and skills, then that person will never lose his job. Only lazy people will be replaced by AI and lose their jobs.
Correct. The presence of AI technology has been eagerly awaited by some people because AI technology will make work easier and save costs, especially for jobs that are difficult to do by humans or if done by humans are inefficient. But once again, every time there is a new technological development there are definitely negative and positive sides as you said. However, we can overcome all of this if we start to make peace with this development and start to adapt.

Because technological developments certainly cannot be denied, but we must balance them and of course there must also be regulations from the government so that AI technology is not misused or can harm many people. The point is that AI technology should help humans, not replace humans.
