Yes for sure in the future. But, I think it will take a long long time before this can be offered to its client, especially that most of the people nowadays prefer paper money transactions. And, it will also depends on the technology that they will use as well.

You don’t need a bank to store Bitcoins. With Bitcoin, YOU are your own bank.

YOU have to take all the precautions to protect your funds (backup and password protection and safety).

You could use a bank to store your offline wallet passphrase, though.

Currently no banks accept Bitcoins in its form. They trade/transact in government backed fiat currencies only.
Although Bitcoin is a legal payment tender in some countries. Your traditional banks do not directly deal with Bitcoin. There might be some intermediary who convert Bitcoin to local currency and vice versa.
Secondly Bitcoins is against the concept of centralised authority in charge of your money. If you need a bank to park your money, you do not need Bitcoin.

I think the banks and other big companies have their plan about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. You know the banks always being clever and they always earn from us. So it would be stupid that we haven't think their plans about it. They have not one, i think they have many project that which is waiting for the right day about the cryptos..

We all know how risky bitcoin is. Let's imagine the most riskiest money deposit situation.
What do you think guys, will this moment ever come and banks decide to offer us Bitcoin deposits (e.g. fixed profit on 1 year deposit and etc).
This can be very, very profitable for banks if they make correct decisions.
P.S I don't mean freebitco.in's offer of holds on their wallet. I mean if official banks ever offer us this service.

I would argue depositing funds in a bank is even riskier. Why have everyone's private key stored centrally? Also Freebitco.ins 4% interest rate offer is very interesting, but seems a little Ponzi-ish to me. I really don't know too much about their site.
That site is actually a ponzi type to me they must have deposited the bitcoin of the users in some other places and now they are giving the profit to its depositors but the fact is they might indeed run away with our coins and indirect money and no one will be even able to stop them, if their investment fails our money will be vanished, the chances are pretty low but yeah things like that can actually happen.

Depositing your Btc with banks will mean a huge profits to the banks and I really don't know which business person will reject this offer. I think gradually, thinGS like this will start happening but the fact is; how many of us will choose to deposit his Btc with banks, knowing very well he will be offer less as compared with hodling in your own wallet.

Maybe one day banks will realize the big potential and profit that the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency offers, its just a matter of time before majority of them may join the trend so lets hope so.

Every business needs to adapt to changes and challenges like this. Im pretty sure banks are already finding ways to join the bandwagon.they will surely profit from it. It would just be a matter of time until they accept bitcoin deposit and withdrawals.
Every business needs to adapt to changes and eventually they do adapt to changes but for something like bitcoin it will be pretty hard cause its not only the bank who is needed to adapt to the situation it is the govt and also the economic situation of the country will be in stake, although it is achievable but only when the country it is to be enacted decides to centralize bitcoin and other crypto currency.

I love depositing my fiat to the banks and they are making money with it but if its bitcoin. I don't think I would avail this service but there's a possibility that it will come and they will be targeting those bitcoin investors/holders that doesn't really understand on what bitcoin is, being your own bank. They might attract those type investors by saying that their bitcoins will be safe on their hands. We know on how the banks are doing well in making money.
I too love depositing my hard cash in bank and enjoy the interest over it but if bitcoin deposits starts I don’t think I will be excited enough to invest my bitcoins in it knowing that the bank’s method will be very new and vulnerable to multiple threats rather if needed to invest I would love to turn my bitcoins into fiat and then invest them in bank and feel the relief that my money is safe and increasing there. But maybe in future if the bitcoin depositing feature comes and seems promising to me I might try it too.

During this, I to the bank never offered to deposit a Bitcoin. That they were confused when asked me what your job and I answer Bitcoin. And they all still feel free and ask what is Bitcoin and how it works. Perhaps in my country when Bitcoin haven't fully community know.

I am a person who does not trust the bank completely. Regardless of their form, they seek profit for themselves entirely as logical but otherwise very bitter.  Undecided

You're right! Absolutely! Couldn't agree more.

Of course, with time, which could be years, if not decades, as soon as bitcoin price settles down we can expect the banks to come into play just because they wouldn't want to lose their business.
BUT, the banks are totally unreliable so why would I bother to place a deposit with them when I can make a lot more from my cryptowallet? What's the use of bank deposits when we have something way more reliable and secure than banks?

it seems they will adopt cryptocurrency within the next few years
cryptocurrency will be used by the world's population for various transaction purposes
and the bank will not lose its popularity either

First thing first if banks decide to introduce bitcoin deposits in it in large scale then countries will need to centralize the use of bitcoin only then bank will be able to invest our bitcoin or whatever crypto currency it is in other investments, secondly bank must build some special kind of wallets which are literally hack proof since bitcoin is a very vulnerable and easy target for hackers over the world.

Well it is good is the banks offer that kind of investment in us, Less risk and less hassle at all and you can secure your bitcoin on it. Its up to them how they make it double or how they manage your bitcoin in safety process.

No it wont happen because it requires a good digital wallet that will reserve for the bitcoin deposits. At the same time banks could never had the assurance on that part but it could happen when there is a good digital wallet. Maybe one day if there is a digital wallet that could prove its worth that could not be breached out by anybody then probably one day bank will accept bitcoin deposits.

I am sure banks will not offer bitcoin deposits, with fluctuating bitcoin prices banks will be confused in giving interest when bitcoin prices rise clear banks will lose from bitcoin price increases

I think the possibility is there. Remember when Internet came into life every county adopt on it. And now bitcoin is the evolution of the internet and currency in one. Banks need also to adopt on this kind of changes.
