There's no point to replace it.
I don't think that bitcoin can or should be the best crypto on all levels though. Let bitcoin do the one thing that it's best at.
Other coins will compete for the rest.

Yes, there's no point and need for replacing bitcoin with another one. Most of the people are going to stay with bitcoin and will treat other alts as for trading and gambling purposes only. While bitcoin is going to be the main crypto currency which can be good for different transactions that they wish to use.
Bitcoin will be the most popular crypt currency in the online world, believe me people are putting their money in bitcoin
and we have seen how strong this currency is right now. After it was almost lost it's value it has survive and break the all time high.
That is something people.

Those people that are holding bitcoin and pulls out  are starting now to migrate to ETH and loves the way of smart contracts. I just don't know what's in their mind but it doesn't mean that it will replace bitcoin but maybe they are trying something new and thinks that it will be more profitable for them if they are going to migrate there.
Since ETH is just a crypto coin, it can not replace bitcoin since bitcoin is a decentralized coin which all crypto coins can be traded with. Therefore, it can be beat othere crypto coins and get second to the highest volume among of them but it can't beat bitcoin since every crypto coins are being traded with bitcoins giving it highest volume in crypto curency.

Yes I know it that it cannot replace bitcoin but because of it, many seems to be thinking that it can be a threat for it. But whatever it takes, that is good for trading and just because that it is on the second list of the coin market cap and it's far from the total market cap of bitcoin. It won't replace it though I was talking about those people that thinks it will.
Recently the coin grew potentially making sudden increase in the market capital as well in the price. It's been clearly stated that these price variations were just a flutuation in respective to the fall of bitcoin price. This won't withstand long, so replacing bitcoin is not a possible one.
As quoted the growth experienced by few altcoins were just a temporary growth which can go down any time as the volatility of altcoins were quite high. This assures bitcoin won't be replaced by alternate virtual currencies.

i think bitcoin can replace by another cryptocurrency if there is better a cryptocurrency .

The opportunity is huge, when many sided weakness of bitcoin then this is an opportunity that can be use another cryptocurrency, I think Etherium or Monero is better, but the problem is currently bitcoin more popular than monero or etherium, they need hard work and massive marketing.
if etherum or monero is better, why them not famous like bitcoin ?
in fact , bitcoin is be better from others ..

Bitcoin was created for a reason, so I doubt it would be replaced in the near future for some other cryptocurrency. Of course the rest of the altcoins would try their hardest to also be on top ever since Bitcoin became popular. And though there are a lot speculations that a certain altcoin is almost replacing Bitcoin, but the question is its market value. Would it stay on top like the Bitcoin? We can't predict the future but we'll see what happens in the next 2-4years.

To believe (e.g. to be certain) something like that does not make rational sense. To say that is a statistic probability makes much more sense. However, this has been discussed over and over again. In order for the cryptocurrency space to thrive, it would be most suitable if there were multiple coins at the top and not just one (as currently Bitcoin is). Nobody can say that either one will happen for sure; they would only be speculating.
Bitcoin for now is upgrading and its value increases dramatically so thinking that bitcoin would be replaced by other crypto-currencys thats imposibble for know. We all know that bitcoins value is depending to the support of people so many people continue to choose bitcoin than any other crypto-currency. That is the fact and when bitcoin becomes more popular many buisness will be open on accepting bitcoin so it may be the future ot bitcoin. It cant be replaced by any other. Because bitcoin is just starting to grow more.

Also because we are addicted of using bitcoin and use it rather than using any other currency we are unknown of.
This is the main factor bitcoin will not be replaced !

same thing was told about e-gold about 10 years ago and e-gold is the past now. Smiley

Bitcoin will be the past in the next 2-3 years when another e-currency will arise

Right we can expect that happens in near future when we will see some other currency taking over bitcoins which will be holding better features then bitcoin and it will take no time for people to switch to that currency keeping bitcoin behind.
I think it will not happen in the near future, although there is a coin that is much more sophisticated like ETH. but if users remain confident and determined using bitcoin. I think bitcoin will continue to live

Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?

In my view, BTC will eventually be replaced as the number 1 crypto in terms of market cap.  But that's it...  I wouldn't go too far by saying that Bitcon will eventually die anytime soon.
In terms of marketcap gap yes there are some that hs potential to beat up bitcoins but in terms of popularity no coins will replace bitcoin

So you think that there isn't any coin that could take Bitcoin out? I have to disagree because the Altcoin volume is large compared to the ones with Bitcoin. Total up the whole Altcoin volume then comparing it to Bitcoins daily volume and you'll see a bunch of money that is just floating around in cyberspace. I am pretty sure that something will replace Bitcoin because there is more money laying around in the world that people haven't even circulated yet. So if the Governments just quit printing money, then digital payments will start to begin in full effect.

If the governments quit printing money, it might become a bad thing to them because there will not have enough money to pay people that work for them. Government mostly print more money to decrease the unemployment rate of the country. Even when they quit printing money and we start using digital payment more, they will have to add up more and more digital money because like you said, not all money are being circulated.

People in general have savings account and the more they earn money, the more money goes to their savings accounts. That means more money goes out of circulation

Some people are savers, some people are even hoarders

But the majority of people are still spenders, and they mostly live paycheck-to-paycheck. Saving money as money is pretty meaningless given the inflation rates while the amount saved is more or less constant, depending on a host of factors. What I mean to say is that the percentage of money that government prints due to people saving money should be relatively small. Governments (through commercial banks) typically start issuing more money when the national economy is expanding. In fact, they don't even need to deliberately start the printing press. Money is created inside the system on its own via demand for money (e.g. businesses looking for credit to expand production)

It will become a financial disaster once there is no "physical" assets that can treat as a money so printing is a must, of course with a big concern with the inflation rate.

It's impossible that only crypto must be the working money in whole world since virtual currencies rely only on digital world, yes only with the use of internet. Without internet, virtual currencies are nothing.

If the fees keeps on getting higher and higher then may be the users of bitcoin will think of switching to some other currency and we may see some new coin in future which can replace bitcoins and which will also holding better features then bitcoins.

I believe that every altcoin was created aiming to fill a gap that BTC doesn't cover today. Further developments in BTC software can close it, but now the community has a better understand that no coin can have all use cases that we discovered for the blockchain technology and the different way ti implement it.
That being said, look like that the future is multiple coins, each one being the best choice for a specific end.

I think it is very possible that there can be another coin that is at the top maybe even be on Topper then Bitcoin currently is just look at it. And how fast that cryptocurrency has grown over the years. Give that a few more years each point and be worth just as much or more possibly less but higher market cap. Each cryptocurrency has a a certain used case for it Faria Miss for applications but going this more as currency and as new ideas or merge and new markets Dr I think it will be possible that there will be more coins at the top.

I also think that Bitcoin will get replaced by something else. As for now, Bitcoin is being used as the payment of choice for many Digital products and the people trying to make money from it are transferring their money into something other than Bitcoin so I think that Bitcoin won't stay for more than 20 years. If Bitcoin does last longer than that then the price of Bitcoin will get very expensive and plenty of people will get attacked online and offline because they claimed to have Bitcoins.

Even some crypto enthusiasts adopt other coins they would never leave bitcoin easily because they know what is their main priority. Some may shift but they will always go back to the best. Other says bitcoin will replace by altcoins but they are keep on using it.
