When we talk about cryptocurrency network, anything could happen in a short or long run. At the same lots of digital currencies existed following bitcoin which got vanished in a very short time. On this account the possibility of bitcoin getting replaced by some other digital currency is very low.

I don't think that happens, and if so happens this possibility is far for now. even with ethereum, the bitcoin has remained strong and I hope it stays that way for at least a decade.
Though we cannot completely strikeout that there will be no other cryptocurrency to overtake bitcoin, but the probability of such event happening is indeed very minimimal or it may take a very long time and efforts to come by.
I don't think of a specific altcoin that will displace bitcoin from its current hegemony. I prefer to think that sooner rather than later will occur a conjunction of events that might make the bitcoin gradually lose its current value. Remember that even almighty technologic advances gradually were displaced like yahoo or IBM, so it is impossible to think that bitcoin will remain forever.

Yes, this makes sense. Bitcoin is probably not suitable for replacing every and each fiat coin in the world right now as it is and make an unique, universal coin... So another coin will probably replace it, or Bitcoin will evolve so much that it will make no more sense to call it Bitcoin. Only future will tell.
I dont think this is going to happen becasue i know for sure thast the bitcoimn cannot be replaced by an other crypto currency just becuase i know that ther bitcoin is trongerr than that. The Monero is too different from the bitcoin. It uses totally different technology. Its blocks are bloating fast.
Monero is a reasonably safe altcoin and it may be great for trading but I don't think it can ever replace Bitcoin. The initial impression a coin makes tends to define how big its userbase can grow to. The devs would have to bring truly game-changing innovation to the table for Monero's userbase to explode and reach Bitcoin level.

How about ZCash? It seems it is not a copycat of the bitcoin and it has strong development team at the moment.
I had positive feelings about it for some time, but I have read some articles, and I have changed my mind on it.
ZCash is so privacy protected that you cant even know how many coins exists or if there is a backdoor in the code.
Not a very good concept, if there is no public transparency.
i could ignore all the hard forks, the hacks and all that but there is no way i could ever ignore the fact that it is centralized and manipulated coin.
And it has sheep nodes, that agree with everything the development says without questioning.

I hate the fact that monero doesnt have a GUI wallet, i wont even try it before they give out a GUI wallet, and it's shameful that they expect everyone to use a shitty command line interface. It wont work like that. So monero wont have any chance until they make it more user friendly.

if any altcoin has any chance it is LTC because it is old, battle hardened and is being actively developed.
i am not really following NMC much but i agree with the Monero that it has a pretty good chance.

I am not sure that bitcoin could be replaced by other digital currencies. bitcoin digital currency is the first in the world. I still believe bitcoin will be used by everyone in the world and none of interference from other altcoin.
yeah bitcoin is bigger in compare to other digital currencies so I don't think that any other coin has potential to replace bitcoins and even if it happens then it will take long time.
Right now or in a short bitcoin will never be replaced by some other crypto currency or the altcoins, because bitcoin is the one which has grown high as well the long surviving digital currency. According to the way it's been developed, its been predicted that it lasts around 2150 year. So in my view, after this new coin with same potential of bitcoin might come with a new name.
Don't know why you think after all bitcoin get mined on 2150 other crypto can replace bitcoin, even when all bitcoin will be mined that is 21 million bitcoin network will be functioning as due to limited supply price will be high with growing demand of bitcoin.And also talking about new coin with same potential of bitcoin, why we need another clone without nothing new and we already have lots of such clones and i don't think they have any potential to replace bitcoin.
There are no chance that bitcoin will be replaced by another cryptocurrency and bitcoin now stong and no one can defeat him if you are going to configuring out bitcoin will be more expensive by the time past and that really imposible if bitcoin will replace soon.
As we all know that all things doesnt exist forever and could able to replace by a new one and thats reality because things on this world had a cycle but in the situation of bitcoin we could really say that it wont be replace by any other crypto because as we all know that bitcoin is the father of all cryptos and its impossible for it to be replaced by some alts.
