No I don't think it is possible, there is now way it can be replaced by any other cryptocurrency in the market. Although there are many arising problems right now on bitcoin it still dominating in the crypto market.
Sad to say but it is possible.

If bitcoin will not solve it's problem traders, people, merchants will just jump to another alt coin that has faster confirmation and lesser fees.

But it will be solved soon, there's no need to get into another crypto.

Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
in the term of market value? i doubt it.
though bitcoin can be replace i terms of transferring as bitcoin is really ono slow transfer and can accommodate 4 transfer in every seconds, this ain't a good ration especially now that bitcoin is really spreading all over the world.

Nothing is impossible, but how could some alt coins replace such a popular, most valued coin and known as the mother of cryptocurrencies. It will be hard for them replace it and change the whole system of cryptoworld.
That’s true. Bitcoin is the oldest crypto currency and the most expensive as well. There is no other currency which is able to overcome or overthrow bitcoin from throne. Bitcoin is ruling the crypto market for years and all other currencies are totally dependent on it for their pumps and dumps. Many altcoins are trying hard to at least reach the nearest position to bitcoin but not possible for them at all because the demand of bitcoin is damn high.

this is very easy to understand. Bitcoin may not be suitable to replace any and every fiat coin in today's world like now and make unique universal coins, so other coins might replace it, or Bitcoin will develop in such a way that it will not exist anymore.

The simplest meaning of the term "obsolete" is "outdated". If there would be a new crypto that can replace the first crypto, then it's quite possible. Altcoins exist because of the concept of bitcoin, but they're not rivaling against it, just being an alternate to bitcoin. I guess when the time comes that a crypto aside from bitcoin is favored by the majority of the cryptocurrency community, then that's the safest time that we can say that bitcoin is being obsolete.

I have heard that some kind of cryptocurrency (don’t remember the name) was going to beat Bitcoin. But such stories like the legends. In the real world it is hard to imagine any currency that will replace Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is the one of best currency that everyone want to join for earning and investment because its price going to more increase and that is very beneficial because bitcoin can make easy life for those who have very low income and they cannot manage their budget, so bitoin will replace other cirrency because everyone like this forum for their future and they depend on just bitcoin non other.

Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
This is possible if any altcoin has the potential and attracts the trader as well as the investor who cares and invests in it. I believe that bitcoin can not last forever and it will be beaten by a better altcoin.

I agree with you, bitcoin will not always be liked by investors. bitcoin will disappear slowly as the number of bitcoin worldwide decreases. I think the bitcoin will run out but it takes a long time. after the bitcoin is lost then the best altcoin will hold the crypto currency.

Impossible to happen because bitcoin already established solid foundation in cryptoworld, and as of this moment bitcoins continuously moving up and gaining massive trust to investors. Bitcoin still dominates..

possibly bro, ETH or Litecoin could be
I think ETH has  good chance, I don't know but that is my bet and that is why I am putting my money on ETH.
Right now it's very undervalued, most of the altcoins are rising but ETH remain stable, and in that sense I think ETH is a good buy now.
Maybe you are right but not totally Grin Grin
You told that ethereum remains stable.  So according to your statement don't you think that it would be a foolish work to buy ETH at this moment?
My opinion says that it would be but if you want to invest your money in altcoins then it is your personal matter.

I do not think that bitcoin will be replaced by another crypto currency because 1 bitcoin is equal to 16000$ and 1 ethereum is equal to 700$. Moreover other currencies are less valuable than bitcoin. So we can see that there are a huge difference between bitcoin and other crypto currencies. So it is not only hard but also impossible to replace bitcoin by other crypto currencies.

- Of course, although Bitcoin is king but each era will be born a new king, sooner or later, Bitcoin will also face strong and potential competitors, someday it will be defeated, people will gradually abandon Bitcoin and switch where the new ideal investment. However, this scenario will need a long time to appear, the king can not be defeated simply, time is probably very long with us, and during the period of waiting, we should continue to invest and make money with Bitcoin, it still is a source of infinite profit with us

Bitcoin is irreplaceable as long as people are utilizing it because we know that bitcoin is the beginning of cryptos and been dominant for the past years since it was launched. There's a very long way and challenges for an altcoin to replace bitcoin's place.

Eth has been involved in a lot of big project, and currently it has a strong community with promising market capitalization. It's sounds in hurry if we talk about this but yeah ethereum could be a big threat for bitcoin. Not only about the value but also other factors.

I also think that, one of the reasons ETH has the potential to replace BTC is because of the token based ETH and 100% fundraising using ETH.
it will trigger a continuous increase and if ICO development wants, they can make ETH price very high
