hello friend, it's not as easy as saying that bitcoin will disappear in the future I think bitcoin has shown its greatness as a virtual currency that can make improvements by itself. I know with the current market situation will be many people who think pessimistic on bitcoin so they assume bitcoin will disappear. I think the bitcoin will not disappear because this is just the starting stage for bitcoin growth.

Asking this sort of question is like asking whether gold can disappear. Well bitcoin will only disappear when gold disappears. This simply mean that it is going no where.

The only thing that will likely happen is its value dropping, alas! It will pick again. Now lets look at some reasons why bitcoin is here to stay.

Bitcoin is a Magic Dragon. It is a piece of code running on thousands of computers, and it is peer to peer networks and it is decentralized. You can not turn off a peer to peer system without stopping the other systems running on the same internet network. Bitcoin is going nowhere. Even if all the countries in the world starts regulating it, it will still exist and people will use it legally or illegally.

I think it is hard to completely erase Bitcoin the picture. It is already been used by establishments and it is alreqdy affecting lives of different people in different ways. Most people will not like that it will be eliminated.
Indeed, but crypto was unpredictable, we didn't even know if it will last long. We shouldn't think if it will vanish but rather make a move. Just use it always and be part of the campaign that spread the news about bitcoin. And if you did all of that there's a possibilty that massive adoption may occur then it may become a new mode of payment.

I'm on the "belief" thing.

Bitcoin has two things going for it:

- The tech
- The origin story

The tech can be recreated and improved (even within BTC itself). The origin story is not reproducible though, making every competitor a bit less than what Bitcoin is.

All are possible but no need to think if crypto or bitcoin disappear and the best to do now is do hardwork so even bitcoin become gone or no anymore still you have big money coming from it actually base on my insight this will never end because the cycle only repeat itself here in crypto like users, traders and investors do transaction so i'm sure a lot of business man here can handle all the cycle here even during drops

A good rule to follow is never to invest more than what you would be willing to lose.
Agreed, you need to invest only that much amount of money in any kind of investment which you can afford to lose because you never know whether you are going to end up losing or gaining more money. I don’t really think so that there is any such reason because of which we can claim such kind of thing like that of disappearing of the bitcoin in the future. Bitcoin will remain there in this world and will keep on making us richer.

Its not only good, its the golden rule for any investment. Without being greedy always ask this question to yourself, how much we can afford of losing!!!
I used to trade in forex and Bitcoin is not exceptional of it. When we think the price is at lowest, now is the best time to buy it may show a sudden drop. Recently Mark Carney, Bank of England governor and head of the Financial Stability Board told to G20 members that crypto assets “do not pose risks” to the world’s economy. I cant believe how there is sudden rise in BTC price.

Maybe not. We're now living in a digital world where digital currency is already being known worldwide. Cryptocurrency or bitcoin in particular may dump but it will continue and will recover soon. It is impossible to disappear just because the value is dropping. Maybe new coins will appear in the future but bitcoin will still remain in the market.

The acceptance of digital currency maybe a long process or will take a long time but the foundation as set by the emergence of bitcoin is already there. So bitcoin will not disappear now or even in the future. It will become a legacy in the era of crypto currencies

What do you mean disappear? No one mining, trading, exchanges shutting down bitcoin pairings? All bitcoin mine?

I don' think that bitcoin will just disappear in the cryptoverse, I also have a hunch that it can't even be replaced though we can this kind of scaling issues like forever. Because there are too much money that have been flowing eversince and I doubt that investors will just stop pouring money in the ecosystem.

Yes, there are attacks all over from Governments, banks all over the world  or even a competitor coins like BCH. However, its too resilient from this crisis that it will survived everything until the last bitcoin is mine (which we are all dead by then).
With a lot going on for bitcoin, I really do not see how this is going to end up happening without the government directly attacking everyone globally which is apparently not possible. We are talking about something that must have gone global by then, and most people would have seen fiat for what it really is (a highly manipulated system with only some few people circulating the wealth among themselves). If government ends up building their currency on the blockchain, it would still be the same thing, just as we have it now.

I am very optimistic that even after the government end up coming up with their own centralized currency, that does not necessarily mean that decentralized currencies will just go into extinction. Apparently, the same way we have fiat and the whole system going on together, is actually the same way we are going to keep having it when that time comes.

In the future, bitcoin may yet have another destiny. If a sovereign state were to issue its own digital currency based on blockchain technology, the situation would be complicated. Matthew Bishop, senior editor of the economist, said: "the biggest risk for digital money is that the government is likely to act to destroy alternative currencies other than fiat currencies." So should we worry about this?

digital currency needs to meet a necessary condition, which is the stability of monetary value.

Firstly, there already exist officially backed up coins (like usdt or ripple) and there are some project of national cryptocurrencies as well. I don't think they possess any threat to the ones we are used to. They are weak and don't target the international audience. Moreover, I don't think that governments will really destroy cryptocurrencies they dislike. First of all, they can't destroy them literally, they can only ban them. Yet even banning doesn't look reasonable to me, because we live in a world where most of developed countries support liberalism. Their citizens are also used to having some rights and stuff. Banning coins may lead to serious destabilization, civil wars etc. which is the kind of stuff that will hurt local fiat economies even more that if cryptos just kept being untouched.

I do not think that bitcoin will disappear, although I know the opinion that blockchain as the technology will remain and  cryptocurrencies may disappear...

Yes bitcoin will not be die in future so I think it’s value will increase every year so the investors will not panic with the fall in sometimes so I trust bitcoin with its unique features and its short time development.

We cannot predict if bitcoin will just disappear in the future or it will still stay as a digital currency. But, since the creation of bitcoin way back nine years ago it is not recognizable or people giving attention to this but as you can see years by years, bitcoin evolves its value and became the dominant crypto currency. Though, the market now are in red line but still bitcoin has a high value than any other crypto currencies. So, probably in the near future bitcoin will still remain if the more and more people utilize it and recognize it by the government.

Similar topic-

I am new to the cryptocurrency world and want to make some investments but I have just a few questions I am hoping someone can help me with here.

With all the recent news about the U.S and some other nations regulating and possibly banning cryptocurrency there seems to be an uncertainty floating around. My questions are:

Is the U.S likely to ban cryptocurrency in 2018 or ever?

Is the current crash because of the news from Korea and India cracking down on exchanges and cryptos?

If the U.S and other nations do regulate cryptocurrency how will it effect bitcoin and all other cryptoccurencies?

I'm just afraid if I invest now everything will come down to zero lol  even though it is a time to buy.

To me I also think that bitcoin won't disappeare. If bitcoin wanted then it would had already disappeared when the price was low, the community was small.
This is totally my thinking. Bitcoin won't fool this huge number of bitcoin users.

Bitcoin will not disappear, Japan, Singapore, Korea Legalize bitcoin, and some country operating atm machine. Lot of well known business using bitcoin as payment.
But it may possible Ripple become the most trustful coin, and bank will allow transaction with ripple.
Western union also working and integrating with ripple and may be september 2018 they launch start transaction process.
