And if we take a look into its market resistance, it was clear enough to see Bitcoin keep soaring and how it affect the entire market more than a thing that ETH can do.

The chances of ETH overtaking BTC must be so low as to effectively be zero.
I do think that all coins will recover in price as we come out of the initial shock of CV-19. On top of this, ETH is likely to outperform most other alts (but not necessarily BTC) as it has such good development (and the move to hybrid PoS), as well as solid use case.
So at the end of 2020 I would tentatively suggest a much higher ETH price, but still well below the ATH. But BTC would remain #1 in cap by some considerable distance.

Probably what he meant is taking the number 1 position in the market as ETH is already number 1 in altcoin market. Which I think is not going to happen, ETH has very less support if we compare to bitcoin, and bitcoin is holding the biggest dominate rate and it will beat the entire altcoins.

This is too early to expect as 2020 only the Beginning and even the ethereum 2.0 is still hanging and no one knows when will this happen.
We all agree that no one doubts the quality and performance of ethereum. But to be number 1 and defeat bitcoin is not possible.
In my opinion ethereum to be number 2 is the maximum result, because bitcoin is too strong to beat. Indeed reality like that,

agree, that we must see the long-standing fact that ethereum is still affected and follows the movements of bitcoin. although we must admit that ethereum is still the best of all altcoins to date.
look at the movement of ethereum this year, at the beginning of $ 129 and when compared to now $ 173, there was a very good increase but it is unfortunate when febuary ethereum had wanted to penetrate $ 300 but did not happen and fell back. maybe if for the end of the year ethereum will be able to penetrate more than $ 500, hopefully this will be achieved.

Ethereum is good but not enough to surpass Bitcoin, not this year this happens to be the halving year of Bitcoin no coins can overtake Bitcoin at this point in time, I support Ethereum with all its development but I don't see it surpassing maybe in the future but not this year.
As of now, there is no altcoin that can replace bitcoin. It had been the most successful crypto, people see bitcoin as the main cryptocurrency. It is too far from reality for ethereum to replace bitcoin at the current state since bitcoin dominates the market.

Dominance of Bitcoin is more than 63 percent, any coin can't beat Bitcoin easily. As Ethereum 2.0 could arrive this year, Bitcoin Halving will be this year or next month. You can't rely on one announcement. Number 1 is always gone for Bitcoin, but can compare with profits between this two coin. Wow your question little make me shock but of course the answers is NO. ETH will never take btc place,btc is in another level. If we are talking about cryptocurrency,btc is one our main point. Even eth have a good technologi or many token using as platform but it will never change the fact btc is still the best.
Even if I am a strong supporter of eth, I don't think it will surpass the popularity of usage of bitcoin. Definitely not this year, or the next couple of years. Since their nature is different, they will just have their own respective users but to compare the number, bitcoin will still be the dominant one among these 2 top cryptos.

That was not happen to take a first place, ETh was only being in top 2 no doubt about that.

It is not possible ETH will occupy position 1 because bitcoin will still be the first. There is no match for bitcoin with other altcoins. Many people have known much earlier with bitcoin, so on average the investor holds the first coin, which is bitcoin, even a large whale of any company bitcoin becomes the most important coins in transactions and investments because of the large adoption of bitcoin on a large scale.
