It seems to me that the disappearance of Buterin (it does not matter whether it is death or simply it will stop working) will not affect the situation with ethereum. Yes, maybe from the beginning it will have a negative impact, but then everything will recover.

Maybe the price of ethereum will only fall a little like 10% or 20% down if the founder vitalik will die but not fall like the price reach to zero because many erc20 projects will not allowed it to happen because if they do their projects also crash. Vitalik Buterin is only the spokesperson of Ethereum, but Vitalik Buterin does not affect the price of Ethereum, because the price of Ethereum is determined by the purchasing power of investors, not someone!
The whole project idea and updates lay on Vitalic's fragile shoulders. If he die the price of Ethereum will decrease dramatically.

I don't assume thus, a bit like bitcoin once Satoshi Nakamoto nonexistent in void bitcoin still survived and even pump. Ethereum can live once Vilatik dies as a result of they're a team that developed that platform and it's not an honest move to possess solely one one who is aware of that platform.

This is one of the point of EOS founder when he said about letting the community run the project on its own. Dan Larimer leave Bitshares and it continues to live to its glory and same thing with Steemit. Just like Satoshi leaves bitcoin and it continues to grow. If ETH founder Buterin will die soon, will the project also live on? Its going to also be solved once and for all before that happens. He must put things to rest if it goes POS decide when it will or just let the miners mine forget about the POS. If they leave us hanging while there is a platform good enough to promise without transaction fee such as EOS, the people will go there instead.

Project is open source , so project will not end. It will continue by some other members.
I think it has a slight effect on the price but later on, it will recover I guess. I do believe on that project Ethereum it has a good potential and it is developed project so there is no reason it will crash out in the market. In my own not only Vitalik who has managing on that project probably there is a group working on that project. But who knows what will happen we still hoping that as of now everything will be fine as long as Vitalik was there.
Really I think it will just cause panic for a short while but subsequently, somebody else will take The mantle and move the project on wards. There will be a little blip surely especially with the rise of competing platforms but it will survive. Ps, I hope vitalik stays around for a long long time. He is one the the strongest players on the crypto space.
Etherium is not only Vitalik, but also the team of specialists behind the project. The infrastructure is already established, there is a growing number of projects based on Etherium network - this is going to stay regardress of Vitalik`s death.

Nah, that's the good thing about decentralization that crypto is giving us. Even if the creator is gone, it will still thrive due to the community supporting it.

Ethereum is just like a house, after the building process is completed, even though all the builders left it. The house will still stand strong covering everyone inside the house. So there is unlikely that ETH will be failing even if Vitalik or someone else leaving it.
well. i dont think so. ethereum is a very strong project with a good infrastructure. i dont think it is going to fail in this case. but of course if vitalik dies, ethereum price falls because so many investors panic and try to dump the price.
Bitcoin is not dead when Satoshi Nakamoto is still anonymous! Vitalik is the foundation, the development of ETH not only due to Vitalik. By the community and its practical application!
This is not a change or a setback for eth, eth has many people behind it who will continue to grow up and give people confidence. Maybe there will be a slight temporary change in the price but it won't last long.
Isn't the point of having something being decentralised is that it bypases a single point of failure? Having seen how the price of Etherum reacts every time Vitalik makes an ill conceived statement I am convinced the project would do better with somebody else leading it.

Of course there will be a fall and maybe even the loss of a top spot on the list. But after replacing the manager, he will still remain a stable coin, due to the demand and dedicated investors who have invested for the long term. The death of developer will caused the price to go down, especially a big project like eth, it will crash severely, when the developer gone then the project could have difficulty to grow, that will be the main reason for the investors to take out their funds and buy other coin, even if they found another substitute, it will take time to make the investors trust back to invest
