In my opinion Ethereum will still life when the founder died, because there are alot of others team developer possible to keep continue to development the platform and the technology. Ethereum community is big and keep bigger in every year because this technology is young and has big potential to give more benefits to the many industry. Just like Bitcoin still live although the sathosi nakamoto does not exist anymore and he is not real.

I think there would be no serious problems if Vitalik died. There will be people in the development team replacing him. And everything is fine.

Vitalik won't die soon Cheesy But most cryptos (BTC including) can be completely different in 10-15 years from now

I don't think so, because what makes Ethereum survive or fail is investors and not Vitalik. because in my opinion even though Vitalik is dead but there are still many people who use and invest Etheruem then I'm sure Ethereum will definitely survive and succeed, but if no one believes Ethereum again then I'm sure Etheruem will fail even though Vitalik isn't dead.
in this case trust will remain the main. I agree with you, even though vitalik still exists but investor confidence is reduced to ethereum there will be potential to die. so in this context trust remains the main thing for ethereum's and crypto's future

No. I don't think the Ethereum will die even if Vitalik Buterin dies. The Ethereum has a great team of developers that can take care of Ethereum till eternity with or without Vitalik. He is just another Ethereum co-founder, once he's gone another will take his place.

That's certainly true, mate. Ethereum might survive after all, due to the vast amount of developers working on it. Perhaps, after Vitalik dies, members of the foundation might find someone that would replace Vitalik as the new leader of the Ethereum project. If developers and the public in general become interested in advancing Ethereum for the future, then there shouldn't be any reason for the cryptocurrency project to fail anytime soon.

Of course, things will head south due to Vitalik's death, but I believe it's only temporary as Ethereum becomes highly demanded by people in the mainstream world for access to a wealth of ERC-20 tokens available on the blockchain. As such, the same way Apple survived even with Steve Jobs' death, the same could probably happen to Ethereum. Only this time, another leader could emerge, or the project would head in its own direction guided by the community. Just my opinion Smiley

I do not think that the vitalik will die soon Grin. It seems to me that the team at ethereum is very good and they could develop the project without it

Of course it won't fail , because Vitalik is not the only developer who works on the project. Perhaps he is the most public and well-known of the team, but I am sure that they will be able to develop the project without Vitalik. Of course, such news could have a very negative effect on Ethereum's price, but with time, the price would recover if the development team will do their job .

Well i don't think so because as BTC even as the "creator" is no longer here or anonymous it still become one of the most famous currencies right now and i think ETH may dump but still get on the market.

I think if this happens then the course of the coin will drop a lot. But the project itself will remain alive and will work. But what will happen then is unknown to me

First of all, I wish to ask one question: why should Vitalik die? Is he seriously ill? The guy simply said once that IF he stops to work at Ethereum, nothing would happen to altcoin. ETH is cool enough and strong.

Buterin can at least leave the Ethereum community today. and everything will work. other people have been writing code for a long time. but Vitalik is more of a legend.  Wink

I hope nothing will happen to Vitalik, but I think that Ethereum will live long after Vitalik’s death. He has a large and strong team that will develop the product no matter what happens.

Although Vitalik Buterin is the founder of Ethereum, this does not mean that the price of Ethereum will change with him. Ethereum is a brand, its price is determined by the market, not by a certain person!

I think that it would be like Apple. When Steve Jobs died, company lost a lot of money but they continued to work. And now the capitalization of Apple is so huge. The developers of Ethereum will continue to work if Vitalik die.
It absolutely does, Vitalik have its team members and they might continue their mission and goals even if its leader dies. But I'm pretty sure ETH will drop down at the moment and turn back once the team recover from such loss.

You are right, it will create a big impact in ETH if they lose a trusted person. Popularity increases only in the trust of a person and its entire administration. Yes it may take time to recover but it will not die as there is a huge reputation for this coin.

There maybe some certain backslide if that happens. But I think not, because aside from Vitalik, he have many more developers behind the ethereum coin. And I know for sure, some would step in front and continue the legacy of Vitalik.

What do you think will happen with Ethereum if Vitalik Buterin's death is confirmed? Will the price crash and the project fail? Or would it continue to grow into infinity and beyond? I'm concerned about this, since previously, there were rumors about Vitalik's death which caused the price of Ethereum to fall drastically within the cryptocurrency market. Fortunately, Vitalik showed proof that he was alive, which calmed the downfall of Ethereum's price.

However, if Vitalik dies, many things could happen either good or bad. Perhaps, Ethereum may fall if Vitalik dies, because he's been leading the project every step of the way. By not having a leader, the Ethereum project will disorientate itself into oblivion, IMO. Nonetheless, what are your thoughts about this? Roll Eyes

It seems to me that Ethereum doesn't end only on Vitalik Buterin. Yes, he is an important public figure and if he ever leaves Ethereum, it will cause a short-term depreciation. But nothing more. If the development will be successful, and not as bad as now with the planned hard fork, then the ether will be all right.

I think that Ethereum’s popularity is not only its merit. One person can not unleash. He has a good team. Most likely all options are already provided for the safety of the coin.
