There are many ethereum developers who will continue the works of vitalik if something happened to him maybe the ethereum network will improved or failed but Im sure this developers knew what they can do and what more features they can improved over time etherem will not die of course.
I am sure that ethereum has become a popular and stable coin so that with or without the inventor of ethereum that is Vitalik then ethereum will always be a favorite, this is the strength of ethereum which is a coin that can be used to make many tokens.
Ethereum's price should not be based on a single person's life. I don't believe that the death of Vitalikvwill have an effect on Ethereum as majority of the hodler of it were scattered. We can't trust a coin if the price is based on a single investor. Crypto currency isn't made that way.

I don't remember what year in America the owner of the largest firm died. If I'm not mistaken, the Dow Jones firm. After that, people panicked and thought it was a crash for the company. They started selling shares and only because of their panic the price fell. Not because a man died, but because people panicked. The company continued to work further

Yes, Ethereum will not be affected in anyway. Ethereum is a project and Vitalik is not indispensable as anything can happen. It is more like saying when Steve Jobs dies, did Apple crumble? No, it did not and we still keep seeing apple in the same light as we have been seeing it. One thing is that the market will move on, Ethereum will move on as there are so many developers on board and we will only have a name to remember for Vitalik for coming up with some smart contract platform in the long run. I am able to understand your concern over being a centralized project. I just wonder about 1000s of other coins which are all being taken care of its one developer or group of developers but if something will happen to them, how it will move to next step. I had never thought in this perspective but now onward need to analyze on this matter more seriously.

Can not negate that Vitalik has the greatest merit in building EThereum as it is today. If Vitalik leaf out Ethereum project, I think this thing will has a little bad influent to Ethereum but it is still going to continue developing
ETH would be completely fine if Vitalik left the project. I think there would be some initial panic dumping, that would subside and then things would move forward.
If Vitalik dies ETH will fall down very hard for sure. But it doesn’t mean that the project will stop progressing. At the worst it can be bought by big companies like Microsoft.

I don’t think something will happen to ETH. He is not alone in the project. There is a whole team that improves and works on the project.
Nothing generally will happen and apparently we will just see the projects kicking up further with the other developers on board. We do not even know the whereabouts’ of Satoshi, and here we are still clamoring on the usage of bitcoin with development going on further and for what it is worth, so many people have died in the past like Steve Jobs, and the company is still thriving till date.Ethereum will not be affected in anyway and may be the only thing that will be affected is Vitalik's HODL stash if no one have access to it apart from itself, and even at that, it would just make the circulating supply to eventually reduce.
Ethereum will die if Vitalik is dead or alive, the blockchain is full of scammy fake ICOs and the transaction speed makes it unusable in business. Take a look at a real project like NEO which will surpass ethereum one day, or even something like QTUM which is looking at 50k tps

Vitaly is the founder of Ethereum and is the owner of a large number of coins. His departure from the project or his death will certainly have a negative effect on Ethereum. You can remember what happened with the death of Steve Jobs and Apple, as well as the departure of Elon Musk from the post of chairman of the board of directors had a negative effect on Tesla's stock price.

However Im sure that if ethereum still alive, there's still hope. The point of being decentralized is that it will not rely on individual or instituiton, ethereum is owned by community. Maybe vitalik leaving is a bad news and could potentially affect everyone involved to ethereumbut however it's hardly bring down ethereum to the point where it will have zero value.

I think company should not depending on person. It will be not healthy for bussiness. Ethereum is reputable coin in market and i am believe it will not give big effect to the price if founder die.
ETH is not stable for the last time and I think that it could be happend because this coin doesn't have enough strong supporting to be saved from this possible case.

OMFG! Where have you read that Buterin is dead or has some troubles? I've never heard about it! I guess, nothing good will happen with the cryptocurrency, even if such a tragedy occurs - but everything depends on the team! I wish Buterin good luck! I'm thankful to him for all he does!
I don't think Ethereum will fail if Vitalik dies at any time, Ethereum has already a big community of developers and software engineers of which some among them will take over and continue to develop Ethereum network
