ethereum is not an altcoin that needs to be doubted its quality, ethereum developers and the team are constantly working to develop as much as possible. regarding the price, ethereum will follow the bitcoin price, the higher the bitcoin price, the ethereum will also follow.
And what must be seen is market conditions because many people doubt the current market conditions, because when market conditions start to erratic in direction, then the price of Bitcoin will be very chaotic so that it can affect other Altcoins such as Ethereum, because the truth must be doubted is the market, not Ethereum.

As long as we have a civilization, the internet and Cryptocurrency is accepted Ethereum will continue, it is a project that keeps evolving, and for an organization to continue, it should have a plan for continuity, and for a big organization like Ethereum, it should have a long term plan even if their main developers is not around anymore, I'm sure they are going to hire talented people in their fold.

They should hire strong workforce in order to make ethereum sustain longer and preserve the integrity of thiis currency. Same with bitcoin, it dominates the entire crypto market because of its huge capabilities of catering different trading pairs. If their market continues to grow, demand will be a huge factor for a growing community.

Judging by the rate of Ethereum, this race will last forever, I also noticed one pattern, when Bitcoin grows immediately and Ethereum grows, most likely a lot of people trade in the Ethereum / Bitcoin pair, but this trend has persisted for many months, Ether does not grow without growth bitcoin ....
Its movements are always in sync with bitcoin movements. if bitcoin goes up the price of eth goes up. It's the same with other coins. However, I hope that Eth can at least last a long time, considering that more and more people are investing in eth.

Yet they still cant handle high fee situation. Can even imagine how they could fix that. As soon as market goes up, fees goes up as well. Like a curse of Ethereum. Ethereum will last forever, but it will lose it popularity or domination. Some users and projects have migrated already to BSC. Another part of Ethereum fans will move to Cardano soon.

Ever since Ethereum was created in 2015, the whole crypto/Blockchain space improved in many ways that were never imagined. The ICO trend of 2017, and the current "De-Fi"/NFTs hype are all attributed to Ethereum's ever-rising popularity in the mainstream world. If it wasn't because of Ethereum, we wouldn't had a plethora of smart contract platforms to choose from. The crypto/Blockchain space would've been focused solely on finance, instead of serving as a hub for decentralized applications.

It's been 6 years since ETH came into inception, and now the smart contract platform is the second-largest blockchain network in the world. Some people compare ETH to BTC because of its focus on decentralization unlike any other cryptocurrency on the market today. As of this date, Ethereum has a large number of miners and nodes keeping the blockchain alive and healthy. If ETH continues to grow, it could live alongside Bitcoin for many years. But we all know that nothing lasts forever.

What's your opinion on this? Will Ethereum last forever? Or will it eventually die? Do you think it'll retain its place as the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap for long? If not, why? Do competitors stand a chance against ETH? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

yes. I think ethereum will last forever. because ethereum is the best altcoin of all time. and ethereum has given the best to its users. although some time ago there was a problem with transaction fees but ethereum was able to fix it. so in my opinion there is no altcoin that can compete and match ethereum in any way.

I can't guarantee Ethereum will last forever, but for the next 2 or 3 years they will remain at the number two position, so far there is no capacity for another coin to replace it.

If we're honest, the odds against Ethereum are currently very heavy and impossible, ethereum has a lot of advantages at the moment, compared to other coins. More and more people are starting to believe in it and as evidenced by the many choices that are given to people today, it is not fundamental to say that Ethereum will be replaced in the near future.

It's very unlikely Ethereum will disappear anytime soon, since no other competitor has been able to take its place on the market. The world's second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap is similar to Bitcoin with a proven track record of development and innovation. Being the pioneer of smart contracts, Ethereum has obtained first-mover advantage in the world of altcoins.

Now, how long will it last will greatly depend on how far people are willing to let it go. The number of nodes, miners, developers, and individuals have been constantly growing since the network's launch in 2015. Set yourself forward 5 to 10 years from now, and Ethereum will be a much bigger ecosystem than what it is right now. Until a strong competitor comes up, Ethereum will remain the dominant force of the market (after Bitcoin) for a long, long time. Just my thoughts Grin

I think that Ethereum still has potential, developers don't neglect their product. They are improving it all the time. A lot of defi projects appear there, and now we all wait for the launch of Ethereum 2.0.

So I think that no altcoin is likely to replace Ethereum. And I continue holding Ethereum and buying more. In my opinion, the top-3 in the future will be still Bitcoin, Ehtereum and BNB.

That is a bold statement considering Ethereum is going through some major changes in their network regarding the consensus algorithm which is a major shift and a technically challenging move because there are hundreds and thousands of projects that are run on top of the Ethereum blockchain and one minor mistake could wipe away everything including the market valuation of all the alts that are using their blockchain.
And a way for ETH to survive is to take care of their network otherwise, this will cut connection on them and find support from the other network. Like as we know that BSC network is somewhat spreading fast and it competitively moving strongly against ETH. If Mr. Vitalik doesn't give a big shot for their upgrades, this might be the way that ETH will make its way to going down.
But, I don't believe this going to happen and I know that they will find a way to help it out and retain these thousand of projects that rely on the  ETH network.

until now since ethereum was launched, ethereum is still the best altcoin of all time even though there have been many altcoins created to fight or compete with ethereum but in my opinion there is no altcoin that can compete with ethereum to date. because the ethereum platform has a good development every year. and I'm sure ethereum will last forever

In my opinion, Ethereum will last forever because Ethereum continues to show great promise. Even Wall Street along with some retail players are experiencing more interest in Ethereum. Not only will Ethereum last forever, it will also become the most powerful cryptocurrency in the world by market cap.
Cryptocurrency will indeed last a long time. but nothing will last forever. including ethereum. despite the big development and big market capitalization, but in the future, we all will not know about it.

I think it was ETH that open up the eyes of many into the Crypto space. Within the very short while this Crypto has been able to gain so much ground that it has made so much people a millionaires and billionaires. Bitcoin been the father of them all no dispute, we can all testify to that. But looking at it from the angle of so many projects that is based on the ethereum Blockchain technology. It enormous and to think if ethereum is going to last forever- YES. But one other thing I noticed lastly is the high gas fee on all the coins on the eth Blockchain technology and it really affect traders. They need to look into that and make the necessary adjustments.

of course Ethereum can last forever, because Ethereum is like the heart of altcoin, so if Ethereum can't survive then of course altcoin won't be able to survive either, therefore as long as there are still many people who believe to investing in cryptocurrency, then of course Ethereum will still be able to survive and I'm sure Ethereum will last a long time, because many people still believe to investing in cryptocurrency for the long term.

I think it's hard to say whether ETH will last forever because in cryptocurrencies anything can happen, but if you look at the growth and usage of etherem from time to time it is increasing, then it is certain that ETH will remain in crypto,

indeed anything can happen in cryptocurrency, but in my opinion it is unlikely that Ethereum will not last forever, because many investors still support and invest in Ethereum for the long term, then besides that many altcoin use the platform from Ethereum (blockchain), so that's what makes me believe if Ethereum will more popular and can last forever.

- Forever with ethereum will be a word that will always be in our hearts as well as the time that we will breathe air because just looking at the fund and how the big organizations start their businesses and look for relationships with crypto, it's all just proposals and plans right now, they haven't announced the stage of progress but Bitcoin and Ethereum have become the names that are being searched a lot. No need to dominate too long but maybe enough to add a few more decades, even complete a century, when the main trigger is bitcoin still alive, ethereum will still benefit from that angle and live forever

What makes you doubt about Ethereum?
In fact, Ethereum is the second largest crypto platform by market cap after Bitcoin. Ethereum is a great investment option. Ethereum blockchain technology also supports different token currencies, such as ERC-20, Ethereum is not only a decentralized platform, but also a programming language. What is offered is decentralized applications or dApps. so no doubt about ethereum anymore my friend.

When it comes to predicting Ethereum's future cannot be distinguished right away just like with any other coin. Nevertheless, it will more likely go where bitcoin will be in the next few years. As bitcoin is seen as a currency that might last forever, therefore Ethereum has a high probability of surviving too in the near future. Actually, if we were to wonder if a certain coin would last forever, we cannot really affirm it since we'll be dead by that time for sure. For now, let us appreciate Ethereum's success and make the most from it while it lasts.
