Of course it will last as long as crypto market still exist, as the matter of fact ethereum is one of the mos trusted and most reliable crypto currency in the market, so IMO there's no way it will gonna disappear, coz its not the same with other altcoins that don't have good team that can always fix some error or issues and can make good improvement just to make the project last. Ethereum is different bro don't insist that it will end up nothing like those altcoin that suddenly disappear in the market..
even bitcoin is being questioned if will last forever or now so what more for ethereum. this coin is secondary to bitcoin so this will all be depend on how the market and the people support this coin.

Its impossible because bitcoin growth rates is more faster than ethereum, probably we may see a situation that makes ethereum market cap higher than bitcoin but when it comes which has potential to skyrocket always between these two currency that should be bitcoin.. Indeed if ethereum always jump to the highest level probably it's now at the top because bitcoin always fluctuate when it makes a progress unlike ethereum. but as you can see bitcoin still the fastest crypto in the market wherein reason those competitors can't take over, for me ethereum is good only for long run not the same with bitcoin that even you short term there's a possibility you can obtain masive profits.

I don't think it will, after all there is new projects coming up to the surface everyday and they all offer many good things like ronin that is used by nft, why it was used by axie infinity because eth is not suitable for newer projects like games with nft which require fast transaction speed, eth is not suitable for many newer things like games, maybe if they decide to make eth faster and cheaper it could live longer but it seems eth is also slow in update.
that's why development will continue. the ethereum team should be able to figure out the market that has mostly moved to other networks. looks like this year ethereum is really getting hit by a new network.they can only provide long-term updates that are being done. although still in delay, I hope as you say. ethereum could give better hope for the future of crypto trading.

It has to be it since the ETH platform has taken their technology to the next level and they're planning to develop it, even more, advance to its current platform. Anyway, when the platform keeps developing and creating something which their competitor doesn't have, it will last longer because people will still use their platform as long as they will listen to some of their user's demands and requests.
because if a platform makes a mistake from the network system used then it is an opportunity for other platforms to get a chance.

the previous technology. That's what happens on computers and smartphones, new types always appear that have more sophisticated technology.

I think Ethereum will retain its place as the second largest digital currency by market cap after bitcoin. Bitcoin will remain being the leader of the crypto space.
Fun fact is the more new projects come in on daily basis the more the crypto space grows and this coins (bitcoin and Ethereum) are just way forward and I don't think anything can make it die for a thousand years to come. I see Ethereum as second. Some times fundamentals can just come in and change things though but as for the market cap I don't see that happen. Eth won't die it will keep producing more children underneath

For me yes Ethereum will remain forever as long as Vitalik reputation and passion is there.
It means not forever, man. Your statement implies that if Vitalik is no longer in Ethereum, it won't survive. I think you may be right about this? But how if Vitalik's son or another person who leads Ethereum platform? I think there is still a chance for Ethereum to survive, surely not lasts forever. What I mean, as long as there is someone as a leader in Ethereum platform, it still can survive longer. Nothing lasts forever as the saying goes. But ethereum's lifespan may live longer than its counterpart. We can't know its future, maybe after 20 years or so, there will be new technology, more sophisticated than eth network. So I don't think eth can last forever, it may innovate to adopt the changing environment. But just like others, it will also reach its end of life in this space.

Vitalik is just a human dude and it's not even a system that will be last forever as long as the main factor to make it still active. Vitalik can disappear anytime but it's not with the miners. As long as miners are still ative contributing to the network and it will still be alive. All of the nodes must be shut down to make ethereum die and it's quite impossible to make it happen as the nodes spread around the world. How do you do that? Ethereum will always stay here
