For me personally, it's hard to know. Will the SEC approve the ETF or not. But I have confidence, someday the SEC will definitely approve. And if the SEC agrees, I believe. That this, little or no, will definitely have a positive impact on the market. Because in my opinion, it will further widen the road, on the adoption process globally

If SEC will approve Bitcoin ETF, this might be a good sign for a bullish trend change.
Hopefully, there is no greater news to expect now than that one.
Otherwise, I'm afraid the long bearish period will continue for the next few months at least.
If the other way around, I think there will be no more dumping, the negative side has already effected the price in the past, particularly in 2018.
So, if there's a big changes, it should be the approval and if that will happen early, it would make the price to recover early as well.

If Sec accept Bitcoin ETF , we can expect the huge bull run for the market .
What do you think ? Will Sec accept bitcoin ETF ?
I think you don't know much about Crypto Currencies and what Crypto Currencies are, even if the Securities and Exchange Comission approves the Bitcoin ETF there is no assurance that Bitcoin will make a huge move or a bull run will occur because Crypto Currencies like Bitcoin are decentralize and no one or nobody controls it. Even if there are a lot of positive news about Bitcoin there will still no assurance that the price will rise and no one knows exeactly when will the price of Bitcoin rises again just like the huge move in 2017.

no, SEC will most probably reject this ETF and any new ETF in the near future for about a year or two and will not change their stance against bitcoin and its ETFs anytime soon.

and no even if they approve this ETF there will not be any "big" bull runs because you can not change the trend with a simple news. what you can do is that the news can speed up the process. for example now we are in a fixed trend of accumulation then soon after a small rise followed by testing of resistance. and then we have bull run if the resistance is broken.
what positive news can do at this point is that it can speed up the accumulation to reach its end and the "small" rise to begin.
I agree with you, I do think that the SEC will not accept any Bitcoin ETF's as long that there are manipulations that are happening which they have a solid grounds to oppose the approval of Bitcoin's ETF. Even if SEC approves or not approve the ETF proposals for Bitcoin, Bitcoin will still continue and just like the past 10 years of its existence.

Does anyone read the news?

It looks like most people writing on here don't understand a word of English so probably not.

However as above it's not a refusal. It's a withdrawal brought on by the shutdown. Looks like they've decided not to waste their time while things are as they are.

https://www.coindesk.com/cboe-withdraws-proposal-for-vaneck-solidx-bitcoin-etf

“We were engaged in discussions with the SEC about the bitcoin-related issues, custody, market manipulation, prices, and that had to stop. And so, instead of trying to slip through or something, we just had the application pulled and we will re-file when the SEC gets going again,”

I presume that means endless months of deferrals again before the eventual proper refusal.
Yep, I forgot to mentioned it though, so I do hope it's clear by now that this is not a outright refusal on SEC's part. Van Eck just withdraw it, so we don't know what will be the outcome, so we with to stay glued on this news again.

Does anyone read the news? Van Eck has already pulled out their application and withdrawn everything because of the ongoing partial shutdown of the US government.

Go to 11:00 minute mark and listen to Van Eck:

Take note that the withdrawal is just temporary. Its just that were going to need to wait for a while for it to be back

I may not agree on an immediate bullrun but the possibility is good. We all might have heard how many of our fellow investors suffered loses during those times when market was not so favorable. While bitcoin usage keeps increasing I think SEC will eventually accept such change so as to give better opportunities for bitcoin market.

I don't think SEC will approve Bitcoin ETF at this moment. Because Everybody does know that bitcoin is too much volatile, Even Bitcoin's price can't stand high for more than one month! I don't know why SEC rejected bitcoin every time, but Volatile can be a reason!
I think the statement has come out that the SEC rejected the Bitcoin ETF? forget SEC we can grow and spread not only from the help of SEC. I'm sure the community and market for bicoin and crypto will be even greater without the assistance of the SEC

But it doesn't mean that they won't file it again though, he just said he withdrawn because of the current drama in US government but he is still in contact with the regulators and trying to iron out everything to get themselves a higher chance of approval, eventually, so its not over yet.

Delaying  the approval means threadbare study of  the mechanism of the Bitcoin ETF  ,so it is hoped that approval is likely soon .

Probably sometime this will happen but definitely not in 2019, as it is still very early for the market to start rising again in price.

It seems to me that the adoption of bitcoin ETF will not be able to cause bull run. It has already been postponed so many times and it is not known when it will still be accepted. We can only wonder what will follow this acceptance.

As we see now for several reasons, it is impossible to make a Bitcoin ETF decision. The first reason is that the US government is now blocked and physically unable to review any projects. The second reason is that Gabor Gurbacs, VanEck's digital asset strategy director, said they temporarily withdrew their bid. And only after continuing negotiations with the SEC, they will provide a new proposal.
So for now, we just have to wait, and then, based on the general situation, it will be possible to conclude how the decision of the SEC will affect the price of crypto currencies.

There is a just a slim chance that Bitcoin ETF be approved. One of the reasons is the question of SEC about price manipulation. The SEC wants to know if price manipulation be controlled under the unregulated bitcoin ETF. And SEC believe that it is not possible for the current ETF proposal.
Yes only one but enough big objection is that bitcoin price is manipulated
SEC work is to protect customers and investors from fraud and manipulation
Like we everybody know bitcoin price is manipulated so SEC is simply doing his work
Bakkt is different thing but part of Bakkt needs to be aproved by CFTC
With shutdown it is impossible

But ETF gan give temporary pump big but temporary
After that bitcoin can be like virtual gold is now just yet another derivative owned by Wall Street

Official toast, baby. Van Eck have withdrawn their application.

Possibly the least surprising development in recent times. It's going to be a long, long, long time before there is a yes.

It will happen sooner or later. Right now this is all still new technology.  It reminds me back when Aol 2.0 came out.  One of the first internets I used with a 56k modem.
