There are no other coins that can beat the king bitcoins so far for 9 years and still counting so that means that they are gonna be the king of all time. But we all know that nothing last forever. I think it might happen in the future, if some cryptocurrency shows up which people finds better than bitcoin. But for now, I guess bitcoin is still the top cryptocurrency, people around the globe are aware of bitcoin nowadays, but they dont know any other cryptocurrency besides bitcoin, only those who are in the cryptocommunity are aware of these other cryptocurrencies. So in my opinion, bitcoin wouldnt be outdated by anyother cryptocurrency yet.
There is no bad in having altcoins, but mostly of them depend on bitcoin's price, I guess. Once the price of the bitcoin goes down, most of it also goes down. It's only my opinion, and I also think that aside of etherium, there is no other altcoins by now that is morr popular than bitcoin. I did not say that eth is not good, but having bitcoin this long just means it is more used by crypto users. In the future, I am thinking that bitcoin is still in the market leading the crypto currencies.

I agree on you, I did not see any currency that can compare or above bitcoin because as the years pass by it is well known all over the world. The success of bitcoin is incomparable with other currency because it doesn't fade in any moment although their are sometimes a low of price but yet it does'nt goes to outdated.
