Imagine u get paid like $3000 worth of bitcoins then the next day the $3000 worth of bitcoins dropped by a huge margin to $1000. U are essentially screwed.

imagine if it goes greater or doubled the value the next day, then its like winning lottery. We cant really tell the flow of bitcoin. If it will be salary then its good if you were not sustaining family education or foods, that you'll be able to save it, and cash it out when the price is at boom. It will depends on the income preferences of the users to whether keep it or cash it out.

I would not accept bitcoin as a salary as it is volatile. As a salary or as a fixed income every month i would like to have currency with fix value rather having bitcoin. I would have bitcoin as a subsidiary currency or as an investment.

Yes you are right. You do not need to keep all your assets in one coin. Now the course of bitcoin is very volatile and it is difficult to predict what will happen next.
I would agree to receive only 10% of salary in bitcoins

I am wiiling to accept bitcoin as my sallary since I'm already using it. Some employers in upwork have now the given option to pay their freelancers with BTC. But it should be depend on the tasker if he will accept it, so before he applies it is important to know first what kind of currency will be paid.

I would have agreed earlier. But now I have doubts. Everything is filled with the uncertainty that exists around the bitcoin. I would agree that 20% of the salary was in bitcoins

Yes and it will be very risky to accept your full salary in bitcoins as the price of bitcoin is volatile and even the future of bitcoin is uncertain so its good to have a part of salary in bitcoins and rest in fiat as those bitcoins can be saved for future and can sold when price goes higher.
That would be a great idea if somehow your company knows what bitcoins is but for the sake of the argument, I think it depends on the person. If you got your salary and you're still going to buy bitcoin, why not just immediately get it. The best thing to do is to see everytime that you're going to get your salary, you're going to be asked on what you want to have, how many percent of bitcoins will you receive.

Accepting full salary in bitcoins doesn't make any sense as for your daily needs you need fiat and for that you need to convert your bitcoins and what at the time of selling your bitcoins the price of bitcoin is too low? You still need to sell at lower price as you need money to take care of your expenses and that won't be profitable to sell at low price.

I'm seeing about a 50 50 ration of people saying they will accept their salary in BitCoin vs. not accepting their salary in BitCoin.

I for one already accept my salary in BitCoin, and have been for the past year or so.

Since then, the price has seedily increased over the year, which in essence... I've made good money for just accepting the risk

I think all you people who said they won't accept their salary in BitCoin, you need to ask yourself... Do you truly believe in BitCoin as being the future of currency. If you won't accept BitCoin as your salary, than you don't believe in BitCoin as the future.

I will never accept my salary in the form of bitcoins as the price of bitcoins keeps on moving up and down so it really makes it risky to accept salary in bitcoins as my income will depend on the price of bitcoins and I can never get fixed and stable income from it which makes it really risky.

You know that the bitcoin is not going steadily and steadily, so even if it's a good idea, it's not a good reason to be on the line. Because Bitcoin will never be in a steady rise or steady state.

You could have tried. Only I'm afraid that my salary will not be enough even for one bitcoin. True bitcoin is constantly growing in price and it would be nice to collect money.
