What do you mean by "insists you to stop gambling"? Like demand - in a domineering way? Well, I have never had any girl do this and most probably will not. I think this only happens either when the guy loses control over his gambling habits or the girl just wants him to give her more attention. I think it is logical for your girlfriend to ask you to stop gambling because you are currently struggling with finances and yet find time and budget to spend on gambling activity. It would be a waste of resources if you lose in your gambling session but of course, would be a blessing if you win. But gambling result is uncertain and women don't like uncertainties.

Sure, I will and I would. I don't have a girlfriend anymore, but a wife and I try to do right by her. If She wanted me to quit something, she would've explained the reasons behind it. It wouldn't be an empty request, just as we don't make empty promises to each other.

this is something that all men should do because our girlfriend shouldn't tell us to stop doing things that don't hurt her at all. I'm sure only 20% of men (especially gambling lovers) will quit when their girlfriend tells them to do that.

Sometimes it is best to listed to her. Although it depends on her reasons. If she can give me a reason to stop or she notices i am becoming gradually addicted i will gladly follow her advice. One thing i came to understand about a girl that loves you is that what ever affects you affects her so she tries hard not to see you in danger so you both don't get hurt at the same time.
