LOL I really wasn't aware of the team versus team competition, and I wasn't sure what they were competing against neither, now I know its wagering. So, it will be 16 people all together wagering together versus 16 other people, that is really awesome. However this is basically a tourney, to prevent from people thinking this is a competition like the previous ones where you just get in for free and gamble however much you want and end up with getting free money if you wager a lot.

This one is clearly different because you spend money to join, you pay 0.0001 to get in and only after that you will be able to actually play, plus on this one you could also lose, unlike the other one where you wager and get something, even if its low you will. So this is a competition, but not against the house, it is versus others, so you gotta pay up this time.

It's been always a question for me, whether they are wagering so much for the contest, or they are just high rollers always wagering big amounts. From the perspective of profitability it's irrational to wager 47.9 BTC, like lordpadel here

in order to win 0.012 BTC as a prize, because you are likely to lose 0.47 BTC along the way. So, I'm inclined to believe that they are not doing it for the contest, but rather high rollers doing it on a regular basis.

@betwrong you’re absolutely correct as he’s indeed playing big just for fun sakes, and now I’m totally convinced that big players do come and play at Windice regularly (mostly in contests though).
Well, I remember the early days and I can promise you that early ones were all because of the competition and not because they were gambling anyway. I have seen casinos like that, winner having 387 btc wagering while the second had like 2, so obviously that dude didn't wagered because if competition at all.

However remember the times when rodolman was playing and so forth, those days were basically for pure competition because same person won with 4, with 10, with 33 and so forth (I am making up the numbers because I can't remember them exactly), which means dude just aimed at being the top wagering without spending too much, just enough to be first. However obviously that could change with time, maybe it is not like that anymore, but I can tell you it was like that back in the day.

They also have an impressive amount of regular players, more than one might conclude from looking at how many players online each time.

I just conducted a little research, and it appears that, although there are 150-170 players online most of the time, more than 2,800 unique players wagered over 119 sats withing the last 38 hours:

and more than 500 unique players wagered over 12k sats

during the same period of time.

Congrats, WD! Wish you to reach 500 million soon! Smiley

I wasn’t aware that Windice was getting whales who wager huge amounts, as we often see whales at Bitdice and if that’s what you’re comparing between these two sites then I’m really happy for Windice. @janggernaut in my personal opinion if people can’t wager 10 Satoshi's per bet then they should quit gambling for a while, and focus on saving more funds before they resume gambling again as playing on a slow site will be very boring.
Yeah, windice has always had whales, look at the previous competitions they had, literally broke over 30 btc wagered in few days by some people, which shows you they are here. I am not saying they wager that much all the time, they only wager that much for competition so they can be first, however that basically shows you that those people exists and here, so even if they do not wager that much outside of competitions, they must be still wagering more than a smaller gambler.

However that doesn't mean there aren't people who wager low as well. So, windice is inclusive about the gamblers they have, they have big whales but they have smaller fish, they welcome all amounts of people. Hence why I think 10 million bets on windice means it is still a decent sizable wagered amount.

I’ll agree with @joksim299 as this is indeed a nice milestone to achieve, and who knows we see Windice cross the billion mark in Q3 of the year itself.

The thing is, between the corona virus and the lockdown, plus windice getting 1 second per bet type of results, and there are new things going on everyday, it is actually quite getting bigger as well. I was saying maybe removing the competitions of the old (where they were giving out 0.2 btc and not 0.02 btc) would actually hurt their marketing but I think they already did what they wanted to do with those competitions, put their name on the map and nowadays they just need to do stuff to keep people interesting, otherwise they are no longer required to get their names heard anymore, everyone knows windice, they either play here already or they do not play here but they know it exists, so that part of marketing is obviously done. Now only thing left is move the casino to a new level higher from here.

I myself prefer betting with lower amounts, but 10 sats as the minimum bet seems acceptable. Also, since I like manual betting, the speed, 1 roll per second,  is good enough for me. I visited the site today, after 3 weeks of absence, checked the speed for betting with the minimum amount possible, and it was exactly 1 roll per second:

Currently don't have a good balance, otherwise I'd join one of these teams

i never betting with 10 sats or lower than that with manually, i always use automatic bet or dice bot if i want to start with smallest base bet (ussually i used high % afterlose or high multipler if my bet lose, so i will recover faster and ended up with profit). But i don't too like with the betting speed 1 bet/1sec, since i've tried many sites which have faster betting speed.

It is indeed awesome but more important thing is about the amount wagered imho. Having less number of bets but higher wagered amount is absolutely better than having millions or even billions bet but the wagered amount is low.
Compared to the most popular dice sites it looks low but I think their stats looks okay since they don't accept bets lower than 10 satoshi. Also their estimated weekly wagered amount seems to be on par with bitdice if you compare their numbers on dicesites.

nowadays it's already a normal thing too see from a gambling site which allows you to bet with min 10 sats. If you still want to bet lower than 10 sats (in other gambling site which still have it), it will make you stress since you need to wait the roll very very slow (even if you're using a bot )

If we had some other data that we could compare, we would compare them but they are not sharing any of those information with us. There is still a bit to move to be at the top, but for a place with just one year or so existence it is great.
The closest one you could use as an estimate for their wagered amount is the stat page. We might not get the exact numbers but it's still good enough since there's not that many players.

We can't know that number at all, it is a secret to us and usually not shared unless a casino is an investment casino in which case investors do know what is going on. All casinos like to share the bet number and not wagered number because that is a secret, so all we can compare the casinos with is the number of bets done, and right now windice is going high as much as some other huge names, which I don't know the amount wagered so I can't talk about that but it shows the number of bets is reaching the best of the best.

Hello,

imo there is a bug using the browser brave with your site. The site doen't Show properly, because everything looks black after entering the site. Is it just me with these Kind of Problems? All other Browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera) work fine.

Open the brave shield and send a screenshot here or PM, please
We checked the standard settings on the desktop version and we have no problem with it

Hi, I also experiencing that kind of weird issue using Brave browser, even in some websites, not only windice.io.
Have you tried to turn off the shield of Brave browser? I think that will help to you. Especially when you are using a mobile phone, you should try to turn off the shield feature of Brave.
