How much do i need to start trading altcoins. I would like to know what would be the ideal number.

Thanks!

I think the ideal amount to start trading is, the amount which doesn't bring you crysis in a case of loss. If you want to be a good trader, you should be ready for any kind of loss.

Imo more important is to find the right project on which  to invest. Don't be in hurry and  choose carefully, there are still many possibilities to have a x5 or x10 gain. A few years ago I started with 200 Euro, more or less. Good luck!

I think more is more because it can get a bigger profit.
if you want to trade then invest with a definite altcoin, do not invest in an uncertain altcoin to avoid loss.

As many people mentioned, the most important matter is to start with an amount that you can handle. Do NOT sell houses/cars/stuff or get a big loan and put it into trading (at least not when you're an amateur).

Trading is supposed to upgrade your quality of life, not to give you a heart attack every now and then!  Cheesy

For best results it is best to invest as much as you can, because of faster high returns.
But in reality at start you will probably trade worse than you would, so risk of a bad investment is greater.
As guys recommended you, invest only you can afford to lose.

If you are not experienced, it shouldn't be for example $50.000 for sure. It depends on your wealth and experience.

Different amounts for everyone, if you can invest $ 500, then this is the amount you are going to use to start your trading career, but if you can use more money and you are confident in your abilities, then use more money, this will help you in term perspective.
$500 is a lot.
I am only stating that because most people that trade coins like to set a minimum of 0.0001 BTC or close to that amount.

How much extra money do you have? You answer would be the answer to your own question. There is no standard amount here. It only depends on you if how much can invest. Coins are dropping today, take this opportunity to buy them while they are cheap. You also have to consider the exchange and transaction fees, count them as part of your investment.

Always start with the amount you can afford to lose. For a newbie it always should be something about something in between $500.

Theres no required amount to start trading in exchanges, but you need to know that tx fee requires 500+ satoshis so a decent amount would be $500.

Just invest what you can afford to lose. Do not trade all your money, since youre new to trading, it would be difficult for you to anticipate the price. Just start with a small amount and learn with every successful trade that you have, there would be times that you lose but i'm sure you will learn as time goes by. If I were to give an optimal amount, I guess 0.1 ETH is a good investment.

Why are you all suggesting him to start with less than $1000? it is not worth it guys! Just stop lying to him, it is a waste of time to start with less than five thousand dollars, you can easily be stuck in there for more than months without making any profit.

How much do you have? That will determine your good start as long as there is a good project which is suitable for the price you had. In other words ideal budget is always depends on the price you are holding on and the project that you will be joining.

As a newbie in the cryptocurrency world I would advise you to start low, as u are still new and without much experience. Don't invest an amount you are not willing to lose.
Actually, yes. You have to invest a small amount of money in order to gain experience and understand all the subtleties of the cryptocurrency market.

For me a more suitable question is that how much time i am willing to invest before i figure how much money i will be putting into crypto world. Just in case you do not know yet cryptocurrency have a very volatile market one day youre up the next day you're down. If you will give lots of time to research for you to have lots of information before diving into industry you are more likely to benefit the volatility of this industry instead losing money. And i think this rule is applicable whatever investment you will be starting to.

Start with any number that you are comfortable enough. I like to do it this way - spread out your funds accross multiple wallets, no point keeping all of your eggs in a single bucket. Then, invest in coins that you are super comfortable with like Eth, Zcash, Monero etc. No coin will be stable and safe, but going with the popular ones first will always be a safe route.

Once you are done with that, look for ICOs or coins that are cheap now but has a big chance to grow in the future - buy small quantities of those and keep it safe for a few year.

So, to answer your question - start with any amount, take a safer route and spend as much as you can afford to lose,

thanks,
