Does anyone know if more women are joining the Bitcoin bandwagon? I mean, the industry has always been dominated by men. But with BTC hitting the spotlight again due to a new ATH, things could change. Is there some sort of statistics/data/analytics regarding gender adoption of BTC? I'm curious to know.

By the way, I'd like to know what do women find attractive in Bitcoin (compared to men)?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

For real women are not that into Bitcoin, but what i feel the reason would be is their nature as female, since they have to take care of the family, and it's not an easy task, even if you have workers, you still have to direct them on what to do, it need a lot of attention, time also distractions are involved to have a perfect family, and in Bitcoin you have to  fully concentrate both in learning and investment because little distraction can lead you to loosing your investment or mistake that can cause any other terrible thing like forgetting your seed phrase or misplacing it e.t.c.

There are many women in various parts of the world who are currently have following the trend of investing in bitcoin or cryptocurrency. The exact number may not be known for certain - but what is clear is that centralized exchanges must have quite a lot of data considering the KYC documents of their customers. If there was an analysis of data about the number of women involved in bitcoin investment - then maybe we would be amazed by the facts, but I am sure whatever number we know now is not accurate.

As we all know, Bitcoin has always been seen a high risk investment, that's why it’s not surprising that men who tend to be more risk-tolerant, dominate the space. However, there are also women with significant involvement in the bitcoin world and we can assume they are holdign as well.

here are the top 50 list published from this website

THE TOP 50 MOST INFLUENTIAL FEMALES IN CRYPTO

I would prefer if you have made use of the word risk investment than saying high risk investment because your choice of words can even make some newbies to be more skeptical about Bitcoin, no doubt that Bitcoin investment has risk attachment making it not different from other investments but at some point it is not as risky as most person may see it perhaps it has proven itself worthy enough to invest in historically. However I quite agree with you men tend to have more risk tolerance absorbed than women even though most women never encouraged gender inequality of any form hence, they find themselves doing more better whatever a man seems to be doing that is to say even when men seem to be a risk bearer there are also women that tend to do even more.

Does it really matter what the gender (or anything else like skin, hair or eye color) people involved in bitcoin are?  It is like wondering if "more women are going the math bandwagon" or using hammers.  People are people and use things as tools and as makes sense to them.

There are many successful businesswomen out there. I'm sure, these women will adopt Bitcoin for their own benefit. For instance, Lightning Labs co-founder and CEO Elizabeth Starks is a woman involved in Bitcoin. Slowly but surely, the gender gap will be reduced to a minimum. We just need to be patient. All things need the "woman's touch". Am I right?

I agree on the part that many successful women have been heading or somehow leading a company. I would like to only know the names of women entrepreneurs who created and developed a company all by themselves or who were innovators who achieved success by employing thousands of employees for their own company.

Based on my understanding, many women are employed by large organizations that are predominantly run by men. If they are not working for these organizations, they often inherit family businesses. However, there are notable exceptions, such as the founders of Bumble and Canva, among others that I can't recall at the moment. If you could provide me with a list of women who have started their own businesses, I would be more inclined to agree with your perspective.

Women often do not engage with investing unless guided by a man in their lives, such as a father or partner, who shows them the steps to secure their financial future. Therefore, if a woman has invested in Bitcoin or altcoins, it is often due to the influence of these males encouraging her to invest in cryptocurrencies.

Maybe the developers should design a special coin that they would call Women's BTC so that they might be more interested? I don't know if you're aware that women (still) have much more responsibilities than men when it comes to housework and childcare, and if they also have a job and a career, then they don't really have much time to look for risky investments online, right?
Therefore, women are neither skeptics, nor is the problem that they are not interested in new technologies, they are simply busy with (most) other things in life.

Well that makes sense...but what about young women? Especially those within 18 - 20 years of age. They don't have as much responsibilities as older women do. But I could be wrong. No matter how you see it, change is inevitable. We're advancing towards a full-fledged digital society. So future generations will already be used to making digital payments. I'm certain more women will join the Bitcoin bandwagon. Just you wait and see.

I don't think we can talk about women in general, given that in different societies women don't have equal rights or priorities in life. While in the West women have mostly become equal to men in many ways, in some other countries "women" get married very young, by the time they reach 20 years old they already have at least 1-2 children and are usually housewives who may not even have access to the internet.

In addition, if you ever had the opportunity to listen to what girls talk about in the years you mention, then you could notice that they mostly talk about boys, love, fashion and similar things - and considering that women are by nature more cautious and often play it safe, maybe in all this is the reason why men are dominant when it comes to investing in Bitcoin.

I did not find accurate statistics that say that the percentage of women is increasing in Bitcoin.
In some cases women prefer a collection of jewelry so they are more focused on chasing it, but that does not mean that the assumption makes women not involved in bitcoin.
I pay attention to women around and most of them prefer to use gold rather than buying something like Bitcoin.
There are still some women involved in Bitcoin although gradually the interest of women to recognize and try to invest in bitcoin is increasing.
There are even traders that I see on women's social media and they have made videos about trading procedures correctly.

Yes, it is true that Elizabeth Starks, the co-founder and CEO of Lighting Lapse, is a woman involved in Bitcoin. I think there is no need to define any gender to use Bitcoin because Bitcoin is not such that only boys can use it and girls cannot use it. There is no restriction for using Bitcoin that anyone can own Bitcoin, there is no discrimination here and there will never be in the future. The way the modern world is moving forward, there will be no manual use of currency, the girls of the current era are fairly aware of these and in the future they will be better aware of them and they will use them. This is natural because we must move forward with the times.

Although many people will comment on this issue, the important thing here is that in the future of the modern world, women will also come forward along with boys in this world of cryptocurrency. It has started naturally and it will continue to increase day by day.

Well that makes sense...but what about young women? Especially those within 18 - 20 years of age. They don't have as much responsibilities as older women do. But I could be wrong. If you ask me to talk about young women between the ages of 15 and 20, I would say they are usually in their prime. They have nothing to do at this time except studying and gaming. If they try to learn something or do something now, they can do it. Many people can learn something related to cryptocurrency in this too. And now there is no specific teacher needed to learn about this cryptocurrency, it has become much easier, just if they can browse the internet, they can find and learn many types of information from here.

As we said, these can be done in general, but in the case of girls, there are different types of registrations, for example, in a family, girls always have to grow up within a boundary, from there it can be seen that women cannot do many things. If they can get out of this boundary, then maybe they can do something and if they cannot get out of the boundary, they will not know about the modern world and will not be able to learn. However, I think that the way the modern world is moving forward, women should also come forward here, they should also learn. I don't know how anyone will see things, I think things are like this.

Everyone irrespective of your gender likes money and I believe privacy is one thing everyone wants which is what bitcoin primarily offers and I believe the sole purpose of most people especially early adopters of bitcoin is privacy but I think currently, especially for the new adopters, the goal of privacy isn’t paramount as everyone is now focused on making some cool profits and I believe that’s one thing that would drag most people into the industry and not just women.

Investment is a male-dominated space, it is rare to find women discussing investing in property or Bitcoin except for gold. I do not understand your fixation on finding out which gender is involved in trading or investing in Bitcoin. I am not assuming here but I am certain that independent women are least interested in Bitcoin as of now but the future will change.

I think it was in the early time of bitcoin it was dominated by men but right now women I so much interested in bitcoin. Bitcoin is well currency known like just every other traditional currencies, everyone are aware of the worth of bitcoin, the value of bitcoin is making people to have more interest for bitcoin.

Though men still dominate the bitcoin industry but it is not as if we only have few women in the industry too. Women are seeing bitcoin very interesting and are also considering it as good investment but the numbers so far can't be compare with that of the number of men.

Bitcoin does not exist in a physical form and lacks the shine or shimmer that might attract some women. As a digital product, it is primarily appealing to those women who understand or are involved with digital goods.

I’m trying really hard not to view the thread as,
Do women use money? Do they do transactions using there mobile device or internet enabled devices or do they invest online?

Well, women can do just whatever they put themselves to. They don’t need men’s validation to do that. Feeling validation is what leads to limitation. Although, I kind of understand that there would be always roles that are better suited for men and a lot of men do come up to the mainstream in risk taking and discoveries than women but, surely some women dare to play along with men.

So yeah, even without any statistics to prove, women do form a significant part of the Bitcoin populace. We do have some great women in our midst on the forum as well and most of them are doing so well, you’ll begin to wonder if they are indeed women.

I am trying to convince a few of my friends to try investing in bitcoin. It will happen soon for them because I have made progressed since I started talking to them about it. It was first difficult to convince them that bitcoin was not a scam or fake, now the next hurdle is to get them to invest in it.
By the way, I'd like to know what do women find attractive in Bitcoin (compared to men)?
We are still interested in financial independence as much as men are, just some women are interested in financial independence the wrong way by wanting to depend on a man. There is reawakening, women are more interested in being assets to their partners now that can provide in some way to the family than just liabilities as we are seen in some sides of the world.

Please check

Generally for cryptocurrency, it's 70% male in 2024.[1] More females join Bitcoin and cryptocurrency market with time.

At least, BTC is getting easier to use thanks to improvements on the UI. It won't be long enough before the gender gap becomes history. I've noticed that women are more attracted to men who are Bitcoiners, than those who not. So if you're one of those men holding substantial amounts of BTC, you will get lucky. Time will tell us how women will react towards BTC as it becomes more popular and widely used worldwide. Cheesy

Opening a Bitcoin wallet or account on an exchange usually doesn't have any guidelines that say only a man or a woman can hold an account. A boy or girl can use bitcoins or conduct other activities after verifying the account with a copy of their important documents, usually in the case of exchanges. As there are boy investors there must be girl investors who regularly invest in Bitcoin. But I think the number of female investors is relatively less than that of male investors.

I can't say for this forum since you can't know if the person behind an acoount is a she or he but some people claim to be female, one can't tell but outside the crypto space, there are a lot of women. I can't say they are a bit of them in Bitcoin because it might look so expensive for them to buy but there are many of them outside crypto, as in they love altcoins and aidrop as that's the best way they can kick start their journey here with Bitcoin.

You know that women are feminine and doesn't has the mind to take risk like we men, I'm not sure in most of the Bitcoin conference Bitcoin I have watch so far, I have seen any women or lady as a developer. Even in other crypto summit, they don't work as developers but they have their own special roles in marketing and others but you wouldn't see them doing any technical skills. Do we even have much of computer science and engineers, that should be the first question.

Have you looked for the answer using a search engine perhaps? It's as if someone here has access to some secret data and is going to share it with all of us and as if it even matters whether women or men use BTC more. There are many women who are involved in cryptocurrencies as company owners, but few of them have promoted themselves in such a way that they are world famous - and even most of those who invest in BTC do not know who Saylor is, and the man has been in the media for years.

Women or men, black or white, rich or poor - everyone is important and everyone is welcome to join - I honestly don't care what the ratio of women to men is because it is completely irrelevant.

In my personal life or women in general? I knew people that were joining in 2017, but i haven't talked anyone about cryptos since that. I sometimes heard from them and they seem to still either be on board or they have moved to altcoins. They seemed to value same things as men in bitcoin.

But i avoid making a conversation about bitcoin, so i don't have a full picture. Main reason being my safety, another one is the fact that i am so tired of debating anyone new or giving advices to newbies. I have heard all the weird beliefs and misconceptions, and i am tired to both hostility and greed. I could help them with their self custody of bitcoins, but i am not fond of the responsibility of that either. So i keep my distance.

Not a bad position at all.
Hostility and greediness towards BTC or any asset, in fact, is not a thing that moves a person forward - it propels downwards because everybody sees through it if they are familiar with it in their lives.
