I am sure there are some women who are into cryptocurrency although I am not sure how many women are into cryptocurrency. If you make it into percentage then I think there won't be a lot of women who owns cryptocurrency because I think it's mostly men but I know that since before, it's always men who are much more willing to risk their own money for a chance of profit. My sister is also in cryptocurrency when I taught here everything I know so I know that there are other people who also did the same thing especially the hype (new ATH) at this time.

Does anyone know if more women are joining the Bitcoin bandwagon? I mean, the industry has always been dominated by men. But with BTC hitting the spotlight again due to a new ATH, things could change. Is there some sort of statistics/data/analytics regarding the gender adoption of BTC? I'm curious to know.

By the way, I'd like to know what do women find attractive in Bitcoin (compared to men)?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
One of the ways to know that Bitcoin is getting adopted by women is how they are now involved in the mainstream advertising of Bitcoin services, such as exchange and other local Bitcoin vendors and services, I have seen an app that is popular within my country, which offers Cross borders payment services through Bitcoin, USDT, and p2p to most African countries, and lately, there have started a new wave of advertising and this time a lot of women are being used to promote the platform, and most of their messages are how women can earn a living through Bitcoin and also encouraging Bitcoin trading, so all of that is a lot of pointer to women adoptions of Bitcoin, and showcase how women have changed from the previous bad stereotyped image they heard about Bitcoin.

If you check Bitcoin adoptions throughout this year, men have been on the leading line in cryptocurrency adoptions and usage, and for that, we have faced a lot of resistance from the women forks, who are so skeptical about Bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency industry entirely, but now things are changing and we are beginning to see more women adoptions and improved motivation to engage in Bitcoin-related services.

Women interested in Bitcoin or crypto in general are increasing from year to year and we know for sure that it happens because Bitcoin is getting more famous and also women who see good opportunities when involved in the Bitcoin world such as becoming investors but as a miner I think it will still be dominated by men.
According to this article, women who invest are dominated by young women, I think it's because they are more receptive to change and curious to try something new.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/women-in-crypto-an-overview

That's exactly what I would expect because the world is changing and even the bridge that separates a man and a woman is virtually no more so I would expect more women to dive in to the moving trend financially, socially, economically and almost in every area, I mean if a woman has breached that barrier of actually being world leader what do you expect in the crypto space and specifically events so wild like Bitcoin which tend to cause waves of news especially now that a new ATH is achieved.

It is needless to say whether there is discrimination against women in the use of Bitcoin, but nowadays some women are seen using Bitcoin as well as men. Since women are now participating alongside men in all areas of employment why should Bitcoin be lagging behind?
But it has to be said that women will be less in number when it comes to Bitcoin usage than men. But in countries that have legalized or approved the use of Bitcoin, women are participating on an equal footing compared to men. Various course-based academy programs on Bitcoin in El Salvador have seen a large participation of men as well as women.

What came to mind when I saw this thread was "What's even the percentage of wealthy women globally? If we run through the list of world's richest persons in the world, we know at what point to find women. My comment above is analogous to "women using Bitcoin". Like I've constantly maintained that women aren't risk takers as much as men. Investment in Bitcoin or cryptos is seen as risky and as such we shouldn't expect women that much. I ain't surprised with what figure we're getting of women involvement in it.

I haven’t known or come across a lot of women that have found interest in bitcoin. The least that I saw was those that find themselves participating in airdrops which I won’t classify as being part of the bitcoin system already. Women tend to avoid high risk investments and prefer to get free money than men will go for risky investments. Women are very much not seen in a more risky investment and only few may be found there who maybe think like men or trying to be a more independent person. In many years to come, even as bitcoin is making a new all time high at every bitcoin cycle, I don’t still think we may see 20% of women in this space in a decade to come.

Estimates vary, but it seems like in general, there are twice as many men in crypto as there are women. That still means that around a third of crypto investors are women (some data shows less, other data shows more), which is fairly high. Of course, only data on some countries and audiences is out there, so it's hard to say how representative it is of the global situation (although this website claims it's 37% globally, and that women are indeed getting more into cryptos, while their source even says it's currently at 39%).

Their is nothing that gets me more attracted than seen a woman into crypto because we know how only few girls show concern for things like this they always prefer to maybe do fashion or do something that is in line with their personality and getting an accurate data of who invests more is going to be difficult to know But in my own speculation I know that the men are more than women in this industry because the kind of nature that man possess women are more of mothers and support but men are built for hustle so their is actually a very big difference in personality and that is what is going to influence everything.

And another thing is that I think women also need more encouragement to actually invest so that they will build their self either by holding of they are trading, because in my own region you only see very few women who are interested just that this few days when airdrops are popping out it is actually making things very easy for them
To get interested because almost everyone were doing tap tap so it is very intresting see them swapping and send out their assets to sell and some holding.

And if eventually I get married their is no way that I won't get my entire family involved in bitcoin both my wife and my kids I will bring them up to be independent in the crypto space and I make sure the kids start early even if they are not trading.

It is obvious that more and more women are jumping to the bandwagon.  the link presented by the earlier replies gives support to that.

It was said that women get into Bitcoin to take advantage of the opportunity of making profit.  Aside from that, some women wanted to try new things and they find cryptocurrency interesting, while others who get into cryptocurrency is because someone introduce it to them.  According to this article: https://bdc.consulting/insights/cryptocurrency/bitcoin-under-female-thumb-global-study-women-cryptosphere

Here are the reason why women get involved in cryptocurrency:

Without going over statistics, I also believe men are more interested with Bitcoin than women.

When people are talking about investment, most women will discuss about time deposit and debt securities, you know the lowest risk investment. While men, it's really varies, they can discuss from the lowest risk to highest risk investment.

In crypto, most women are work as a brand ambassador, but the other thing are dominated by men.

Bitcoin is not gender based but I lately noticed that men are very numerous and influential in Bitcoin.Men are very creative and vibrant with this cryptocurrency.Inasmuch as the statistics of Bitcoin participants, I'm quite unsure about it,but at some point, the men of Bitcoin are possibly working and intentional about their efforts.

Although we don't know the real statistic about how many women are joining in Bitcoin, I am sure that increase than a few years ago especially with what happen to Bitcoin. Maybe we can get the data from the internet but I am not sure if that number is the real number for those women who joined in Bitcoin.

Maybe there is more number that we don't know because we need to input all from the worldwide. So we need to collect all data from all countries and record it.

The investing is a thing that attract women to join in Bitcoin. Usually, women like to saving their money in many things such as gold but if they know Bitcoin and how it works, maybe they will invest in Bitcoin.

Anyone can use it and I have no accurate evidence, and in the crypto world or those who use Bitcoin, of course the number of women is less than men. However, it does not mean that there are none at all and there will definitely be women who use it, especially women who are forward-thinking and like new technology, who can easily understand and know Bitcoin well enough to get involved, but most of them do it with careful consideration because women are more risk-averse especially those who are married.
And if I see it in real terms with people I know because I have a crypto or Bitcoin user group, specifically for people around me and there are some people who are far away, even then they can only enter because of some group admins. And I see there are many women in it but most of them are still single and there are still more men, and Bitcoin is a freedom that I think over time there will be more female users but it will not exceed the number of men.

Definitely, I know a lot of women who invest in Bitcoin, and also work in crypto industry. I never think that all investment, Bitcoin included, is related to gender. Men and women have the same opportunity thus make both men and women will have the same interest toward investment, I mean who doesn't want to gain financially. I dare to say that the percentage may close to 50:50 between men and women on Bitcoin and crypto industry, or at least 40-60 in favor of men, but still, Bitcoin is genderless, anyone can join.

Men that are using bitcoin are much than women that are using bitcoin, because men have the mind to take any kind of risk to make income, but it will be difficult for women to embark on such risk because they have the spirit of fear which is the reason they are afraid to have access to bitcoin, men are plenty in the industry because bitcoin is their source of income and they are ready to invest huge amount of funds on bitcoin because they know what they are going to achieve when the price increase double.

We know that men has more interest in the crypto market but I believe that the number of women who has pick interest of investing into Bitcoin has increased over the year if being compared to numbers that we had about four to eight years ago. What I think has interest woman to develop interest in crypto is not different from the  same interest with me. First is to make profit and second is a less hassle investment, no stress and many more pretty reason.

women are not good at taking risk and I guess because of that, the ratio of women in the crypto space is still relatively small compared to the male counterpart. usage of bitcoin is a totally different thing and even though there might be a handful of them that might have made use of bitcoin at some point in time, you can't really see them being actively involved in bitcoin related conversation and their number on the forum clearly shows it more evidently.

even without doing any serious research, its normal to observe that any technical niche you will normally think of always lack women maybe because they are not wired that way. the fact that bitcoin is an all-inclusive currency doesn't mean that users across the gender cycle views it potential the same way. women are very calculated of how much they will want to be exposed to risk most especially as it relates to the issue that's bothering on finance.

I don't have any statistics of women into bitcoin and I believe that it will be hard to compile such information because bitcoin is used anonymously. However, my elder sister is into bitcoin after I introduced her to it and she accepts bitcoin in her business. She is an investor and intend to hodli for long. She said that she loves the fact that nobody knows if she is investing or not, unlike shares and keeping money in the bank that will be noticable. Secondly, that she can convert it to cash whenever she wants without any delay or use it to purchase goods from her customer oversea without paying any extra fee.

Women are not joining the Bitcoin thing, only smart women are getting involved with Bitcoin. The Bitcoin trend if they come together and talk about it, the percentage will slowly increase. That's why Bitcoin needs people who are willing to explain the advantages and benefits of Bitcoin even though the risks need to be explained.
Data, statistics on Bitcoin adoption by gender, I don't really care though some can show links.

Gender discrimination, OP? What kind of statistics are these that are supposed to indicate the number of women interested in bitcoin? How can you know such a figure exactly? How can you even compile it? Do you specify gender when creating a wallet? Women are not inferior to men these days, not to mention that in some countries it is becoming very fashionable to change gender to the opposite. Can you identify those moments in which it is not typical for a woman to learn something new, invest, or even run her own business? What can a man see and understand that a woman cannot? If understanding bitcoin investments is very difficult for you, then are you really who you say you are, based on your question?
