I tried to do it a few years ago but struggled. New culture and different standards in food is very difficult to get used too. Then when you don't see your family for a very long time you start to miss them. It was my dream job too and what others would consider a holiday destination. But it just wasn't right for me and I ended up moving back home in 2 years

Yes it is true because we are far from family, away from parents or away from children,
But it is this that makes us become eager in trying to meet the needs of families and to mencujutkan ideals of a child, even though we slam bones for a bite of rice, may our sacrifices are not in vain.

I studied abroad for several years and technically "moved out" of my parents house right after high school. The homesickness that hit me a few months after I left caused me to spiral into a pretty bad depression at the time.

It's been several years since then and I'm now stationed abroad but my entire family is still back in my home country, and let me tell you... the homesickness never really leaves. You just learn to cope with it better as time goes on.

It's a sacrifice since you'd have to deal with homesickness (which can lead to depression) not to mention having to work on a small budget.

Working abroad is a lot of sacrifice. One needs to study the language and culture of the country he is working so that he could easily adjust and could communicate well with the countrymen. Having a strong heart, mind and determination is necessary also. For living without your family or love ones is so hard. So make sure you are ready if you'll work abroad.

Working abroad is not one of the best solution available but, unfortunately there are some situations when there is no other choice, I can on;ly imagine how hard it is to go in an other country without knowing people or even worst, not knowing the language.

These things used to be an issue in the past, but now the world is smaller thanks to the spread of internet and telecommunication. Now there is a lot of information about the language and culture of a particular country easily available to the potential immigrants. They even have the option of learning the language through online courses.

For the sake of earning enough to provide for your family, it is really a lot of courage to take to work thousand miles away from home. My family has a members who usually go abroad. And it's hard for us especially at times when we need them beside us, yet they can't.

Personally... I will rather stay at home and develop my country. There is no way you can ever be seen as a first class citizen in another man's land

I have a deep respect to diligent individuals who sacrifice themselves in working on foreign lands
just to support their families and fulfill their dreams. It isn't easy, I can only imagine the emotional
strain and struggle one has to deal with away from loved ones. Some people see it as a form of
salvation to seek greener pastures to prosper and succeed in life. Hopefully it's all for the best.

Let me explain it through a story:
I have a friend and my I called him as my big brother, he has a wife and one son, he decided to work abroad. He loves his wife and his wife also love him, while he was working in abroad the problem appear from little until it grows. His wife became unfaithful to him and sleep with other guy. When he return and noticed the unfaithfulness of his wife they got separated and their life were ruined.

This is the major problem are facing majority of the family after the father or mother worked abroad.

I agree, You will also feel the importance of your family's presence when you are alone in other country working. The sacrifice of being away from them just to give them a better life is one of the way to show them how much we love them. Sadly, there are family members who also take advantage of the person who is working abroad. My prayer is that all of the people can stay in their own country with better opportunities so that they don't have to leave their families. Its not always about the money we can give but also our presence and time to bond with them.

I agree with you, Going to abroad is not really easy especially to those OFW, because they are separate to their families, but we have to do this because they have a Dreams to their families.

I think working abroad is a great sacrifice.

Because you're alone in a different country.

Different people work.

And away from home

That's true, working abroad is a big sacrifice. Theirs a time that you have to left you're children to go abroad to provide their needs.

Those who work abroad are compensated for that in the form of increased wages and benefits. They are not offering their services for free, and no one is forcing them to work abroad. So I would never say that they are indulging in any form of sacrifice. The real sacrifice is done by those soldiers and paramilitary people, who are stationed in the most remote corners of the earth.
