My worst mistake was just buying it. Glad I currently own none, only 'alts'

Really? you regret buying btc?  I assume you must bought btc in its peak prices like $1000, in this case i would not be surprised.
but what 'alts' you trust more that btc? , I have never seen an alt with less volatile market than bitcoin

Well done many damn mistakes and lost about 500$ worth bitcoins in 2 years... recent worst of all is the investment in HYIP and loosing Sad. learnt my lesson

I started bitcoin with something like this.

It was a beautiful site named something like "grow your btc" with multiple investment plans and a rather well done serious speech on the homepage explaining how it worked and all...

I think I invested something like a whole btc in that shit! Never saw it again of course xD

And it took some times to learn what a ponzi is and how it works! Think I lost another btc in this  Tongue

Gambling, Gambled around 3 BTC's at around $100 before and now that I think about it it wasn't a very good idea at all.
gambling is only going to spend your money and your time only. there is no definite advantage of gambling.
in fact they were still playing in gambling, always make a big mistake

I bought it for a high price. I now regret. But now we have to go.
I hope later on that it is worth more. But we have to forget and move on.

my worst mistake with bitcoin was investing in a couple of crappy altcoins.
they ended up dying and i just watched my investment go lower and lower in value.
Hey, please stop blaming yourself in that case because you learn when you make mistakes .. you are much better than those who just gamble their coins in greed of winning more. I think if you invest in altcoins there is chance of earning big too, so done make it let you go down.
indeed there are many altaltcoin intended to deceive, only live for, 1 time pump only. I also had investments to one altcoin. and after the altcoin was pump then the price gradually fall, and the dev is no longer online. and the altcoins being a scam

at least i learnt my lesson. i will no longer trust crappy altcoins with fake volumes and fake prices. now i research them before by looking at their topics and finding their developer to check out the potential.

My worst mistake was spending a lot of money in Genesis Mining, which seems to be melting away. It was a lot of money, I'm not even telling it because I'm ashamed of it.

my Worst mistake was sending my BTC to bitclubnetwork and thinking that it was a legit company  Angry
I hope it is not your life's savings. You should have do some research first before you make a deposit to random website you found.
Never "invest" in a ponzi with your money if you could not afford to lose it.
same with me. im join ponzi scheme. im invested 0.14 btc at the time, I am very regret
because I've worked hard to earn that much, but the site to be a scam. now I never again invest in ponzi site
I've learned my lesson
I know right. I once lose one Bitcoin to a ponzi, I was like "hell yeah".
Since then, I never "invest" on ponzi. Occasionally though...

The stupidest thing I did with my bitcoins would be holding them in an online exchange before, the exchange closed after being hacked and the BTC's were lost, it wasn't a big amount but considering how easy it is to keep BTC in a computer or offline wallet it was not a smart idea.

When I was new to bitcoins, I joined a gambling website and then thought of investing in it as it was trusted and I was getting a bonus on my first deposit. I did the same and played dice on the default choice of 32% odds which was my biggest mistake and hence I lost my first deposit of 0.25 BTC in a second.

Quite the same what happened with me. Got really hooked on this dice game and before i know it, i'm kissing my BTCs goodbye.

So far gladly i haven't made any mistakes with bitcoin, Always used hard passwords, but once my account got hacked somehow, but no lose occurred to me. So far So Good, And i want to keep it that way. I hardly loan to some one so the chances of making a mistake there are very low. And hardly gamble bitcoins.

I also advise others to not use online wallets.

There is no harm to trust and use online wallets as it giving more fast and no hassle transactions especially if one is doing bitcoin transaction almost everyday.

After all, you are the one who are in charge to make it safe. Hacks are preventable. If you think not, then you can use multiple online wallets. One practice is to not store large amount of coins in a a single wallet.
