Borrowing in cryptocurrency is not a good idea at all owing to the fact no one can actually predict the price of any coin. This space is highly volatile and has been like that since inception, one really need to be careful before ever thinking of such.

Yes I agree to you buddy its hard to predict what will happen to the altcoin you are borrowing maybe it can be dump or pump its better to be safe I have no interest in borrowing any altcoin.

For a coin you can't actually predict its performance. Borrowing in cryptocurrency market is a quick ticket to bankruptcy. Please always endeavour to spend within your reach. Invest what you can afford to loose. Simple!

+1 you need to be careful to your move before you invest in cryptocurrency like what you said borrowing can caise to bankruptcy.

I am interested in opinions about borrowing in cryptocurrency.
If a cryptocurrency will have low price volatility, then would you borrow in that token?

If not please tell why?
Firstly, you can do it if you know the token price will goes up within the allotted time. Usually, if someone intend to borrow cryptocurrency they will use it for day trading, so as it doesn't matter how the price situation either in the lower price situation or when the price is higher. If you looking for a suggestion, I guess it depends on your needs. You should know the purpose first if you intend to borrow the token, if your purpose is to trade you should know first the movement price token itself.

Secondly, you have to know there are time limit for you to paying back the token, if you don't pay it in on time you will get the risk especially for this forum your account is the target. I just give you a suggestion, if you intend to borrow the token then the most important thing you should know about trading field, if you really on in short term investment I'm sure you have a little chance to paying back the token in on time.

Well yes if I really need some money and I could only borrow in crypto then why not,
After all it is my only option. We just need to pay it up before the price starts to go higher.

It will not be advisable to borrow crypto in because there might be a very big problem in paying back in the future.

Imagine that you borrowed coin when the value of the coin was about $3000 and when you are ready to make payment, the value of the coin became $6000, you know it would be very difficult to make the payment because it just seems as if you are paying double the amount you have borrowed which is so not cool.

Borrowing in fiat is the best for now, because you have nothing to lose since the value is same.
Well it could alsobe the other way around .
Imagine you borrow the coin at $3000 then when you are going to pay it ,
The value was only around $1,500

If my earnings were with crypto, I would try. Personally for me, it does not matter which money I borrow, the important thing is from which interest I borrow. There are already dozens of projects created to lend, in this forum you can borrow, even in this volatility.

Borrowing money in cryptocurrencies would be a good idea a year ago, because since then the value of most coins has dropped more than 80%. Borrowing now is a suicide, because we are probably at the beginning of a bull run and within a few months our debt could have increased several times.

Yes, I would borrow in crypto, but I would use futures to hedge  risks. You know, crypto is super volatile and it can easily multiply. Another good advice is borrow in stable crypto, like BTC.

First I don't really know what will make someone borrow in cryptocurrency knowing fully well how this space is, that is, in terms of volatility. To answer your question, I don't think it's a good idea and as such I can't do such.

Probably tokens will have 2 types, one of them will work as ownership tokens with high price volatility. Tokens which will be used as currency will have low volatility, otherwise, they can't work as currency.

There is too much uncertainty in cryptocurrencies that makes it unsuitable as an asset you borrow.Even for the stablecoins.there is the possibility that the coin or token dynamics may suddenly change and make a mess of the terms of the borrowing. I don't think I will want to borrow in cryptos.

If tokens will have low volatility, then what's the point of taking them?I would buy them only if absolutely necessary, if I really wanted to use them for their intended purpose! In general, I am very meticulous about loans, so I would never have borrowed tokens.

The act of borrowing and lending is common on some exchanges like poloniex. I have never liked the habit of borrowing. Looking at the situation even borrowing in fiat currency does not look comfortable to me. Considering the volatility of the crypto market, the borrower may end up paying high or low considering the time of payment.

Already crypto has brought revolutions and it has really reached great heights. The main advantage has always has been cross-border payments. With so much reduced fee structure compared to those traditional banking systems and over all transactions are much more secure and fast. This is what crypto is.Bringing world together in a common platform and creating new revolution.Things are gonna change for much more good in near future at least far better than any fiat(which is considered to backed up by gold or any other thing).

I don't interest to borrow any cryptocurrency or to lend someone any of it. It is just like borrowing people's money which most times, it is not always easy to get your money back. Also another thing that does not make lending in crypto attractive is the issue of volatility.

I don't think I can risk that, it is way too risky. This space is filled with risk already owing to price volatility, now borrowing in cryptocurrency will be another issue on its own.

Why would anybody borrow in cryptocurrency?
Because if you borrow in a coin which price is stable then it can be done with a lower interest rate as in fiat, cause there is no need to third parties like a banks.

Why should I borrow cryptocurrency in the first place? Any platform that would offer such service, would not do it free. They will want to get something in return, which sometimes might not be favourable, most especially when you are to pay back.
