When i did study, than i have no awareness about gambling, even i didn't play it, when i have finished my study. Actually, i have no interest on gambling, because my friends and my family members didn't have interest on gambling, they thought about gambling very bad thinking, that's why i always avoid it. But last one and half year, when i know about bitcoin than first time, i did dice game, i really enjoy it. So step wise, i started to play gambling.
This is important, gambling is a decision and there is nothing wrong with playing the games but when you are young and still lack maturity is best to avoid it then when you get older and are more mature you can take an informed choice about gambling.

Reading all of the replies here I mostly see everyone doesn't want to do it. Even me I won't even do that because your parents will lose trust on you if they found out that you gambled the money that they gave you.Yup, everyone will surely think like that and even the parents would give something a bad thing to us if caught gambling. But we should know that not all parents do it all. Because there are some parents who have different ideas to his gambling. And most of them are people who did not matter to the people they care about. But we never think gambling is the answer to all that we want, because if only have to choose the trading or gambling. I would prefer trading. Because trading is better than gambling.

I don't think so, I would always put education first before gambling or any other addiction or vices that I might have. Education is just something that you're going to need once you're an adult to survive. It would be really hard for you to keep up with all the expenses most especially if you live in the city when you're not a degree holder. You will be forced to either move to the province or to work like a dog.

I gambled around half of it on NBA odds. I lost that half. So I lived on really cheap food and really avoided buying anything. I even tried to avoid buying things I need like books just to save money. Was a gruesome year for me, luckily I got through. Wouldn't do that again.

wtf . man you've been through a very risky situation and it''s very difficult to be in the situation where you only a limited budget but it's good that you made your last budget to be suitable for your needs for that year
and good thing that you've learned from that mistake and you've decided to never do it again . I am also a student so I understand how is it hard for you to fit the budget you have although you already know that it could be insufficient .
As much as I am addicted to gambling i don't think that i would ever gamble away such important funds, especially if the funds are not there for myself in the first place, but are my childrens'.

I won't do the same mistake twice, moreover use my children school funds, never ever.
My gambling funds is separated from any other, so I always gambling and lose of course but not affected my life a lot, just another spending on gambling sites.

I would never bet my school funds,its just disrespectful to parents and you are most likely going to lose it all. Good thing you stoped when you lost 50% and you managed to go through that year,you learned your lesson.

One of the student problems and I have a same experienced back then with just a different story.
Back in my college days, Im really a gamer enthusiast especially the classic Dota 1 and Counter Strike. After acquiring my full tuition, I decided to gamble some of them hoping to earn more. I did this many times and my stats is pretty good. My team experienced loss but overall we have more wins so didn't have an encountered problem about money shorting. Good thing.
Now that Im a working man now I realized now how worth the hard earned money is so I will not tolerate that kind of activity to my apprentices that I will encounter.
Never ever. It would be the last I would do. I have a rule for myself that goes like this: Never gamble with money you can not afford to lose. And the school funds of the children is definetly something which I can not afford to lose. And it is absolutly irresponsible in my honest opinion.
Lol it's a young wild problems. We are all did it when we was young. But now, just gamble with the money on your pocket, not your wife's pocket.
I disagree this is not a matter of age, there are responsible people and irresponsible people, there is nothing wrong with gambling but to gamble to the point you begin to sacrifice important things for you and your family then we are probably looking at someone with a problem.

i think only non sense people can think that, i think those people who are addicted to gambling and having no source of money in invest in gambling can use such strategy to collect money using unfair means and invest in gambling. 
Hell no. I'd be out of my mind if i do that. Not everyone would be able to manage to save up the amount that you've lost in gambling so you were a bit fortunate there. But if it was me and my kid's education would be compromised i won't even consider anything close to gambling. There are things that are much much more important than our wants and we must always make sure we know our priorities and not to give in to personal urges especially if it's our kid's future that's on the line

I wouldn't do that on a normal circumstance but situations/circumstances can make you take weird decisions sometimes.
I would not put my future in risk just to have some fun or greed if ever I had some extra maybe I could enjoy it in some gambling site but I would never gamble my funds specially if it's for my future

No, I didn't gamble my school funds and I really can not do that. I value every cents given to me and most especially the tuition fees. Every time I have it in a semester before the exam period, I immediately pay it on the school cashier. I don't want to waste the hard works of my parents just to earn them money and to provide my needs.
Nope I would never do this and I think this is even crazy if you do this, if you are doing this you are most likely addicted to gambling in my eyes this is just not good at all.
yes indeed, its only make us to stolen that money for our pleasure which is not right to do. if you still have heart in yourself, then i am sure that you don't want to do this. beside that, while we use that money, we can not play with good as the money is not our money and i think is just make us to get loss.
yes i have been did it once and my parents doesn't know about that because i could double those funds by playing traditional cards indeed that was crazy things but honestly i was so fear losing all my money and fortunately i wasn't lost
