I voted for no because I will never gift any kind of money. On a wedding something personal should be gifted and not any kind of currency.

Where I live this opinion is very common, it might varie in other parts of the world

Hahah funny lol, why would you need to give it on wedding gift. keep it with yourself and if you are interesting to giving bitcoin as a gift try to give another altcoins instead bitcoin. Because we know that bitcoin is a useful while altcoins are useless. So in my opinion introduce them a bitcoin what is bitcoin. But give them altcoin.

It depends.
I will give a bitcoin as a wedding gift if I have a lot of bitcoin.
I would love to share it to my friends and family.

Why soon to be wife is not into finances, she wants to travel and I will just use my bitcoins for the fare or tour packages instead of giving it to her. She's not good in this type of technology but she knows how to handle money, possibly that she will become happier when I'll free her with some vacation with the use of bitcoin.

But before that please make sure that you will be able to spend your coins during your vacation. Are you planning to convert your BTC to fiat before the vacation? If that is the case, then you will face no problem. But if you are planning to make payments directly using BTC, then please get a list of stores where it is accepted.

I don't want to take time on looking for the places that has stores which are accepting bitcoins directly. I will going to convert first my bitcoin into cash so that I won't gonna have any problems and headache. Because if I'll only going to bring bitcoins in my vacation and I'm not familiar on the place, then that will be the worst vacation.

Some tech-savvy wedding-goers are gifting the digital currency to new couples. Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry that allows guests to give cash rather than gifts, has seen more than a dozen customers donate in bitcoin, said chief executive officer and co-founder Sara Margulis. In recent years, more than a dozen customers have chosen to route donations to the site from bitcoin wallets. Zola, a wedding registry website, has had just two cash funds created for bitcoins since 2013, a spokeswoman said. "I would expect it to pop more as millennials come into the wedding age,” Honeyfund’s Margulis said. “It’s something you will do if your friends and family are already into bitcoin.

Bitcoin as an retirement plan, bitcoin to secure the future of your kids, and now bitcoin as a wedding gift. Whether or not bitcoin replaces cash in future, it looks like the trend of gifting bitcoin instead of cash at weddings is definitely going to catch up and more wedding registeries would be adding bitcoin as a gifting option.

Avoid using a wedding gift "as an opportunity to proselytize a technology you personally believe in, but the recipient could not care less about."

People who are not into bitcoin might not appreciate getting a volatile currency as a gift, and might never use it, thus adding it to the list of lost coins, but I think people who are already using bitcoin or would most probably use it in future then bitcoin instead of cash is the apt wedding gift for them.

I thought I would sell that BTC to buy a wedding gift. It is more necessary than you give them BTC while they do not know what Bitcoin is, it is rubbish for them.

Wedding gift? Hmmm. I think its not a best gift to give in your wife/husband. The best gift you give in your wife is love and respect. If bitcoin, your wife is business oriented then give bitcoin as a gift.

Never thought about that till now. Yes I would and I will definitely do that on some next occasion. But that will be some very close person of mine. Also they will know what is the gift. To give someone who doesn't know nothing about bitcoin I would probably have to make some sort of manual 'what is this thing and how to use it'.

Maybe if the bride or groom are also bitcoin enthusiasts. Yeah it can be but if they're not I think its not a good gift. They will just stare you with blank face. Better to give them some fiat that they can use to buy their needs or wants. That would be practical.

3 years ago I had my wedding. I would prefer such a gift than money. This ensures flexibility in investing and earning more Bitcoin and money.

If they have a bitcoin wallet, then why not give them some of your bitcoin? it is not bad to give some of it and I think newly weds will also appreciate your gift because you still give effort to give a gift to them and if they already know about bitcoin and they also have bitcoin, for sure they will really love your give and save it for their budget for their honeymoon.  Grin
Why not? but true to your word Yes if if they had botcoin wallets well what if they don't have? Anyway if they know about the previous bitcoin and whether the use and how to use. and when they had a bitcoin wallet then I will still give some bitcoin kan was also useful for the future or to suffice a little of their needs. This is not a bad idea even is good, we can also introduce bitcoin on them later.

This a good idea I think. Weddings day is the day that everyone is looking forward to, and of course that day is a special moment and it's very memorable and hard to forget. Giving bitcoin as a wedding gift will make our friends feel good and of course this is will make bitcoin more known and will positively impact on bitcoin. And don't forget say to them, happy wedding today I will give you special gift, this bitcoin for you.  Wink

well, for me that is very good wedding gift idea. If the couple is not aware of it and check online what is its use and its worth then you will give them giggles and excitement that they are holding a piece of good investment for their family - it is now their duty to make it grow or they can just withdraw it

Can't use bitcoin to furnish a house, but it is money.  I agree that most people would not appreciate a highly volatile cryptocurrency as a wedding gift.  I suppose if wifey or hubby was a science geek or something, it might fly.  Otherwise...nah.  Cash is currently king.  Better to give fine china or something of the sort.  Or cash.
