In as much we don't support the war aggression by Russia on Ukraine, I don't believe such move is absolutely necessary as it's not a Russia government owned gambling business platform(s).

Come to think of it rationally, what makes you feel that this gambling platform owners ain't already negatively affected by the impart of this unnecessary war. There's no such thing as businesses growing and doing better in places and periods of war, except it's an armed business.

On a neutrally speaking for me, I only see this move as another way whereby maybe some other gambling sites are overtly or covertly trying to reduce the competition in the gambling industry.

I stand to be corrected if my perception above is wrong.

i think we need to make an emphasis on the need for peace all over the world regardless of location or race, moreover how on earth do people assume the funds from casinos can be good enough to manage or sustain the progress of a war, as for me and what i know, i think there's a need to realize that we are all one body, there might be individuals differences but crisis is what the world has been embedded on right from time and what we should be praying for is an end to it, with or without casinos funding war will still exist and funding in one way or the other will still exist but oeace will overrule them all.

The war is still ongoing and I don't think even if we boycott Russian gambling platforms wouldn't affect too much as they get their funds for war in oil exchange and not in gambling industry, does anyone know the current status of war whether they stop advancing or what. It looks like they can't occupy Ukraine as they getting supplies from different countries.

The bans and sanctions,not the gambling ones though are working quite well I would say as maybe they are not being effective to the Russian government officials but they surely are devastating to the normal civil population in Russia,give it a bit of time like 2-3 more months and pretty sure Russians will be extremely poor,I would put them in the same league as North Korea,for their civil population.
Rage also has come from many Russian oligarchs which had their asset frozen and now they are completely against the war,as I said give it a bit more time and everything is working well.

Even a dialogue like this won't have much impact because there really isn't anything we can do now to hinder or stop their Invasion.
At the moment nothing can be expected of anything because indeed when sanctions are useless then one of the last hopes is to hope they stop this voluntarily although this is indeed very difficult to happen

Very right - why sections only on Russia and not on other supers powers which are killing people for decades. Afghan - US war killed thousands of people in Afghanistan and lots of people and soldiers were killed during the same war on boards and in operations. I see lots of discrimination and this is not good. Peace must prevail EVERYWHERE without discrimination.

When you put sanctions on russia, this gives them a message to either surrender or prolong the war (if they have the courage). Since Russia is a superpower, they are continuing this fight and no one knows when this will end.
I too believe that instead of focusing on sanctions, why not have a dialogue with them to come up with a quicker solution.

Everyone thought this war would end soon. But there does not seem to be a situation where this war is over yet. No one knows when this war will end, so it has created an uncertain situation for the people of Ukraine. Those who thought that Russia would be weakened by various sanctions may have seen the current situation and realized that this was their misconception. So now dialogue is the only way to stop this war.

Yesterday I watched a video where Russian Forigen minister said - consider Ukraine is Palestine and Russia is USA - would those sanction stand?
I think these sanction are not to stop war but to weaken Russia ONLY. But Having said that. . . War is not a solution... Both the countries should go on dialogues to solve the problem.

Look on a situation from different angle. Try not to lose, but instead make Russian gambling platform go bankrupt. With it, you will reduce amount of tax paid and reduce war funding. How do you like that ? Would you support the movement aimed to bankrupt Russian gabling platforms? Or lets hire Ocean and his friends to rob their safes?

You see, all these boycotts, sanctions, rallies, bans or leaving Russian market does not work so far. This situations between Russia and Ukraine must be settled on a different level.

Yes, you`re right. Everyone can choose how to spent his money by himself. And i do the same - if i don`t like something or someone - i don`t use their products. But i don`t create threads talking to everybody what to do.

And why don`t you boycott communistic China? There is a huge quantity of positions you can boycott.

While it is true that sanctions have never really worked in the sense that by enabling those sanctions they changed the posture of a government regarding a series of policies they have taken, like starting a war or adopting a communist economic system, at the same time people are free to vote with their wallet, and if they want to boycott Russian products and services then they are free to do so as they do not want their money to indirectly support the Russian government.

Almost vote and opinion here forget with how many years United State invasion war to Iraq, Syria then not any care with how many years Israel killed Palestine people and take their country. But when happening with Ukraine just few two months many countries try to suspend and banned Russia, why they not care and try to boycott with United State and Israel? Almost with Ukraine support countries they not care when Unites State and Israel war invasion and most busy right now announce with boycott Russia after invasion to Ukraine.

This is what the thread is talking all about on which they are boycotting to cut of the lines but considering that there are various sectors or industries on which Russia could really get other
sources of revenue which could really be able to fund up the war.Yes, gambling industry is big but i would say that this wont be enough on stopping this current crisis.

For boycotting support then it would be falling or ending up on someones personal choice because some are really that supportive and some doesnt really care at all.

We do just all hope for this war to be over considering that lots of innocent lives had been lost.

This thread is about Russian casinos. I understand that you do not support this boycott and you have the right to do so. I believe that if I can peacefully do something that can shorten this war, i.e. reduce the financing of war by reducing financing of the Russian government's budget from taxes from Russian casinos, I will be glad to do it.

I want to remind you that governments represent their nations. What Russians do to stop the war? Oh, #nowar hashtags doesn't work on Putin, nor it changes the mind of the government or the government itself. Action is required to change the things, empty words without actions behind, doesn't work.
So, we don't see massive protests in Russia, I have never seen millions of Russians out against Putin. So, I assume they support the war, what should I think then? The idea behind sanctions was to push Russian people to change their government and stop the war from inside but wait man, you can see how they crush Iphones and other things to protest the sanctions and prove that they can live without west.

I would not use Russian casinos. First of all, I think if I gamble on Russian casinos and lose, then at some point I indirectly support the Russia against the Ukraine because the profit that casino makes goes into Russians budget and funds their soldiers. Seriously, do west casinos lack any promotions, features and design? What advantages do Russian casinos have? What if they block your account? What can you do? Nothing, absolutely nothing.

The OP started the thread 28.02.2022. Today is 02.05.2022. Can someone say the results of "collective boycott"? Russia lost? Israel stopped bombing Syria and Palestine? Saudi Arabia removed their forces from Yemen? US removed their forces from Syria, France from Africa?
This is one of the most hypocritical thread here. What percent of posters can find Ukraine on the map? No one said nothing for last 20 years of wars, why are you crying now?

I think most of the world has already understood that what Russia is doing is wrong and shouldn't be allowed in the 21st century.
The sanctions will certainly increase, and Russia will cut itself off from the world more and more, and this will lead to the country's development going back years or even decades.
I do not see any other peaceful way to prevent Russia from continuing this war, such as boycotts and sanctions. Sooner or later Russia will not be able to handle it.

Russia has history like US and Germany, and it's not going to change. They are one of the largest oil producer. And this makes them more equal.

Russia is still trying to survive and do a counter attack with regards to these sanctions, they are trying to turn things round and they can really do this considering the natural resources that they have, I wonder how long they can handle this and the other countries that are also affected by this. Well, I do support the boycott but it looks like its not that effective, I believe on a stronger sanctions that could stop Russia from doing the war.
