Last July has been held Congress as well as legislation planning that eliminated the actions of technology companies such as Libra Facebook. Whether it is a financial institution or affiliated with a financial institution with a specific purpose. The contents of BILL prohibit building, retaining, and operating digital assets. If violated, a heavy fine is ready to glide.

Trust me, no real crypto enthusiasts would ever go for that coin. We might as well stop using his social media platform anyway because it will be like giving him access into not our lives only but in our financial matters as well. These are private matters and need to be kept as such and not let in the open hence Satoshi's vision for bringing up cryptocurrencies in a decentralized manner, why make it a centralized one.

Well... I don't think that the existing cryptocurrency users are the target group of Libra. And the existing users may stick to other stablecoins such as Tether and USDC, as they give more anonymity when compared to Libra. The user-group that is going to be targeted by Facebook is the 19-34 years age group, who haven't used Bitcoin before. They may be curious to try out the new payment method. And some of those who refrained from using Bitcoin due to its vague legal status may also jump in for Libra.

Waiting how enthusiasts of investor with Libra coin after launching to public, will be like bitcoin investing or not. Without know when launching to investor I think is not best way to talk with Llibra coin, how to get profit with investing way without know when can invest. I will join with Libra investing if worth for investor and get profit.

With so many controversies arising from this tech giant's ambitious actions, we never truly asked the most important question.

Would the people actually use Libra should it be approved by the congress?
Just tell me why not? I'll use any type of payment method which I need at the moment and which is acceptable for receiver too, it just depends on situation. Facebook's Libra won't affect any of my action even if they track it because you have to know when and why to use it. If you are paying with Libra for something that's private, I guess it's better to ignore it. If you just want to send some bucks to your friend, then what's wrong with it? I can't understand why does so much hate comes for no reason.

No worries, it wont even get the slightest chance to be passed.
Not while Trump is around.
We could wait for the end of his term then maybe we might see a shed of light.

I wont use it just like how I dont use Facebook. It is something that would really start a big event that we havent seen at all.
Into what it is? The financial domination. Anything which you have could be taken away from you if you have debts.
Worse than a bank.
It is hard to trust Facebook with anything, no doubt. We have lost our privacy for sure but we do not want to give control of our assets to Mark. I also think that the reason behind Libra’s creation is to control masses financially. Moreover, why is Facebook the first one to launch a crypto coin. There are tech companies that are far bigger than FB like Apple, Amazon, IBM, Microsoft. Why is Mark in such a hurry?

I don't use Facebook or Libra coins because I want to see progress and how many Libra users are and if I am interested I will study them first even though at the moment I am not interested because there is no evidence yet.
and in my opinion for those who have long been involved in bitcoin or cryptocurrency which have proven to be profitable, it is not easy to switch to Libra and although yes there will definitely be a learning process first and see its development.

Out of principle, maybe not. I'd rather have them "curate" my life for me and then shutdown my account for doing something they find "unacceptable".

People currently in their platform would much prefer having that cryptocurrency opposed to what we want, which is Bitcoin. It's centralized, quite stable and would be much faster in handling thousands of transactions per second rather than the Bitcoin network. However, since they have a lot of privacy concerns, I would not be attracted to use such kind of cryptocurrency and would still use Bitcoin, which I think many here is the same as me. But for those who just wants fast transactions (and does not care what a thing is, as long as it works) then most probably, they'll use it anyway.

I think congress should not accept it. because it will undoubtedly be the most profitable business ever due to the extra business of crypto trading, where there is great demand.
But they will certainly be the largest money laundering business in the world because governments and the SEC will not be able to control the money flow in this decentralized market. It will make a big hole in the US economy in the future.

If we are using facebooks digital wallet and services provided then everyone will use it's libra coin. but how could everyone use it when they didn't give everyone a hint on what is the use of their coin and how it could help them. using libra and fiat at the same time is too difficult for others. so libra's uses are not that totally working 100% because 80% of facebooks users are posters and use it for entertainment only. so we can't say that the libra coin really is worth everyone.

I don't use Facebook, I don't have Instagram and don't use Whatsapp, and I sure as hell not going to use Libra - Facebook will just sell all my data to everyone who is willing to buy it, and can also freeze/seize users account for some bullshit reasons, like they do on Facebook the site. Libra is a serious threat to society, because it's a step towards a dystopian future where giant tech corporations own everything. In this case it's a good thing that the government stepped in and blocked Libra.

I feel that Facebook will make all users to use Libra  Grin

They can't force anyone to use Libra. But at the same time, they can encourage the usage of Libra through promotional campaigns. And if that happens it is going to benefit everyone. But it is too early to predict anything. They are facing a lot of opposition from the politicians (especially those in the United States) and the major payment processors may not be happy with them.

I won't use FB's Libra because first of all, I am not a fan of centralized type of cryptocurrency and second is, I don't shop a lot online or do spend money online because most of the time, I focuses in making money online compare to spending. I want to make more money through trading, investing into decentralized and true cryptocurrency rather than paying attention to facebook's stable coin.

Of course they will, there are so many people that Facebook has actually taken their business to a very great height with the use of their platform for ecommerce business, and Facebook building this coin will actually be of benefit to those people more, and you can imagine the number of people that are really using Facebook platform for their business.

Secondly, one of the things that I feel we still lack in the adoption of cryptocurrency is the lack of merchants to help in enforcing the use of cryptocurrency and the only way they can enforce it is when they are accepting cryptocurrency, this is what I know that Facebook coin might target more, just like PayPal, they will target more or merchants who are the ones that will enforce the use of these coin on their platform.

I will invest my money in Libra coin after legal and can be access to public, now I take profit with new investment like Libra coin where got many positive respond from investor, I think when Libra coin have open to public I will buy and start investing. Possible Libra coin become success with many public discussion talking with Libra become best competitor for bitcoin.
I think Libra will have a very good legality because it might work with a variety of platforms but it might also be a very easy thing to do because considering the Facebook founder mark is also behind making Libra, so I think the use of Libra will be very much and its development I'm sure it will be good.

from what i hear, libra might only can be done/use only on the platform, facebook, whatsapp and instagram. other than outside that, I'm sure not many people will use libra even though "if" agreed by the congress. libra is full of controversy.

Even though I said no, many ordinary users will really do it because Facebook's user base is above average, if 1% is active with libra then that is enough to make it wider in an instant.

many people will test the features they will provide, even if the rules are made very loose, especially regarding kyc, then libra will be adopted on a large scale because facebook is very popular with the attraction of using a very simple platform.

I personally will not use the libra, because I do not trust it. I like telegrams more, because they never allowed a massive data leak and it will be a truly anonymous cryptocurrency. In addition, the libra has many other problems, which are mentioned here https://neironix.io/cryptocurrency/facebook_libra
