I don't think Libra coin will be great as other cryptocurrencies, so i think i will not used Libra coin even it become successful because Libra coin is not good for investment that it will only be good in storing your funds and making payments because it will only be a stable coin.
I'm not a supporter but we will see it. The total user of facebook is billions and that's why they're leaning on this project because it's impossible that out of those total users, none of them will be curious enough to use it and try it as a payment method. But the comparison of their coin to the other altcoins is absurd. I wouldn't use this coin either.

I imagine Libra gets so slimmed down, its just another version of Paypal and people will use it for convience and its integration into that platform.   Facebook is so massive, its inevitable people will use this form of payment at some point.    Paypal usually gives some kind of purchase assurance so I guess it'd be similar with Libra.
The larger ideas of any kind of block chain or even crypto usage is less likely and its not well known that Paypal also began with the same idea of an independant currency but found it far easier to just copy dollar.

I think that the hype for Libra has gone away, i mean at first people thought it was a good idea and it is gonna revolutionize things, but after a while it seems that it is gonna be just another shit coin that is backed up by a big name, that is not gonna have any use for it other than just the facebook platform, they tried to pull many investors and other companies to start accepting in them, and it go a lot of praise and acceptance but now with many of those companies pulling out one by one, it seems to me that it is going to be a disappointment before it is launched, but who knows what might come out of it we just have to wait and see and decide whether to use it or not.

Libra was dedicatedly designed for facebook user itself.
If you call Libra a cryptocurrency then it is not dedicated just for facebook users, the reason they are facing issues is because they wanted to come up with a stable crypto currency that could be used to store your value and if they are looking for micro payments then facebook will not face these regulatory issues, so there is a big difference between the two.

With so many controversies arising from this tech giant's ambitious actions, we never truly asked the most important question.

Would the people actually use Libra should it be approved by the congress?

Libra was dedicatedly designed for facebook user itself. If they will be obliged to used at somepoint like payment without any optiom besides it then they would be using it definitely. If talking about something unreliable and then you'll be using just to prove something then I don't. This issues are primarily unsatisfying but when time comes that these issues have been solved maybe it deserves to be approved by government.

I wouldn't just go for it when there is no reason to make use of it. It's a stable coin and the main purpose is just to serve as a payment method. So if there happens to be a lot of companies and people making use of it and accepting it as a payment method, then I might have to also start making use of it if there is a need for it.

Just like how I started making use of Bitcoin; I never had plans to make use of Bitcoin until there was a need for it, I wanted to do a transaction and I needed Bitcoin to receive the money that was being sent, that's how I got into it and developed more interest when I discovered that I can trade and even make more earnings from it.

The only attraction i see in Libra is that it is a stable coin and we will have a fixed exchange value and it is suitable for all the traders who are looking for a stable coins that can be trusted, everyone is using the coins that are available in the market right now but the risk is higher and if there is a stable currency from a reputed bank or a company then i can trust then i holding my earnings in that stable coin rather than converting that to fiat currency and that is an advantage you have as a trader. Whether they will fulfill those is yet to be seen as it is difficult to get it regulated.

Facebook is a reputed company, but there always a chance that their funds can get stolen or seized (no matter how small that chance is). So I would say that rather than storing my wealth in Libra, I would store it in the form of physical cash or bank deposits. Libra is more useful for trading and I would not consider it for investment of any type.

We can never really tell at this point.
Definitely, there are much to anticipate with Libra but don't overhype just because it is handled by social network king facebook. Although there are millions of user, there is no guarantee that they will support it.

We haven't seen the full working project as of today, everything is based on the surface so we don't know if people around the world are going to actually used it. So it is still 50/50, and we all know that Facebook doesn't have a good track record as far as data privacy is, remember the Cambridge Analytica debacle?

Me too, I'm also worrying about these issues where facebook is involved in scandals such as database breaching. Last year it was cambridge analytica who used the harvested personal data of millions facebook user for election campaign. It was also the cambridge analytica last 2015, if a worker from cambridge analytica did not whistle any of this, facebook could have not known such big database breaching by cambridge.

Too early to talk, to early to judge. Maybe facebook learned a lesson or maybe not. Not just an interesting topic for now.

Facebook launched Facebook Pay and I think this is preparation for the launch of Libra. I think people will enjoy using both of these services, as shopping through apps, sending money to each other and many other features that Facebook provides are very convenient. However, the future is more for Libra, because this payment system will be based on cryptography, which makes it extremely convenient.
Convenient, only if people choose to use facebook, other than that i think it would be useless in another platform. Though they have Libra coins which i think can be used as a crypto asset but that's just it. Nonetheless, it might as well just the same in any other cryptocurrency that would turn into a stable coin.

No doubt for this one to be a stable coin yet it had been mentioned earlier about this matter.I don't see any relevance for this coin to be used outside apart from facebook itself.

So simply means that this one can be only used up in the platform but who knows if they do have those plans for it to be widespread on various services?

You need to remember that Libra is not supposed to be a speculative investment asset (similar to Bitcoin). It is a stablecoin with a fixed exchange value and therefore not suitable for investment purposes. It can be used as a currency (for making payments) or as a store of value. But Libra is not suitable for making investments. And that is the main difference between Libra and Bitcoin.

Facebook already has a market place, so I don't see any reasons why people don't use it. Even more enticing for the marketers and buyers if Facebook will use it and put a special discounts and freebies when purchasing using the Libra coin during the first phase of their distribution process.

Although Libra coin is a stable coin, but it's still a good introduction for the millions of people who has yet to engaged in cryptocurrency.
Yeah it's something like inevitable... you will use it anyway.

There might a lot of confusion at the first day libra used widely as a mainstream digital currency , those people who know nothing about the digital money would feel amazed on how things could get done quickly and easily wondering why this thing didn't exist since long time ago etc.
While the cryptocurrency enthusiast like us worrying about how that kind centralized digital currency could destroy the dream of cryptocurrency space to free people from government slavery, banking slavery while actually you can standalone... managing your own money.
I really do not think that it will become somehow compulsory to use Libra. It is not like this is the only digital asset around. We have far better options than FB’s coin. I personally do not like this coin because of its intentions. It is best for investor to choose bitcoin or some other good altcoin that has no authority, meaning decentralized. With the passage of time, everyone will get comfortable with digital coins.

Why are you always thinking about one direction and being so aversion about libra? Although libra coin may lose many features of a crypto product when operating in control but offsetting libra coin, it is a first and strong foothold in the community, and the better thing we can see from it is that libra coin is an approach between crypto users, governments and everyone else. Therefore, whether we use libra coin or not is still very dependent on the advantages that it is updated after launch, can't handle everything emotionally

Possible get chance and have higher profit with investing on Libra coin I think why not try participating become Libra coin investor, I will join many investment way so far give us profit and I can earn many altcoin in next days, although Libra or Facebook coin have popular in the world by manage Facebook platform media social owner.

Much is not yet clear about Libra, which is why many think that Libra can make a profit by investing there.
Will think to use it if I get more benefits from using it, eg the price of FB Ads will be cheaper if use Libra as a payment or another business provide Libra as payment method and give discount I will considered to choose Libra, but if the ratio is the same as using Fiat, I don't want to be too complicated with having to exchange fiat to libra.

If there will be a chance, then I will use it. I could actually see good potential out of Libra but when it comes to security, I'm a bit doubting about it since there's an issue about Facebook security measures. I guess it should gain the trust of most investors and users first. Libra still has a lot to prove and it should still have to build a good reputation.

Are you asking whether people would use it in general or would *I* use it?  There are two different answers to each question.

People would use Libra, I'm sure.  Anything that has to do with facebook is a hot commodity now and has been for years, and I don't see that popularity decreasing, even in the long term.  But I don't know exactly what libra is *supposed* to be used for, since its supposed to be a stable coin, and I haven't seen anything that answers that.  Seeing as how other stable coins like Tether get a lot of use I would have to assume that libra would as well.

I wouldn't own any, tho.  I don't own any stable coin because I have no need for anything like that.  You can't make a profit with Tether or any of the others, so they don't interest me.  Right now I am just interested in whether libra will get by congress or whoever is resisting its release and make it to the market.  It most likely will, but I think facebook will have to make some concessions in order to appease the gov't.  Should be interesting to see how popular it becomes once it does make it onto exchanges.
