How long does the verification process usually take these days?

Shouldn't take longer than a business day, if that.

Edit: Since I wrote the message below the issue has been forwarded to the technical department and is being fixed.

I just wanted to report that I've been having issues with the stop order function. Non of my orders execute, they just disappear.
I've contacted Bitstamp support, this is what I wrote:

Quote
1. I bought 1.2491 BTC for $398. The price then went up above $400.
2. I set up a stop order to sell them if the price went down to $400 again.
3. The price went down to $395, my stop order disappeared, but non of my coins were sold.
4. I set up another stop order. It once again disappeared when the price went down, but non of my coins were sold.
5. Because the stop order function didn't work, I later sold my 1.2491 BTC manually using the regular limit sell feature.

The company secretary at Bitstamp is not taking his or her responsibilities seriously. It is a major disappointment to see such an unprofessional attitude at one of Bitcoin's largest exchanges.

A few weeks back they were threatened with being struck off the UK company register, clearly because of not filing papers on time. If they want the benefits of UK incorporation, and not give themselves bad publicity, then they need to file all their returns on time at CH.

Sadly agree. Looks like they're focused on the fun part of running a business - making money, completely ignoring the regulatory requirements (filing deadlines etc).

They've also appointed 3 additional directors, 1 of them in May, 2 in January 2014, but they've notified the CH about it on 28th Aug (so after 7 months!).

They really need to get someone who can take proper control of such things.

bitstamp are badly managed, it's a shame that bitcoin is still largely reliant on ass hats like them.

How come Bitstamp Limited haven't filed their first accounts yet??
The incorporation date was 25 July 2012. Aren't you overdue?

As per Companies House, you have 21 months:

6. How long do I have to file my company's first accounts?

If you are filing your company's first accounts and those accounts cover a period of more than 12 months you must deliver them to Companies House
•within 21 months of the date of incorporation for private companies or
•within 18 months of the date of incorporation for public companies

or 3 months from the accounting reference date, whichever is longer. The deadline for delivery to Companies House is calculated to the exact day.

i want put my bitcoin in bitstamp very securly . this bitstamp reccomended to save ?
i know thats large exchange

You should never rely on someone else to keep your BTC secure. If you don't mind sending them your dox and answering personal questions, it should be OK for buying/selling BTC. I wouldn't recommend them for day-trading unless you only do so with small amounts that you wouldn't mind losing in the unlikely but possible scenario of Bitstamp ending up like Gox, and I would first make some inquires to check whether they have fixed their trading engine.
just curious. what's wrong with their trading engine?

hi,

bitstamp changed bank again?  Huh

just to make sure.

previously was unibanka.

Same bank as always for me:

think it was changed to a different bank.

The screen cap is from the day I posted it, should have mentioned that.

Conclusions: it seems for some user, the bank is still Unicredit, and for some, it is now Raiffeisen.

@hazek

Could you please clarify if you are changing banks (for everyone? for some users?). Changing the banking details (if only for a subset of users) is a big enough deal to announce it, I believe.

Got the deposit confirmed by Bitstamp! Seems the confirmation time needed for Raiffeisen is just 2-3 hours more than Unicredit! The fees deducted from my deposit is just 0.0482%, much lower than 0.1% declared by bitstamp! They always charge my deposit for 0.1% when using Unicredit.

Just got another message from Bitstamp...

Quote
sincere apologies for the misleading information regarding your first question.

Bitstamp recently entered in a relationship with a Raiffeisen Bank. That means that both bank account are operational so you can either transfer your funds to our Raiffeisen or Unicredit account.

The exchange rate stays the same in both cases ( http://www.unicreditbank.si/tecajna_lista/?t=1&id_menu=&language=ENG )

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again.

Best regards,
Anžej Simičak
support manager

Hmmm, let's see about the exchange rate shall we Smiley.

**Edit**

Confirmed, it still uses unicredit's exchange rate.

Another reply from Bitstamp, they have confirmed that they are using the prices at http://www.raiffeisen.si/ceniki_in_tecaji/menjalni_tecaji/1 to figure out the conversion.

So for us brits, it's a nice bank to use.

Raiffeisen shows 10000 GBP = 17,086.7286 USD
Unicredit shows 10000 GBP = 16,969.43 USD

Just got to confirm that it's accurate information Smiley.
