BTW, can you guess how many months and pages later devs will fight through DPOS? Huh

I refuse to believe that hero member on bitcointalk could be so naive.
I disagree, someone is very naive here Grin

Sarcastic comments about issues/drawbacks that arise at the same time as others are putting effort to fight through them (e.g. sponsoring delegates, lowering entry fees, etc.) are totally unacceptable...  or as I would say FUCKIN' RETARDED NONSENSE.
I was asking questions about this "issues/drawbacks" months and pages ago, but devs prefer first "issue" this issues and only then "put effort to fight through them", that is very very wrong approach imho. Roll Eyes

Polo is not frozen, they are just too lazy to post a correction.  I have been trading on Polo for several days.

I sent in a support ticket.  You might as well.

You know it, I know it. Some other people might know it too. But for thousands of Poloniex traders it looks like XCR is frozen because there's something really wrong with it.

I also sent a ticket.

I sent in a ticket too but I am not qualified to make an official statement about current XCR status.  They had trading on April 11 but zero XCR trading in the past 24 to 36 hours.  It seems that there is ongoing miscommunication that needs to be addressed - 15 BTC on the buy side vanished with the freeze announcement and hasn't come back.  With Bter closing and Cryptsy stuck on an old wallet, Poloniex is the ONLY fully functioning exchange to bring in new Crypti members.  I understand not worrying about price during development.  Still, smooth trading on Polo at SOME market price is critical for XCR to be viewed as a healthy coin.  Trading at Poloniex should be monitored and nurtured and watered like a rose in the desert until we branch out to other exchanges.

Have a quick look the exchange, why the price is crashing and there is almost no bug order?
Not crashing, just not enough buy interest. This may change after DAPPs.
As we've said from day one, we won't focus on the price or any of those external factors during development.

Take a look at the Notices box on the right side of the Poloniex XCR page:

"XCR Frozen at Dev request. - Posted by GeezUp at 2015-04-09 17:17:27"

I've been thinking about this some more.  If this is all some kind of snafu where Polo misinterpreted a temporary shutdown of withdrawals as a true coin freeze, then it's not enough for Polo to just say in their Notices box, "XCR unfrozen."  May I suggest:

"XCR unfrozen, devs announce successful changeover to new 0.2.0 DPoS blockchain".

CRYPTI DEVS HAVE DECLARED TO THE WORLD THAT XCR IS A FROZEN COIN.  AS FAR AS THE REST OF THE WORLD KNOWS, CRYPTI STILL REMAINS A FROZEN COIN.

Think PR 101, guys.  If Crypti's not frozen anymore, somebody might ask GeezUp at Poloniex to share that info with their 68,000 traders.

There was pretty good momentum going at Polo with the 0.2.0 launch, with 15 BTC and rising on the buy side.  Momentum is a very precious resource, hard to obtain and hard to regain.  Killing trading momentum by freezing the coin, never saying why to anybody, and not officially discussing status or lifting the freeze after four days?  Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know all the facts here, but this kinda looks to me like either price suppression or an unnecessary shot in the foot....

I was thinking about the same thing. For example Bter just disabled deposit/withdrawal for a few hours and nobody even noticed switching to 0.2.0. Poloniex instead of it for some unnecessary reason declared that XCR has been frozen and it looks like it remains frozen up until now.

what i should do to become a delegates?
pay 10k XCR and run a node?
if say so, i can be a delegate to support the network.

Devs is going to announce some big news and asking not to register new delegated for a couple of days.

I think you will all be happy with the changes being made. We will update you all soon but in the meantime, don't register any more delegates if you are reading this!

So the 10k delegate idea failed - only 6 delegates. Sad
Will 1k idea bring 60 delegates? Huh
Oh, still not enough Cry

I understand that some people might disagree with how starik69 expresses himself...

I don't agree with Smaragda, for me you just look extremely stupid. Do you actually think that number of delegates depends on such arithmetics? 10K fee = 6 delegates and 1K fee = 60 delegates? I called you a troll because I refuse to believe that hero member on bitcointalk could be so naive.

Have you identified any memory leaks yet?

In the beginning I had over 200MB free on my node with 512MB RAM, but after running for some time it was only around 45MB free. At the same time it also started to miss forging more and more blocks, so I had to restart it.

I use to see this on the smaller 512MB nodes from DO during testing. I would recommended upgraging to a 1gb node, and if your still seeing this issuse I would move from DO. The only thing I could ever come up with was its how they partition the Ram on the servers. I'm running 10 nodes right now, 3 of them are at DO and are 1gb each. They are running just fine and have double forged in many rounds. They don't use more then 300MB tops. For some reason its how they have the servers set up, 300MB on a 512MB is not the same as on a 1gb.  I hope this helps, please keep us up to date on what your seeing. Thank you for your feedback

As we've said from day one, we won't focus on the price or any of those external factors during development. We aren't even done with half of the features that will be a part of Crypti. Hang in there. We are still over here hammering away and when we are all said and done, we feel we are competitive with anything else currently on the market or announced for future release. That includes Factom, Eth, Eris, or even BTC for that matter. The one thing you have to remember is what I have said from day 1; Crypti isn't a get rich quick scheme and it isn't a fly by night project. We aren't pump and dumpers and we aren't here to promise the world and under-deliver. We are here to build what we set out from day 1 to build. You crowd-funded us to build something, now we are building it. Have patience. Winter is coming.

I would also like to pledge some XCR up as a bounty for new delegates. I'm pledging 20k XCR for 20 spots if we move down to 1k.

So looking at all this makes me think of something if ppl are will to pay $200 for a delegate, once Tx volume picks up as well as price, would it be better to have it

1,000 XCR = $200
or
10,000 XCR = $200
