Can someone help by organizing relevant information from the old thread regarding things like our anon feature / x nodes / blockchain 2.0  --> this will help people more easily see the innovation of XC

In terms of the future I have this post which collates a few snippets from the dev:

The mixer technology will be multi-path across a cluster of xnodes which runs over the encrypted protocol, so it won't be a central server, it would be similar to a distributed cluster, and the data is encapsulated inside that encrypted tunnel to prevent off-the wire sniffing (or off-the-air* for the mobile platform)...  DRK didn't "invent" supernodes or the concept, and while some of concepts are similar and/or overlap, we are on a different path than DRK and as we refine the platform, it will be clear why our design, implementation and infrastructure is superior as we will have autonomous supernodes using PKI that can scale up and out to become a distributed anonymous application platform

This is why the multi-path paradigm network I built back in 2005 still functions to do this day and scaled up to meet the demands of 2014... think back to 2005, granted we had the internet, but not the mobile technology - and that is a key part of my background is mobility that will be leveraged in the android anonymous POS wallet

http://arxiv.org/ftp/arxiv/papers/1208/1208.3022.pdf)
(The principles for this concept come from a design that I originally leveraged back in 2005,[multi-path paradigm] the system still runs to do this day handling 50k to 100k users per day )

If your waiting for NSA proof anonymity - well that is the goal of our REV 2 release..

No, mixing is only part of it, XC now contains a completely new transaction protocol layer that is encrypted and will be leveraged as a platform for all sorts of concepts.... and it will leverage multi-path paradigm topology (which again is a custom developed concept based on dual-path paradigm)So mixing is just the first application to run on top of this new protocol........ Don't want this key point to get lost --- mixing is just the first application, the list is long and the potential is huge, and since the foundation has been built and deployed, it is now time to build on that foundation.... with some revolutionary concepts and idea's.....

Also the infrastructure for this will support numerous other applications, such as encrypted messaging, P2P exchange..etc granted we can only develop new features so fast, but we are putting the foundation for a multi-use, multi-purpose platform

This is where the nsa talk is coming from! Also if you visit old thread and search nsa you'll find plenty said About that by ATC

Synch, has this been distributed via a paid for press release service?

If not I would like to pledge $500 in BTC for a paid press release that gets delivered to premium financial sites like Wall Street Journal, yahoo finance etc. I know a service that will hit a ton of top sites and get lots of indexing on search engines like google and yahoo.

In the press release we can also embed images and file attachments like pdfs and even a video if we want. We can also link to the a news section of the XC site so people can keep informed (lots of people won't know about bitcointalk).

We haven't got to rush this and can spend time preparing it carefully.

I will cover the cost of the release and send you the BTC in advance. In terms of constructing the release and the content I will leave that to you and the rest of the XC team. I am impressed with how you put everything across. We may need to "dumb it down" slightly though, so it doesn't go too far over everyone's heads. My only input is that in the article we make a small comparison at some point to Bitcoin (something a lot of people know) and highlight the strength of proof of stake, XC anonymity etc. Comparing to things the public know already will be a fruitful approach.

I will discuss the company I would like us to use and anything else over PM.

Please message me.  Wink

Hi all

Just to let you know that Mr_Random's very generous donation for a press release is going toward a paid campaign by PRWeb this week.

If you'd like to increase its impact, feel free to donate BTC to 15wMLApFR6Xyxn5QtvHtMy9GSWuTY231oU.

Here's to making XC a household name,

Arlyn

I was just about to ask what the plan was for mr. randoms donation, good to see we're about to turn up the heat and get the word out.

I'll donate $100 more, logging into coinbase now.

Lets get the party started.

Received. Thank you!

If anyone else wants to donate, please see the BTC address in synechist post quoted above. Even a small donation by a handful of peope could make a big impact on pr for rev 2.

Lets tell the world.

wtf is going on, really? people start selling right now before rev2. we almost back at 110k

I'm wondering about the same thing.

It does not making any sense....

This is how market works. Dump is imminent, so whales can shake weak hands and buy in cheaper.
Expect a dip before the release. Not a bad thing, chance to buy more.

plus it's 4th of july week, lots of people on vacation, lower volume, no news, no breaches......

Well, there is a way to find out if it is NSA proof post 7/7/14, but I am not going to be the one to toe that line.

I have a feeling that the NSA will know whether or not it's NSA proof shortly after 7/7.

REV2 only 7 days away! Will offer an NSA proof anonymity solution! Going to be huge!
“Will offer an NSA proof anonymity solution”
I hope needs DEV confirmed this Shocked

Dan mentioned something similar 3-4 weeks back but we'll see what happens on 7/7!

I don't recall Dan making claims about XC being NSA-proof yet. Also, in order to back up such a claim one would have to take the awkward step of kindly asking the NSA to fail at hacking your cryptocurrency. Not something I imagine they'd embark on or disclose. :-)

In my opinion it would be sensible to avoid non-falsifiable claims like "NSA-proof", because there's absolutely no reason to make claims that can't be tested. And to do so introduces irremovable doubt about your statements, and can also inspire potentially dangerous trust in a system that may not be as secure as claimed.

So let's be empirically rigorous about security standards and use language carefully. The only way I know of to describe the level of security of a cryptocurrency is to specify conditions under which it could be hacked, like, say "a quantum computer could do x and thereby brute-force y." And then let's progressively make XC immune to any known attack vector.

Dan said something quite a while back along these lines, "Well, if you want NSA proof, wait till REV2"

Perhaps he would take that statement back now that it has been several weeks and he has a better grasp on the project.  But I do recall him saying that.

Anyone have any idea when we can expect payment for our x11 mining efforts on hashevolved.com site??  I had rentals pointed at it for around 5 hours of the last shift (at over 200MH) and now I can't even see the stats for that address (XaBHWdASdPhz9QZui9Bc6CFUizKHonGkA8)  :/

I'd like to know whats happened?

Hi JCPoon, and everyone else.

Here's an update:

We are currently having connectivity issues with the server itself, so administering it, is not proving difficult, it is actually next to impossible. As such we have decided to take the pool down, till our ISP sorts out our packet loss issues.

We can tell you that the previous shift for x11 works out to about 220 XC and will be paid as soon as our connectivity to the server is restored.

We have decided to stop the pool until that happens and till we can confirm that the x11 payment has gone out.

Please note - This does not mean that any work you have done in the current shift is lost, it's just been put on hold, i.e. your shares are safe.

I would like to say that we are working hard to resolve this issue, but truthfully we're at the mercy of the ISP support team and their bloody 'line tests'.

The absolute worst case scenario is that everyone will be paid manually, however this is something we're not prepared to do just yet.

Please ensure that your miners are off or been switched to backup pools till you hear from myself or Dan.

We like to thank you for your understanding.

Sta @ HashEvolved.com

That's awesome, but please don't let this distract y'all from the Rev2 release.  I was one of the people hashing over the weekend there, and I can wait.  This is a 'nice to have', and the coin/tech itself can do without.

Good points, lets keep that term out of this and other threads. The real goal is having the most private crypto with as many layers of annonymity as possible.

Do you want to make a bet?  1K XC that he launches rev 2 on or before that date.  Get an escrow and let's bet.
