I don't know what the pessimistic people are thinking...  BTC was near 700 bucks back then.  Now, BTC is below 400 bucks.   XC actually holding at above 120k+ Satoshi means that if you would have bought into XC back then, you would have prevented the lost of nearly 50% of your btc value.

Just think about that for a minute.  Stop whining about how "horrible" the price is and look at the whole picture....

Sorry been away for a bit and saw some of the updates without diving too far into them, just a quick one though with the IPO

Do I have to trade in my existing coins for it ?

anyone got a link that explains this ?

Is this 2 different coins now ?

I hope to see XC keep going, you guys made me and some buds pretty good btc over that past months and shit!  I hope the price always stays high for this coin!  Shocked
The price is horrible now.

high?? are yo kidding? Cheesy yes, its horrible now and the same from june. My prediction - we will be at the same (~130k) by the end of the year, and REV3 wont be launch until that. Sorry for my pesimism today, but i will quote this message at 31th of december, because it will be like i said.

You are obviously ignorant to the impact that the ITO will have on XC's price.  The ITO is not too far away, and will come before REV3.

My opinion is, that the price is correlated to a few things like:

Rev2 was released weeks ago and we still don't have a linux and mac client, this is contra productive to the availability and useability of the coin.
I agree that a mobile wallet for android/iphone is also important but no client except a windows client for a closed source coin is a no go.
Even the tor-Stick is useless as it doesn't provide the latest version of the client (as it's also linux).

I think all operating systems should receive a client at the same time, as this is very important for the mass adoption of the coin.
It even shows that we care about every user. A new release should also provide an updated tor stick.

I think at least Rev 2.5 and Rev3 should be released after a working client exists for all major operating systems.

I, for one, can't use my coins and parked them in an exchange as i only use linux.
The current situation forces me to buy a windows license and even worse install this crappy OS just to receive and send coins.

That would only be a big deal if people are unaware that XC is still in development and hasn't launched publicly.

We're sorry for the delay, but it's just not feasible to release versions on every platform without testing the code first - which is what's been happening of late with the windows build.

In contrast, Rev 3's code will be fully ready for the public and available on all platforms on launch day.

So - what's the difference between XC now and the "Public Release"?  The public is using it already genius  Roll Eyes

+1

i think every release from now on should be available for all major platforms on release date. I mean no one will invest until Rev3 where one can test it on all operating systems
As the code is Qt code it shouldn't be a big deal to compile it for all major operating systems. Other projects release just the source code and one can compile it on it's own.

Do we want adoption now to happen or after Rev3?

someone said that ITO will be before REV3 and TEKA said that REV3 will be in AUTUMN (50days left). So will it see ITO and REV3 in AUTUMN like you said TEKA ? or it will delay? because it seems that it will delay and its very sad and bad for XC!

Buddy, how are there any delays when no ACTUAL timeframe has been set for ITO and REV3. Until FIRM dates are set and passed without any updates, then there are no delays. People need to stop rushing or trying to move things along they don't control or don't understand. Building a business, as well as a coin as promising and featured as XC takes time and TESTING. They want to get things right, getting things right takes time. REV3 will get here when they are confident in the tech. Don't rush things that are being completely re-invented from the ground-up, just be happy your actually a part of it before it goes mainstream and gets BIG.

In Crypto We Verify
This was an amazing albeit very long video about bitcoin in Canada though it seems more focused on the blockchain in general. How would Dan or Arlyn feel being in Andreas' shoes when XC goes main stream? Especially how would one answer the first inevitable question about money laundering, purchases of illegal goods/services? Bitcoin somewhat seems to get a pass because it is not really anonymous/private.

Teka, can you at least say whether the ITO is going to be this year or the next year?

At this current moment in time, the details of the ITO are being ironed out so no.

Nice I need to load my bag more
