This is my opinion about this situation:

  • Jasin has been frank, apologetic, and has remained in communication on the Litecoin thread about developments pertaining to the ASIC project.

Sorry, this is the furthest thing from the truth.

You can feel the buzz in the air.  People can no longer ignore XC and the technology behind it.
Dan and the team have been rock solid.  The community is getting bigger.
Been holding since day 1. Looking forward to see where XC is 1 year from now Smiley

I love how someone from keycoin has the nerve to come over here and spread FUD, KEY would be NOTHING without XC's code.

Keycoin has nothing at all to do with his post. XC would be nothing without Bitcoin.

Up next, we have the winner of the XC TOR Stick competition:

       520Bit

Also, thanks to the community's generous request, a second TOR Stick goes to:

        Mr_Random

...for his generous contribution to XC's fledgling PR effort.

Thanks Mr_Random! Your big-minded generosity put XC on the map; now we're out to conquer every inch of it.

The TOR Sticks will be shipped at the earliest possible date (possibly a fair bit earlier than the general public).

To the winners: send me a message on XChat and we'll arrange your TOR Sticks pronto.

Below is a rather inexpertly-shot video of the selection of the winner:

Good timing for FUDs. Where were the FUDs when prices were stable? FUDs pours in when spectacular news hits. Someone is simply afraid and/or jelly for what XC team has accomplished.

*Cracks open a beer.... gives one to DAN the MAN* Cheers brother!!!

The PR blitz will show everyone what the future brings and hopefully they look more into XC. I don't expect much of a price pump unless the large bitcoin holders decide it is time. But one can hope XC can break the 200k barrier once again.

He should heed his own warning then?  haha.  Since Key coin is based on XC code...

I'm sad that I just heard about this coin.

Don't be. It's just one buck. Get some while you can, while it's still under 1K.

Concerns about Jasin

Thank you atomicchaos.

However we've been well informed of this issue, have responded publicly, and have encouraged community members to read up on progress with Jasin's ASIC project on its litecoin thread.

This is my opinion about this situation:

  • Jasin is not an “employee” of XC, and his projects operate completely independently of XC. Thus XC is neither involved in nor affected by the status of his ASIC project.
  • Jasin has been frank, apologetic, and has remained in communication on the Litecoin thread about developments pertaining to the ASIC project.
  • On the Litcoin thread, Jasin's stated reason for not disclosing information about the reasons for the delay of the ASICs at an earlier stage is that he did not want to spook the developer before he could get the funds back from him. There are no reasons to doubt this statement.
  • Jasin is a businessman with several ventures, which is entirely the norm. Unfortunately this has led some people to conclude that his other ventures, like XC, are diluting his energies. However it is unreasonable to assume that businessmen should not have multiple ventures, or that their energies are thereby diluted. In fact, Jasin is energised, not distracted, by the synergistic potential of his various ventures.

In the light of the above, my conclusion is that Jasin has acted honestly and in good faith, and that this situation does not impinge on Jasin's character in any way.

Furthermore, Jasin's reputation incentivises him to defend it and make amends. As a result I believe that he will take satisfactory action in due course.
